Thursday Already!

Morning. Guess everybody’s sleeping in. Time’s flying by. Seems like it was just New Year’s and then it was Feb. 1st and now it’s Thursday already,
My day is a bit messed up but a little productive, if you want to call spending money productive First off, got a call from the flooring store. She was going to come measure bathroom for the new floor, but wanted to know if tomorrow would be okay. No problem. Been doing business with them for a long time. Then got 2 quotes from fence installer who came out yesterday to see what I wanted done and measurements. One was for new chain link fencing and the other to move and tighten my existing fence, add about 12 more braces and install two new 5 foot gates. Going with that. Proposal as about $2000 cheaper than the chain link and my current fence is almost invisible as the wire is green and blends into surroundings. Going to have it moved back 20 feet along the back yard and the dogs will have more yard space now that the forestry mulching project from last fall cleared all the brush and other stuff out. Piper will have a blast chasing squirrels up the trees for sure now. Thought he would schedule it for early spring, but can do it next week He has a machine that can do into frozen ground and we don’t have much snow. Just have to wait for MISS DIG to come out on the 8th and mark my underground utilities. Then snowblower dealer called, blower is fixed, paid him over hone with charge card. They will let me know hen they bring it down. He’s just as apt to call me from the driveway when he gets here too so between all that, haven’t gotten into anything as Molly has a vet apt. For boosters and rabies, so can’t really start anything.
Barbie, congrats on the trophy. Looks like you were having fun. Beth, maybe you should sell Benson and find a place in TX instead.
Neighbors who bought the house around the curve here and moved down the road have been busy fixing up and getting settled. He had a nice fire going outside yesterday, burning all the tree limbs and branches he’s been trimming off trees. Like king really nice out there. Place has been neglected for at least 8-10 years. He said he’s got 90% of what needed to be repaired in the house done.

Olympics are starting. We have a bit of Olympic fever here as one of our local ladies is on the U.S. Women’s Freestyle Aerials ski team. Her name is Winter Vinecki. And a teammate of hers hails from the small town of Boyne City, about 30 miles from here. So half the women’s aerials team is from northern Michigan. Winter is very athletic. She is the first girl to have completed a marathon on all 7 continents before she as 13 and she and her mom, the first mother-daughter to do so. She moved to Park City, UT when she was 13 to train for aerials on hopes of making the U.S. team someday. She’s now a college graduate, so she’s been at it for a number of years.
Guess I had better get some lunch. Will be time to leave for vet before I know it. Have a nice afternoon/day everyone.
