Morning All, sunny, hot and humid. Lol. Getting ready to do my favorite thing laundry. I do laundry often because this washer uses a teacup of water so I don’t wash many items at a time. I have lived here over two years and still do not know what the darn machine is doing. When my granddaughter bought my house she wanted to use her beautiful updated washer and dryer. Her mother grabbed my washer and it is stored in her garage for when her washer dies. I’m glad I don’t do manual labor or I would be using a tub and washboard.
I did bake a Nut, Raisin Oat bread which I have enjoyed, cut up a watermelon and finished a rotisserie chicken. Have an appointment for an oil change tomorrow and will take a ride after just to get out for awhile. Be safe

Hi Shirl and everyone!
Shirl, it's 89 degrees in Caroline County, just down the road from you. I washed our bed linens this morning and just finished the last load of clothes. Since we're leaving to head south day after tomorrow, we're getting the last chores done and out of the way. Tomorrow we'll get our last half bushel of steamed crabs for one last crab feast, and more crab cakes and crab imperial for going down the road. We're looking forward to getting to Webster and unpacking the boxes of things we decided to keep. I'm going to look for a glass curio cabinet for my bell collection.
The owners of the campground are meeting us this evening for a potluck and card games afterwards. I have a feeling we'll be living in our little bubble with our vaccinated friends for another winter.
Enjoy your day, friends.

I read most days and cheer you all on from a distance. Hope all of you stay safe from fires and floods and heat waves. I know that I didn't even follow the rule to check in on the first. I am not a good follower.
My days are spent between being busy and then reading and napping to rest up from being busy. My stamina does not run deep especially in the heat. Lark and Audrey have been earning their Novice Obedience Titles and last week the both completed their Rally Advanced titles. I have driven the RoadTrek out to several dog shows in the past two months but mostly within a 2-4 hour drive. Tomorrow Jane and I head out to Madison, Ohio, up on the Lake Erie for a four day show. I do not know if I will be able to make it all four days. Two day shows have been hard enough but we will try. Of course the rig decided not to start on Monday. It had been very reliable as long as I remembered to open and shut the drivers door after I shut off the engine. (Apparently that is a RT thing.) I think it was a loose wire on the battery disconnect. Recharged yesterday and started up fine this morning. Jane and I will find out. One of my favorite things about the RT is how easy it is to park and drive through drive throughs, whether at the bank or for food. Inside the dogs and I gave up a lot of space but then I am not planning to live full time in it, and we have enough room to get done what need to get done. I haven't actually tried camping in it yet but some day that will happen. Parking in friends or family driveways doesn't count as camping but then neither does just an over night passing through or pulling out in the mornings to dog shows venues that don't allow camping on site, count.
My nose has healed up well following some Mohs surgery earlier in the month. I have enough freckles, spots and wrinkles already, no one will even notice. My body has also been arguing with some new medications that the doctor had me trying and I gave the win to my body. I had enough nausea and cramping this winter and was not going back there. We are now trying other meds. At least this neurologist is listening and willing to try walk through different options and not just add a note regarding noncompliance and show me the door.
Sharon and I have plans to meet at a halfway point off I-75 for lunch next week. We needed to get it in before the end of summer and she and Ted headed back to the SW. No promise of a picture because we all understand that getting together sometimes distracts us......
Until next month!

Tina, it's good hearing from you! After everything you've been through the last year or so, it's a joy seeing you post. Have fun at the dog show!

Good morning. Not much new here. I was going to go out and start painting as I got my new sprayer yesterday. BUT I opened the screen door for some fresh air and was hit with a very strong smell of smoke. Out the back deck is very hazy in the hills but it is more the smell than the sight of the air. Hopefully the winds will change today like they have been. So no hurry to get out in that nasty smell.
Was 50 this morning but the high will be 82 so they say. I am liking these temps. Making a taco salad for dinner tonight. Easy. Nothing much else to report yet. Kind of boring.

Karen, I had to laugh. I just finished my dinner of taco salad. Last week you said you were having salmon patties and I thought a great idea so I did too. All great minds travel the same path, at least when it concerns food. What are you having tomorrow

Hi Tina, I saw your picture on Facebook. Glad you are getting out to the dog shows. Ever so often I look at RoadTreks thinking how easy one would be to drive. Of course, I don't know what I would do with all the crap I travel with. I have all new tires so think I will be good for 5 years. By then I will be 82 and probably won't be in any condition to travel.
Shirl, Nut, Raisin Oat Bread sounds good. I like bread with some texture but I seldom make any because I would eat it all with butter the first day. I went to Walmart and ordered a pizza to go in town. Like my fat a$$ needs a pizza.
I mowed part of the yard last night and should have mowed the rest before I went to town. It's getting dark and thundering so will probably rain. Sugar likes to be outside when it rains so she wanted on the porch when it started thundering.

Thanks, Martha, now I want a pizza, too. Lol I haven't had pizza since way before coming here.
I've done nothing today other than making sure Ty and I get some walks. I'm amazed at how far you've come, Tina. I'm impressed. And I'm glad this neurologist is listening and trying different options. I bought a "Mockins" on someone's recommendation. It's a Himalayan salt inhaler. Today is day 4 using it 3 times a day and I think it's helping my breathing/asthma, but it'll take more time to tell. It reminds me of what I had to breathe with at the clinic I went to in Arizona a few years back when I had an asthma attack. So maybe there's something to this.
Irmi, it seems like just a few days ago you were headed north. How quickly you've gotten everything done and I can't wait until you get south and make that casita everything you want it to be.

Beth, I have a salt inhaler, but haven't used it in a while. Since quitting all grains, my asthma has greatly calmed down.
No pizza for me, I have yet to find a good grain free crust and I can't eat cauliflower ( often mixed with flour when you orderit)'which my gut tolerates. So, pizza is off my meal plan? I didn't even tolerate the tomato product init anymore! But I'm happy with a steak or ground beef or my pork belly bites.

Velda,I have a recipe that calls for using boneless chicken breasts as the base for a pizza instead of bread type crusts. First time I tried it, I liked it. Need to do it again. You cook up the breasts after pounding them a little flat, lay them in a casserole dish or pan and put pizza sauce, cheese and your favorite toppings on and put it in the oven. It’s actually a low carb recipe. I will be glad to post the recipe.

I think I will make my own pizza tomorrow. I have all the fixins. I buy small pizza crusts, brown them in the over for a few minutes, add my pizza sauce (I buy it in the squeezable bottle), Mozarella, mushrooms, onions, some sausage and pepperoni. Pop it in the oven for a while and BAM....homemade pizza. Very good.
