WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Apr 22, 2009 4:07 am

GOOD MORNING, ALL!!

That heat from the western states is heading our way, and I can't WAIT for it to get here this weekend...for us, it will be a comfy 70 degrees, with sunshine! I got the Suzuki Sidekick back from the repair shop yesterday---had a new starter and battery installed---and it runs like new! So this weekend I will load it up with my generator and vacuum cleaner to suck out the leanto, spray cleaners and rags, clean bedding and sleeping bags and pillows and food and water, and off I will go to my first campover at the pond for the season. I am so hoping the heat will wake up the Spring peepers so I can be sung to sleep all night long! I will spend some time clearing the roads and trails around the property, too, with the tractor and a chainsaw so I can cut up the trees that blew down over the winter. I will take some pictures and a short digital video of my first campfire down there!

Coffee will have to wait for me this morning, as it's Fossamax day, but there's hot coffee for the rest of you.

We are in the middle of inventorying all our books in the library at school. And a few English classes will be in there for a couple of weeks beginning today, doing their final research project of the year. The end of the year is always a busy time for us, as we have to account for each and every book and end up with a lost and missing list. I also have to process the orders for next year's books with a long and complicated process. BUT, as I am being transferred to a classroom next year with developmentally handicapped kids, this will be my LAST time doing library stuff! I am sort of looking forward to the change, but am also a bit fearful of what I will run into in that classroom. Oh well----life is never boring!

It's 45 here this morning, and still rainy...but terrific spring weather is on the way! YIPPEE!!

Hope you all have a fun day and will share it with us!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Soos you might want to rethink those spray cleaners, your lung are still recovering from the cold you had. Inhaling fine mist from chemical sprays can aggravate respiratory ailments and they found a direct correlation between the use of household spray cleaners and the new onset of asthma in adults.

Also, I think laundry products are something most people would not consider as a respiratory irritant but the following paragraph is from the web site http://www.thedailygreen.com/environmen ... ety-461208

"According to the health and wellness website Sixwise.com, some of the most harmful ingredients in dryer sheets and liquid fabric softener alike include benzyl acetate (linked to pancreatic cancer), benzyl alcohol (an upper respiratory tract irritant), ethanol (linked to central nervous system disorders), limonene (a known carcinogen) and chloroform (a neurotoxin and carcinogen), among others."

There are lots of good web sites on cleaning with non-toxic products. White vinegar and baking soda are cheap and are great cleaning products.

Good Morning Soosie!

Can't wait to see pics from the pond,.... I'll bet the peepers will be singing loud and steady now that it's warming up. Enjoy!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your camping, I hope the weather co-operates. Today Beth and I are going looking for cheaper accomodations. We object to spending 27.00 for a campsite. Beth took a bunch of photos yesterday when we went to visit some old Missions. They were from the 1600's. I forgot my camera, I felt naked without it. Today we hope to visit Acoma, the Sky City.

Good Morning, all.....

Just pulled the "wild berry" muffins out of the oven....have one while they are still warm.. ;)

Another sunny and warm day in Georgia.....and of course, Ernie's out on his morning walk.....nothing planned for today....so will work on ABC afghan #4 some...

Soos and Cedar, I miss the peepers......but my sister keeps me informed on how many times the frost has quieted them....already has been the traditional 3 times in northern PA, so hopefully you'll get their song all weekend with the warm weather....Enjoy!!

Okay, off to my reading of posts....
Have a great day, all...

Morning all. Hope you do get our warm air Soos. It's down right hot, mid 90s!
And grass is turning way too early, looks like June.

I'm mulling over calling someone to replace the gutters on
my house. Or else just get busy and clean them out for
one more season. Would be good to at least get an estimate.

For now I will revert to my usual solution to any problem..
go for a walk!

Have a fun day....
