Morning everyone. Seems like it was just Labor Day and end of next week will be Oct. Before we know it, the year will be over.

It’s a cloudy, 48 degree Morning here, with bit of light drizzle, but supposed to get sunny later on before more rain moves through tonight. I’m going to head over to my favorite Farm Market, try out some wood fired pizza, pick up some apples and cider and mosey back home. They are having a Harvest Festival Day tomorrow, and also having some kind of a Power to the People political rally tomorrow too. One of the candidates running for Governor is going to be the keynote speaker. Don’t want to be around with all those people there. I’ll go back again later when the fall colors are really popping.

Barbie, I would like to know what a Live Scan is too. Beth, so nice to see Carold. Haven’t met her but miss her posts. You have been having a wonderful time with your friend too. I with you in some hikes, I don’t like to do some anymore either depending on terrain. Was a day when I would go scampering over rocks, up and down slopes, but now I not quite as agile as I used to be, so watch others go over rocks etc. But give me a good trail and I’m off.

Sounds like everybody’s doing okay on here. Crazy phone issues, groundskeeping projects for a couple of you, hot weather still plaguing Annie. O’Sharon, think there will be more rain and chilly weather heading your way.

Otherwise same old around here. Got some leaves I am going to have to blow into the woods as no sign of my new bagger system yet. But too wet right now. Got my two new side tables together and really like them. New love seat cover is coming today, so hopefully will fit right and I can dispense with the old quilt I have been using so the dogs don’t get dirt and hair on it. Since I got new dog beds, Piper spends more time in hers. Molly doesn’t seem to bother with one as much, preferring the floor and guest bed instead. So they aren’t on the love seat as much lately.

Guess I will get dressed and be on my way. Takes a bit less than an hour to get over there. Have a nice day all.

Morning Sue, a cooler sunny day. It poured all day yesterday. I heard the plants scream “enough already” lol They are drooping in their pots and I have to figure a way to empty the saucers without dumping dirty water on my neighbor living below. A ride for some Winesap apples sounds like a nice trip, maybe tomorrow. Keeping an eye on Hurricane Sam churning in the Atlantic. A haircut later this afternoon. Now to tackle the flower pot saucers, maybe a turkey baster humm. Be safe

Beth, thanks for the post

Good morning, it is kind of chilly out this morning BUT it is going to be 92 this afternoon. Good grief. Then a slight cool down then possibly rain on Mon and Tuesday yippee. Getting out in the yard today while it is cool because it heats up quickly and then I am done. Have more inside housekeeping to do later today. I did get the Family room all spiffed up yesterday, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned the blinds and inside windows. THEN I tackled my TV issues LOL I only have 2 HDMI ports on my tv and needed to use 3. So I bought an HDMI switch that has 5 ports, you know, just in case. So far I am using 3. The 2 on the tv are my soundbar in the ARC HDMI and then the switch in the other, I am planning on getting rid of Spectrum next month. I have been comparing Youtube and HULU but think I will go with HULU as it has most of the channels I like to watch BUT Youtube lets you fast forward thru stuff you record and HULU doesnt BUT I already pay for HULU on demand and it is included in the price so it is a dilemma ha ha I am going to do the 7 day free trial on HULU starting this weekend just to make sure it is what I want, so will sign in for that a bit later today.

Live Scan fingerprinting is an ink-less electronic fingerprinting that scans your fingerprints directly into the computer.

Left a message this morning for one of the live scan places to get an appointment. That one is in Palm Desert on my way to work. If I don't hear from them, the other place is a UPS store in Desert Hot Springs in the north valley where the job is located. They take walk-ins but charge $10 more. Those are the only 2 places this woman told me to go to. She said they have the fastest turn-around time.

Was cloudy early this morning but has cleared up now. I just checked the forecast and it will stay below 100* all thru next week with Wednesday only 93* with a low of 66*! I can open the windows that night and air this place out (as long as there is a breeze)! Yay! On second thought, with all the dust all over around here yet, probably not a good time to open windows especially if it is windy :(

I would love to go to an apple farm area. The closest one here is Oak Glen which is a little over and hour from here. Maybe if I have to go to Desert Hot Springs tomorrow, which is about half way there, I might just head up there. Sounds like a fun day! We'll see...

Have a good day!

Good Morning All, I have reached a milestone in my life. Today I am 90 years old. Not really enjoying old age. Don’t drive much anymore. Val drives me. I did get my new drivers license. Renewed it on the computer. Didn’t think I could. Calif is so big and gov offices so screwed up they sent my drivers license through the mail.
Tomorrow is big surprise birthday party at my daughters. Quite accidental how I found out.

Happy Birthday Lyn. I think of you often and remember your stay here. Hope you had a great day and a fun party tomorrow. Do you still have that crazy loon we went to Mackinaw City for or has it bitten the dust?
