Mornin' ladies~~~
It's National Sewing Machine Day for all you crafty ladies. I had a post started for yesterday's MC, but the PT came and my login time out, so poof!
Dad's ortho followup was yesterday. The fractures are healing well. Can barely see one, and the other looks good, but some more bone growth is needed. He can do more weight bearing and has been shown how to use the walker with more weight. It's more of a regular stride instead of half steps and having your feet meet. He's a speed demon now lol.
I'm bored to tears almost. My days are consisting of wake up, make him breakfast, do the dishes, do exercises with him, let the therapist in and take notes on exercise changes, make lunch, afternoon exercises, maybe an hour free time, make dinner, do dishes, and I can finally sit outside, but with 90°+ temps this week, I'm not doing that either.
Been spending the last 4 nights in the house because of storms. There's a tendency for water to come in one of the back doors because the sidewalk has sunk, so the wet vac is at the ready. Hopefully Punkin and I can sleep in the camper again tonight. I miss my A/C!!!
So, pretty much, typical days of a care giver for those that have been thru this scenario before.
Right now I'm still thinking I'll be here indefinately. Dad has another ortho followup September 22nd and a follow up with his GP the next day. Per the hospital, his GP will determine if he can drive or not. I have an appointment on October 18th to get the TT winterized and then put immediately into inside storage.
Irmi how nice that your piano is at your church. It needs a brass plaque to acknowledge the donation and your hours playing wonderful music for services.
That's it from the Chitown burbs. Nothing even an itty bit exciting. Have a good day ladies.
