TUESDAY AND BACK TO WORK I MUST GO!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TUESDAY AND BACK TO WORK I MUST GO!

Postby Nasoosie » Tue Apr 14, 2009 4:04 am

GOOD EARLY MORNING ALL!!!

When my alarm went off, I couldn't remember where I was, or how far I had to drive today! We got up early on the trips down and back, to make good use of daylight and lighter traffic. (This didn't work on the way back, however, as the traffic through that eastern corridor from Williamsburgh to my bro's in Paoli, PA was bumper-to-bumper, and sometimes stopped with people apparently taking a half day off from work for the Holiday weekend!) My son set my cell phone alarm to LOUDEST, and CAN-CAN music to get up by! If you've never gotten up doing the can-can, you don't know what you've missed!

18 degrees here this morning, so my driveway will still be frozen mud. I heard it's go up to 50 or so today, however, so have another full-time mud season to go through yet. I guess it was frozen most of the time when I was gone, so had no time to settle down to summer-time regular dirt. Most of the snow piles have melted way down, although, in the shaded, southern parts of the yard, we still have over a foot on the ground. The southern side of the road is also banked with deep snow from the plows.

I've made some Hazlenut coffee to get my eyes open, and would love to share it with all those who would like a cup. I did a weigh-in last night, thinking that after all those lobsters, (total of 16 in two sessions at the Boston Lobster Feast!!) I would be way heavier than when I left. However, I am actually 2 pounds lighter! Now, if I could only afford to go on a lobsters-only diet up here!!!

Twitch, my 21-year-old cat is none the worse for wear after spending two weeks at the vet's kennel-----in factm, I do believe he seems a bit less senile and stiff with arthritis. As far as I know, they didn't treat him for anything. They did cut his long toenails, however.

My cold, the first one in many years, has settled into my chest this morning from my sinuses, and I am coughing like a TB patient. Sure hope I get over this in a hurry. Makes for bad sleeping when I lie down.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday and let us know what's going on in your neck of the woods. Back to the old grind here!

(Sorry for copying and pasting my early morning message from the other forum----if I don't do that, I won't ever stay caught up and will have to eliminate one or the other of the groups. Those of you who are members of the other forum can just ignore my first post on here! I DO modify it slightly, sometimes, to fit the group and the members.)

Good morning Soosie!

Gotta admit I do the same thing here too,.... cut and paste usually. And some changes to fit the group. I don't think anybody will mind because we only have a few members the same in both forums. The other forum Soos and i talk about is http://www.openroadssingles.com/,.... (NOT a dating site, just a group of friends!). That will take you to the home page and you can go from there. Beth is also the moderator at ORS! And a FINE job she does!

So back to our scheduled broadcast,.... :D

I'm relaxing with an easy morning,...having banana and toast, and will have coffee in just a few minutes. The sun is shining, and all is well with the world,.... at least my world! I did get a little yard work done yesterday afternoon, and I'll do more of that today. Then I will be able to hitch the Chalet and pull it over near the house and begin getting it ready for the season. I'll wash the inerior and the exterior. Also wax the exterior. First trip is May 8th. I'll be camping with some a-frame buddies in Newburgh, NY. (my third camping forum!)

Hope you all have a great day, I'm planning on it!

good morning, Soos its good to see you back, but too bad you caught a cold, I know
how you feel, cause I caught one too over Easter weekend. Called in sick again today.
Medicine isn't really helping other than making me sleepy, so I sleep a couple hours
and then I'm up a couple hours. It will do its course and then I'll be fine in a couple
weeks. Have a good day ladies.

Welcome back Soos. Have missed you. Did you loose Liz somewhere on your trip? Haven't seen a post by her lately. Hope you and Ava shake those nasty colds quickly.
We finally have a few days of good weather in the forecast starting today. Really looking forward to that.
I've got to get more serious about cleaning up after last weeks company. Dread all that washing. Took yesterday off and accomplished nothing.
There is another pot of coffee brewing and a bowl of fruit for snacking.
Have a safe day.

Hi everyone!

I'm back home too, and all grandchildren have gone back to their homes, whew!

Soos, when I first moved to FL, I thought I had a cold the whole first year...turned out to be allergies I never knew I had, or didn't have as a kid in VT/NH. With all the pollen in FL right now, I wonder if that isn't part of what you're suffering. Whatever it is, I hope you feel better soon. I think it must have been all that swimming in the pool you did that contributed to your weight loss...not the lobster diet, although I wish.

Now I'm off to catch up a little bit here....you've all been busy!
