Morning. Still dark out there but not too cold. Warm front came through, to be followed by cold front later and rain. This afternoon. So am heading to town in a little while and then come home, so I can put the shrubs covers on before rain moves in. Supposed to have some accumulating snow over weekend. Covers will keep the snow from bending the shrubs out of shape over the winter. Am also in the middle of cutting out the one Christmas woood pattern and want to get that finished so I can bring it in the house. Be too chilly to work in garage after today.

Love reading all the memories from college. I went to Community College, so no dorms, sororities, and the usual college stuff. We drove to class and went home or to work or whatever. The college I attended had two campuses, one being out in the country, which was where I went. This was back in the turbulent 60’s when students were objecting to the Vietnam War etc. The campus I attended didn’t want to be bothered with that. We went to get an education and I think because the student body was a mix of young people like myself and older people who were working on Associate Degrees for work or whatever, had a lot to do with it. That group called Students For A Democratic Society had a group out there, but the Student government body, threw them off campus. We didn’t want them around. I think as we get older, we tend to think back on a lot of phases of our lives and “remember when”. I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. Maybe it’s the tines we are in.

Shelia, we have a bear in this area too. Comes and goes. It has a penchant for bird feeders. So whenever it raids somebody’s feeder, the Association sends an email alert out and those who feed birds, take in the feeders. After awhile They put them out again. Bear disappears for weeks and then might wander through again. Was here Sunday night and hit neighbors feeders few doors down. Funny thing is, a lot of neighbors had trash cans out as Monday is pickup day, but it didn’t bother any of them. We have a very picky eater

So, am going to wash my hair and eventually be off to town. Meijer has turkeys on sale for 33 cents a pound and if any are left, will grab a couple for neighbor as there is a limit of 2. She gives one to her employees for Thanksgiving and also cooks up about 3 or 4 turkeys for her dogs and then packages up the meat into serving sizes and adds some to their dry food everyday. Better than the canned junk out now and they tolerate it better than chicken she says. I like Turkey but the White meat and legs. So I usually don’t buy a whole one, just a Turkey breast. I cook up Ground Turkey for my dogs. At that price, I might buy a whole one though.

Morning All, sunny and cool, another beautiful day. Sue, wouldn’t that be great if I lived down the street I could use you to try all my new recipes. Lol. I went to Food Lion early, bought a turkey breast and a little Christmas cactus plant. I went to Lowe’s yesterday and bought three houseplants I have never tried. There isn’t much info on the little plant tags and I will remember that. Looked up care instructions for Mamy Croton and it is toxic to animals and people. Said to wear gloves when handling. Now do I trash it or drive 50 miles to return it? Don’t need anymore danger in my life. Will wait for email that the Walmart order is ready and then will relax. My shopping and facing plant danger has exhausted me. Lol. Be safe

Mornin' ladies~~~
We've got the rain and wind this morning that Sue is expecting later. Forecast is for some wet snow over the weekend, but only on the grassy areas and wet streets, which is always fun here with oil, etc on the road. Makes me think of the song 'Slip Sliding Away'. Simon and Garfunkel or just Simon?

Cashed in actual silver coins Dad had stashed ($1, .50, .10 and wheat pennies). A couple of steel pennies from the 1800s too. Face value about $12 and got $100. The guy even asked if there wasn't grandchildren to give them to. Nope, and it's just more weight in the camper.

I need to make a run for a large bin for some of my clothes I have in a dresser, then I think I'm to the point to call Amvets for a furniture pickup. The next major clean out is the attic and I'm not looking forward to that! May do what I can, and then get a dumpster in the Spring. Thankfully my HVAC cousin 3 doors away has the scrap guys phone number. Think I'll be keeping him busy for a bit. Progress is definately showing now. I've told my cousin who's my executor she'll be lucky if I stay in the camper for life. Not a whole lot of stuff and it's already packed.

That's my mid-month news. Not to itty bitty lately. Have a good day ladies. Stay safe if you're traveling and warm if you're stuck up north.

Morning all. I've been awake 3 plus hours but still lying in bed. Ty hasn't been fed or walked. Yes, lazy!

Cheryl, you've accomplished a lot! I'd be afraid of the attic lol. Seriously you should be quite proud of yourself.

There's some kind of water problem between my fresh water and water holding tank. Last spring a mobile repair service replaced a part and ever since I occasionally have a slight leak when the pump is on. So I never leave it on and everything was fine using city water. Ha. Until yesterday. I returned from taking the RV for the oil change, etc and hooked everything back up ... And where the slight leak if using the pump is, became a much faster leak with the hose connected to city water and turned on. Turning the city water off stopped it and I'm back to using the pump quickly. I'm going to rehook the city water shortly and see if it immediately causes the leak again before I call the mobile guys. I mean, I'll still call them, but I'm not sure it'll do any good if the problem isn't there. I'm beginning to think I'm imagining things, but I'm not.

I wasn't going to wash my hair today but since it's wet anyway guess I will. I went out to check the cat food at the barn and needed to bring a bag of food. I got caught on the way with the food and got wet. I should have done that yesterday. Thank goodness I checked the air in the tires yesterday and got them filled back up. I have everything loaded except the cold food. I am always afraid to load the refrigerator when I'm not in there to make sure the refrigerator doesn't go off. There is a front coming through about noon with more rain. The campground is only a little over an hour from here. My kind of trip.

I haven't seen any turkeys for sale around here. Sugar would love for me to cook turkeys for her. She must not be feeling good this morning. She didn't eat her supper and didn't want any scrambled egg this morning. She eats every piece of crap she finds when we walk. She found something on the side of the road yesterday and I couldn't get it away from her.

Shirl, I wouldn't think that a store like Lowe's would want to sell a plant that is toxic. You should mention it to them.

Sheila, I remember you talking about Maid Right Burgers before. I looked up a recipe and tried to make them. I wasn't too impressed. It's hard to make something when you don't know how it's suppose to taste.

Anne, you dad sounds about like mine. He thought he only had to support us until we turned 18. My two brothers turned 18 a few months before and ended up living with friends families until they graduated. My sister graduated one night and got married the next night. I didn't turn 18 until July so I graduated in May and went to my Aunt's house in Dallas. I worked the summer I graduated and my Aunt helped me start college in the Fall. My dad wouldn't fill out the papers so I could get a loan so I had a working scholarship at the college. I worked in the dinning room sometimes and in different departments. One of my jobs was as a secretary in the Agriculture Department. You would think I would have been in heaven with all the boys around but they drove me crazy wanting copies of tests. Looking back on it I kind of think they wanted me to give them out. lol I think the problems we had made us stronger. Most kids these days don't know what it is to struggle.

Cheryl, glad you are making progress. It looks like your dad saved everything. Did you know what the coins were worth when you brought them in? I have some old coins from my dad I should sell. My son isn't interested in them and my sister's boys would just spend them.

Beth, hope you get your water leak fixed. I'm wondering what problem I will have this trip. It's always something. I better get my food loaded between showers so I can get on the road.

Taking a short break here for lunch.

Got my laundry going finally. I didn't have enough quarters for 3 loads but remembered they now have an app that you can use to pay for the machines. I had to delete some apps from my phone to have enough space available for that new app. Finally got that set up and got my washing started.

Went to the activities office and got signed up for the art fair and the yard sale. I am just going to put out a table of stuff for the yard sale that morning with a "everything free!" sign, and then go to work. Don't need to be there for that. Got everything squared away for the art fair. Just need to start making a bunch of my golf counters now that I have everything I need. Got what I ordered from Amazon yesterday. I think I have enough beads now to make about 2000 counters!

Things are getting busy around here now. Canadians are starting to arrive already and people are cleaning and fixing up their places/yards. etc. Everyone is happy to be back!

I got another golf putter from a lady here so that when Linda comes over, we can do the putting course and she will have a putter to use.

It is already over 90* today so will work on inside things for the day. I do want to get the cat trap back in it's container so I can return it to Home Depot later. I will need to tape some of the cardboard that was around it. It didn't come off very easily and it ripped a little.

I better go check my laundry...

Yes, Dad did save everything! Which has made it a bit interesting to day the least.

For the coins, the man said the silver dollars average about $1.50 in value, but it all depends on their condition. Once he confirmed that they were silver (no copper on the sides), he weighed all the silver then all the pennies separately for the sale value, like they do with gold.

back at my mom's house but no report on the test yet... tried calling them kids want a negative test before I come down... but most of my symptom's are gone.... will hope that the test is negative or unclear whatever... really tempting to go and have a rapid test ran tomorrow morning guess well see if I hear back from them.
it wasn't a good day with mom this morning... mom seemed somewhat out of it... came over to her chair to get her for breakfast and she said she needed to go to the bathroom... ok I even think I went and put the chair down and up for her not sure of that thought but then went to get behind her wheelchair...and she said my brother's name and my niece's name I need to go to the bathroom... told her I was just waiting for her to sit down.... so took her to the bathroom.... and she was muttering about starting PT again I told her Mom you need it in order for you to return to your home you need to get PT then tried to lighten the moment said that was what was called a scotch blessing!!!! and she said and I'm tired of it!!! I told her that we didn't mean to be nags which I am sure she is thinking we are.... then when I went to tell her I was leaving brother was also telling her he was taking me back to Jackson... she said but I thought it wasn't for another week I almost said it has been a week... but told her good bye and left her in tears... although she wouldn't give me a hug... hopefully she will be more open for the PT it's so hard as we know that she hurts... and I think it's human nature to not do something that makes you hurt which is a two way sword.... in she needs to move for many reasons but it makes her hurt so she avoids it then when she does move she hurts and a vicious circle... I think I am going to measure the doors see if her wheel chair will fit through them and realize that in all likely hood it will be what is...
have clothes in the washer and dryer need to go take care of them...
oh my brother went to leave he basically dropped me off went to the bathroom and went to the car came back in and started me... said what is going on he said the house next door is a meth lab about picked me up off the floor... wow what a shock that was... guess the hazmat team will go in a clean it up it was a long term rental... guess the guy kinda went to bottom of the bucket when his wife left him... but boy this is so surprising
so that is my itty bitty
you all have a good day
