Good Morning everyone. Weather report from northern Michigan is a chilly day, high might make 40° And some white stuff flying around here and there. We had a beautiful weekend with temps in 60’s and low 70’s, but Winter refuses to let go. So Rita, we are in the same boat. Normal highs should be in 50’s.
Enjoyed reading the posts from past two days and want to say, that I too enjoy whatever conversations come along, pictures of your hobbies, tales of travels/camping outings, dog shows or just the routine day to day stuff, Weather reports from different parts of the country etc. Keep ‘em coming, each is unique and different. Although this is an RV group and some are still doing that, many of us have retired from it and are just doing whatever our days lead us to do. Hence no new members as new RVers want RV info/advice etc. and we don’t talk RV a lot like we used to, when we had our rigs etc. . But there is a wealth of experience on this forum and all they need to do is ask.
Shirl, I enjoy your gardening tales and I think you have inspired many of us. Anybody can garden, but yours is unique, that you are having great success in containers on an apartment balcony. It shows anything is possible when you put your mind to it. You’ve even got me started as I am growing a Green Bell pepper plant. Will see how it goes. Just planted it a couple days ago. It will stay in my house till warm enough to go outside. So we are transitioning from RV’s to gardens and flowers.
Anne, I agree with the others. Your jewelry work is beautiful and unique and should be priced accordingly. You have a rare talent there. Lyn, sorry to read about your daughters difficulties, starting out for NH. Hopefully the trip will go smoothly from here on.
I finished the cleaning up of the expanded section of my backyard, so now the dogs can run around in a bit bigger yard with no debris in the way. It’s down to bare mulched ground and we shall see what Motber Nature decides should grow. I am hoping grass, but there is also Perwinkle myrtle emerging. Am painting a log birdhouse I bought from Hobby Lobby too, but it’s been sitting here, waiting for me to get back to it. Want to make more birdhouses and a couple flower boxes, but need to wait till the garage warms up more later this week. Today I need to clean this neglected house and then ai can go back to fun stuff. So will wish you all a nice dsy out there

Morning All, foggy, rainy and humid. Time to start using the inhaler again. Going shopping at Boscov and Lowes with #2 daughter. My two favorite stores so will be fun in spite of the weather. Anne, your jewelry is beautiful and it’s time to raise the prices along with the rest of the country. Maybe we need our own ART GALLERY section for all our artists. A place to visit when we have one of those days. Looking forward to shopping but wish I could go barefoot and in pjs. Be safe
Sue, where are you?

Mornin' Sue, Shirl & all that follow~~~
Lyn, I'm sure it's different for you now that your DD and sweet pup Benji are no longer keeping you company. Let us know how you're doing. I like the idea of a GTG at your place, but I'm no where near CA. Keep busy, keep swimming and keep rolling on the scooter. Miss you lady!
Can't remeber everything else I've read lately. I left WI early. It was so windy!! Sustained winds for days. I moved back to IL for 3 days. Temps aren't much better but at least I'm out of those winds. Temps in the 40s here too and frost warnings. Looking at FB memories and it was alot warmer in UT and IA in the past. So still waiting for warmer weather and when I can stow the winter coat.
For those that were interested in my route east, here it is. Tina not sure when your dog shows are but I'll be back towards Cuyahoga NP in a couple of weeks.

Good morning Sue, Shirl and all that chime in!
Sue, I admire your talent to do so much woodworking around your house, yard and community. I can't wait to see your bird house when it's done. Shirl, have fun shopping with your daughter and let us know what you found to bring home. Lyn, is your daughter back on the road to NH? BJ, the picture of Pippa with her toy is so cute! Anne, your jewelry is so nice! I'm going to go back and look at it again. Hi Cheryl! Safe travels to you!
The weather here in central FL is warm and sunny and we'll top off around 90 degrees this afternoon. We could use some rain but it doesn't look like there's any in the forecast for anytime soon.
The friends that we traveled around the country with came yesterday and he complimented me on the crab cakes I served. He said he wasn't used to having a crab cake without fillers. This afternoon, a group of us from the resort will meet at a Mexican restaurant in Wildwood. I'm not particularly fond of Mexican foods but found some things I can get that will still work with my low carb diet. But for me, it's more about the camaraderie than the food.
I broke my one and only butter dish a couple days ago. So yesterday I went to the two only stores in Webster that I thought might carry them to no avail. Steve has an appointment for lab work this morning, so while we're in Ocala, hopefully I'll find something there. I didn't think finding a butter dish would be that difficult.

I remember having to go out and find a butter dish for my stepmother when she had her small apartment in assisted living. I think I found one at the Thrift Store.
And I wanted to remind Shirl that if she was in Florida, wearing PJs to the store is a normal thing...so I noticed. They probably would at least expect flip flops on your feet though.....
Just back from the Dermatologist. He took a spot of below my right eye. Just wanted to be sure I looked my most distinguished for that college reunion. I had earlier thought to reschedule because I know from past history that there always seems that something needs to be frozen off or sliced but the office is so scheduled out that I gave up on the idea. At least my face will be memorable and we all know after all these years there will be name tags!

Sun today and so far light wind! It is also cooler which is fine with me those 80 degree days need to come gradually for me. I'm posting a couple of my watercolors here as I wasn't sure where else to put them. The one with the trees is the one that was in the show. So far I haven't got them out, keeping up with the dogs takes a lot of time!!

Good Morning, I love water colors. I especially like the one with the brown mat. Have I told the story of the water colors at the Shelborn Museum in Vermont? Let me know if anyone wants to hear it. BJ, Pippa has gotten bigger!
Cheryl, lucky you on the road again.
My daughter and BF in their new truck are driving across Oklahoma today. Truck running well.
We text frequently. I follow along on my map.
I have a small slow cooker and a small air fryer. I am saving receipted for each. I only use very easy receipts. (I always have trouble spelling that word)
Another beautiful day here. Going into pool soon.

Good morning gals! Just laying in bed. Feeling guilty about it tho. I am telling myself it is OK to not have a million things to get to today and I can relax a little.
BJ, hope you find some time to get back to painting.
Lyn, please do tell the story! And I am also interested in a GTG with you and whomever else wants to join in. I just need a 2 week notice to give at work for a few days off (if I am going to San Diego, I want some time to hang out at the beaches too!).
Have a good day ladies, and if you have some warm weather, please send it to the Midwest.
I can send some of mine FedEx overnight!
It will be in the upper 90's again today!
Sue, we need a photo of your new back yard!
Cheryl, have a safe trip out east!
Have a good day!

BJ, I like your watercolor paintings! I'm starting to get caught up, so maybe one day you will see my watercolor stamping paintings.
Yesterday, after Curves and Treadmill, followed by shower, I finally got NightOwl, my class B, out of the driveway and out for a spin. Went across the city to Costco, for diesel. Spent $85 on 14 gallons. But hadn't been anywhere since 2019! Today, after the HVAC tech comes and checks the fault code and restarts system, I hope I have time for a little drive and the smog check. That will check another deadline off my list.
Still fighting pain from inflammation caused by the virus, but better. Still have several places to fix account numbers from the credit unions upgrades. That will all keep me busy!
Have a good day.

Tina, since we had to go to Ocala this morning, I went to the Goodwill thrift store looking for a butter dish. You are the second person to remind me to go there! Since they didn't have one, we went to the Walmart across the street. We did find one. It's somewhat bulkier than I'd like but we brought it home. I may look on Amazon to see what they have. Speaking of Walmart, there were two cashier lights on for checkout and of course the self serve checkout. The latter had a line so long I wasn't interested. The other cashier checkout lines were long as well and Steve and the guy behind us had a good conversation about the "good old days" of not having the self checkout and cashiers that were more than willing to keep the customers satisfied. Today it was a fiasco.
Shirl a couple years ago, we were in a Winn-Dixie grocery store when we saw a lady not only in her PJ's, but robe and bedroom slippers. So I guess it's wear what you want!

This is a wonderful busy site!
And another talent revealed! Lovely paintings, BJ. Wearing pajamas in pubic seems to be a thing. Lyn, it's not just bikinis that don't cover much anymore, but some of the celebrity dresses! Cheryl, hope you find warm weather. It's slow coming here.
BFF and I are signed up for an 'end of the season' 7-day Alaskan cruise through her senior center. End of September isn't ideal, but it's cheap and a good getaway.
Way past time to get busy!

The saga continues with my motorhome. Yesterday I decided to go to Auto Zone and get the engine battery checked. Half way to town the battery light came on. The girl at Auto Zone said my battery was good and thought it was my alternator again. Before I got out of town the battery gauge started going down so I stopped at the first parking lot to get off the road. I called the local towing company that I have used before but they can't tow my motorhome and didn't know anyone close that could. I always travel with a battery charger/starter so decided to try something. I put the charger in the passenger seat, ran the cords through the window and hooked it up to the battery. Started the generator and plugged the charger into the motorhome and drove to the shop in New Iberia, about 25 miles. The highway between Abbeville and New Iberia is 4 lane with a wide shoulder so I knew if I had trouble I could get off the highway. They can't look at my motorhome until tomorrow or Thursday.
This morning I brought them the service manual that shows what needs to be done at 60,000 miles. They could probably find it on line but there were some things I wanted done and not done. I needed to bring some papers to Edward Jones but do you think I remembered them, NO. I had thought about picking up some cat food at the feed store but since I will be going back to town tomorrow figured the cat food could wait. I stopped at the old drive in restaurant to pick up something for lunch. That place has changed hands and now they serve mostly plate lunches. The lunch today was BBQ pork steak, rice dressing, beans and potato salad. The BBQ was dry and too salty. The big part of the plate was full of rice dressing so I have enough for the week. The guy kept calling me Sugar. I felt like asking him if he called his Grandmother Sugar. Don't think I will be going back there.
Shirl, I use to feel like I had to dig in the dirt in the spring. Now I'm just down to my roses and a few bulbs.
Barbie, I think all the stores sell now is feed corn. One year when I had a garden I planted some sweet corn and that was the best corn I have ever eaten. I don't know why they don't try to grow it and sell it at the farmers markets.
When I worked in town it was very common to see women in PJ's and house shoes if I stopped at the grocery store on the way to work. That's not something I would do but Sugar and I make many a round in a robe and PJ's at the campgrounds with a bag of poop in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
We had a cool front come through last night and it got down to 66 but is up to 80 again. I finally got the trash burned this morning.

Cold today--high of 50, compared to high of 84 on last Sunday. So, I need to dig out the second electric heater. Put it away because I figured spring and summer was here--HA, HA, HA, HA!!!! Mother nature always gets the last laugh. Nice to hear stories about planting gardens, anyway. It is the one thing I really miss from living in a real house.
I remembered a funny book I read about cats being tracked. It is called "Lost Cat" and you can finish it in about an hour.
Which reminds me about cats being smarter than dogs--don't want to get into a big discussion, but I was chatting with someone about how dogs go out and eat anything rotten they can find, making themselves sick over and over again. (My dog way-back-when did that a couple of times, and we thought she was dying of some dread disease, which turned out to be only rotten chicken.) But a cat is very fussy about what they eat, and while they can be very superior-acting and unfriendly at times, at least they know who their friends are and choose friends and food very carefully!!
Cheryl, where in Cleveland are you staying? I am in Punderson State park next week. That is southeast of Cleveland.
