AndNow It’s Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

AndNow It’s Thursday

Morning from the sunny 45th. Lookng to be a great dsy with highs in 70’s. Was a beautiful evening yesterday, cool enough for a light jacket but great for an evening walk. Dogs and I took a walk around the subdivision, hated to come in, but all good things must come to an end eventually.

Beth, the flowers are back outside and will be staying there. Going to have to watch tomorrows weather, as showers and storms are in forecast, some possibly severe. Hope no hail as don’t want them shredded. Also planted the asiatic Lillies, Shasta daisy, tall phlox and black eyed Susan yesterday.

Oh Sharon, so sorry to hear about the accident. But glad you weren’t hurt, other than maybe some soreness. Sad to lose the car too. Hope you can get some transportation pretty quick, although you have Lola as a backup.

Well, the workers are rolling in. Septic tank installation, actually two, still ongoing. Yard looks like a bomb went off. Sand piles everywhere, not to mention trenches. Clean up crew from tree company just went by to pick up the stumps and debris from the tree removal at another neighbors. Had to clear trees that were interfering with their septic system. And yesterday, the planes were training over on the firing range for Camp Grayling. Sounded like an all out war, with the jets roaring and the bombs dropping. I can feel for those in Ukraine, having to deal with that for real and hours and days on end. So, was a bit noisy with all that going on plus the beeps, bangs and machinery across the road. But we are used to the firing range and depends on wind direction too. Our military has to keep in Reediness and they keep us free.

Hesding I to the backyard today. Bit of mowing and then raking. Tine to get it cleaned up back there before the rains move in. Have a nice day all and stay safe.

Morning Sue and All, a nice day in forecast. Car show at Ocean City means heavy traffic this weekend. Disappointed with new dehumidifier, since it was not packaged properly and not sure what that means. No wrapping on product and cord was just shoved in box. It does have a manual. Posted recipe for mousse, makes a lot, wonder if you could freeze portions. Never did make chili so will do that today and usual housekeeping. Sharon, hoping you are doing ok. That’s my itty bitty. Be safe

Good rainy morning! Hard to believe how cool it is and high 80’s and possibly 90 into tomorrow. A quick update on my situation. Spent a good part of yesterday on the phone with various people and finally early this morning other company responded and accepted responsibility for my car and rental. She even said it sounds like my car will be totaled so guess I’ll need to start thinking what I want to do to replace it. Getting rental probably in the next couple of hours and need to go clear out my car. Feeling okay but am definitely more sore then I was yesterday morning! Been taking Tylenol and using the heating pad plus trying to keep moving around to stay limber. Thank you all for you kind messages yesterday. Meant a lot to me. Oh, and my frozen food made it home this morning! So guess that’s what my day I going to be. Sure glad I got up earlier then normal since the phone calls started before I could finish my first cup of coffee! Judy, hope you have a great trip and I look forward to your blog! Time to get ready for Enterprise to pick me up so best get moving! Have a great day and enjoy it.

I got the front and one side of the motorhome washed late yesterday afternoon. Finished it up this morning but can't get the bugs off the windshield. I have tried scrubbing with glass cleaner and a sponge with the rough side. I think I got them but when it drys I can still see them. Grrrrrr

I have to leave for my hair cut at 11:00 but will have to change clothes. I was looking for some shorts to wear to wash the motorhome but I don't have many shorts. The ones I'm wearing need to go to the ARC or the trash. There is nothing wrong with them but not very cute. I don't think we have anyplace left in town that sells clothes except Walmart and the dollar stores. I haven't been to the mall in months. Macy's looks like they are almost going out of business. They closed the second floor.

I checked my phone this morning and it told me I didn't have a sim card. I turned it off and back on and it's working. I usually get a lot of messages and there was only one. Hope it's not going out.

Sharon, glad you can get a rental car. I have heard that they are hard to get around here. With the price of food it was good that you had help saving your frozen food. Hope you don't get too sore.

Martha, try a wet dryer sheet to remove bugs from your windshield

Martha, those sim cards do go out. I think I was on my 3rd in previous iPhone, when I replaced tne phone at 6 years, not because it didn't work, but because I wanted a new bigger phone. I just take to Verizon store, tell them the message and they pop a new one in and its good to go and they don't charge me, because without it I have no Verizon !
2 degrees cooler for 0830 when I woke today. But we are to begin getting wind, with gusts to 40 mph and our humidity, which was 18% last night, will drop further, sucking moisture out of plants, ESP weeds and grasses! Red Flag warning throughout our big Sacramento and Central valley!
Planning a evening trip over to Costco, as fuel lines are shorter, and like to keep tank topped off. Gas up 10 more cents overnight to $5.54!!! Hopefully I can get the chicken my cats eat! Buying extra since Mandy has decided she likes it too!
Have a good day all and stay safe.

a real do nothing day wasted 2 hours on the phone just doing the FB stuff finally made myself put it down and went out and thought oh well day was wasted anyway so worked on my Swedish Weave... one more half row and I will have the diamonds finished ... then it gets into the real pattern loving the colors in it ...
had soup for supper enough left over to not toss away but not enough for even one person so it is now in the freezer will hope that it freezes well..
I think I am tired of planning meals don't mind the cooking but hate trying to figure out what to fix...
my cousin's daughter started up a FB page for people to post pictures of what they fixed... one of the gals on it posted a healthy breakfast consisted of avocado toast with a egg on top and chia pudding with a banana sliced on top of it when I asked what was in the pudding she replied now all I can recall is chia and Greek yogurt surely there was more but I for the life of me can't remember and couldn't figure out how to save that conversation. Kerry's sister in law made a Keto pudding for a meal for Kerry's birthday a few years back thinking about it might not have been Keto might have been prior to Keto but it sure was good... will have to go look at the recipe Shirl... oh saw one the other day where you replace the ice cream in a banana split with Greek yogurt the picture looks yummy the toppings are fresh fruit and granola
so since I did nothing today tomorrow I really need to accomplish something more than I did today and that is not going to be much...
we had rain this morning perked up the pansys could even see them....
I brought over a hanging basket the kind with the insert that you put soil into how ever didn't plant it last summer as I couldn't figure out where to plant it that it would get care and not hang really low... so it's just been hanging out well sitting it out noticed the mag pies helping themselves to the twiggy stuff in it by the mouth fulls  one had his beak so full tried getting more and couldn't almost lost it all
glad you got a car already Sharon hopefully the process goes quickly so you can start getting the new car... and hopefully you won't feel more stiffness
you all have a great day

Good morning!

I finished my French class Wed so now I'll have more time to try out this retirement thing. I'll have even more time once Jordi starts preschool full-time mid-June. Not sure what I'll do with myself but I'm ready for a little break.

Judyb, I hope your trip goes well. Can't wait to hear about it.
Sharon, glad they're getting you a rental car & that you're not hurting too much. Take care.
Velda, I go to Sam's or Costco super early in the morning when lines are short. I'm like you I keep my tank topped up.
Sue, sounds like alot of activity at your place. I, too, think about & pray for the folks trying to survive in Ukraine - can't even imagine!

Only plans for today are to clean out the fridge, mop floors & get some groceries. OH & get a Taco Bell Mexican pizza! :D
