Morning All, chilly 46°and sunny. Still have to pot those tulip bulbs..Have hesitated because not sure where to place the tulip pot because it needs cold and the balcony/cave faces south. Guess I could take the pot to my daughters garage but since my memory is 1/4” long I might forget it. Will place it in a corner getting morning sun and behind some kind of barrier and hope for the best. A stay at home day and putter. Be safe

It's 58 this morning and I went to feed the cats without a jacket. A little cool. I have a heated pet bed that I am going to put in the house I put for Mr P. I plugged it in to see if it still worked and Annie found it. I think she would like to have it.

I did absolutely nothing yesterday. At least I have a load of clothes in the washer. I put the shoes I wear to the barn in the washing. When I went to the dentist I noticed I forgot to change shoes and had on my dirty barn shoes.

They want to have soup for the campout potluck next week. Eat out Thursday, soup Friday and hotdogs on Saturday. I might make the potato soup to take. I don't like to cook in the camper so will probably make it and freeze it. I think there is a chance of rain next Thursday and Friday. Hope it isn't too cold.

I was doing great this morning UNTIL the power went off at about 9:20. Geez, I am going out to lunch with my neighbor as he is getting a fireplace insert installed this morning so wanted to go get something afterwards. I am always up for lunch ha ha So I just did a quick wash up, combed my hair, put a couple twists in it called it good in the dark . My batrooms dont get much light so I found out. So as soon as I finish the power came back on at 11:30 ish. Oh well, they projected 4:30 so I shant complain too much. We are going to lunch around 1 or 1:30 as they should be done with the insert by then. I am busy charging everything as it was all getting low. Ya know, just in case. They said it was due to wind, heck we dont even have a healthy breeze. Not sure what will happen when we have a big storm. I have flashlights and lanterns (batteries) if it happen when it is dark so no issues there. Also a couple of battery operated motion lights.

Martha I really like that potato soup, especially after I added some cheese to it. Yummy.

Was struggling today at work. A little pain in my shoulder but a lot of pain in my back, and also very tired since I stayed up too late last night watching a TV show. Also, the receptionist who makes the CBD balm was making a new batch today and, between the heat and humidity of the cooking process and the smell of peppermint and lavender, I was sweating and falling asleep! When I got home, I layed down and fell asleep and woke up around 8pm thinking it was morning and had overslept! :o

I am not getting much (ie; anything) done at home after work lately since I am so tired and sore. I hope that gets better. Maybe tomorrow's paycheck will make me feel better! I did get the litter box cleaned out tonight! Lola was complaining...

Gonna read for a bit and then get back to bed in an hour or two. Thank God tomorrow is Friday! My co-workers want me to go to the Pride Parade on Sunday in Palm Springs but it starts too early. It takes an hour for me to drive there, plus find a place to park hours before the parade starts. Besides, too much to do around here to catch up on cleaning, etc. Sounds like a great parade tho! My church isn't having their service until Sunday evening so they can all go to (and be in) the parade. It is a BIG deal out here!

Have a good night!

I was going to make that soup but didn't have the bacon so will have to get some when I get back from Utah.... will invite nephew and his family over to have some hopefully it will serve all of us... 4-6 people...
I would go for a heated bed as well Martha...
power outage and the culprit is a breeze oh my I think you need to be well prepared do you have a house generator Karen?
can you enclose your pot into something that would block the sun? trying to think of what it might be maybe poster board made into a cone but larger than pot so that it would allow air circulation?
we sprung mom today... the dr said that we meaning the hospital should have told her daily she was going home as she sure perked up with the news... today she surprised me and took herself via wheelchair to the bathroom and used the toilet... I guess she decided that she couldn't have someone to always be able to help her... and here she has attempted to walk the distance from her chair to the bath room quite a distance and has had to have the wheelchair brought to her but at least she is trying and even the therapists felt that using a combo of each was the best for right now ... and she will be starting with PT and home health hopefully home health tomorrow ... I am planing on going back to mom's house on Tuesday or Wednesday then the next day down to Utah...
I am wondering about night lights here I know the hall has some but not sure about either the bedroom or living room... she typically sleeps in the chair... but concerned about her needing to go to the bathroom...in the night time...
it was a quite trip over only took little over 2.5 hours and I only nodded off a couple of times...
I think I need to de-clutter her table since I am the one that put it all there  so there is a place for her morning meds she has to take some 1 hour before breakfast so typically put it out the night before...
you all have a great day

Barbie, I went to a Pride parade in New Orleans one time. I didn't go to New Orleans to see the parade, I just happened to be in the French Quarter when it happened. I wished I had a camera when the cowboy came by with only boots, chaps and a hat on. I wanted to show Harold. The outfits were something to see.
