I'm sorry you're sick. I'll put the pot on. I'll also start a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup for you. French omlets for everyone else. And I've learned breakfast sweets are popular around here - so, hmmmm, let's see - how about some biscotti crumbled up in a small container of yogurt? (it's actually really good - tasty and crunchy. I occasionally serve that for breakfast here at The Blue Marlin when we have guests!)

Ava, I hope you're already on the Road to Recovery...

Good Morning All!! Yes, sweets are always good around here! Mitch, I'll post recipe for sausage balls in Recipes section soon. I've been up for several hours boxing up books and other things that we need to not hang on to any longer. I wonder now why it was so important for me to keep so many things for so many years. My needs and wants have changed so.

Ava, hope your illness passes soon. It's not ever fun to be sick. Michelle, I've heard of biscotti (on here); owever, have never tasted. Sounds good though.

We've got severe weather predicted again for today, as I'm sure others do. Hope it is not disastrous like last week.

I hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!!

Oh Ava, sorry that you are under the weather. I sure hope that you are feeling better soon. Hang in there!

And Mitch, that biscotti crumbled into yogurt sounds good. I'll try that. i'm a big yogurt fan.

Becky, I'm also looking at a houseful of "stuff" and wondering..... WHY? I am now planning on working for another year or two so I will have time to slowly get rid of a lot of this accumulation from over the years. Ebay, anyone? Or maybe I'll just get it organized into what's to go and call the local auction house and sell it in bulk... a lot less fuss than ebay.

I hope you all have a good day,... sun is shining here even though it's still chilly. Supposed to warm up tomorrow so I'll rake then.

Cedar,
I'm having great luck selling on Craigslists, plus there is no fee for using it. Had never used it until several weeks ago, and really getting rid of things plus making more money than you would at a yard sale. Yard sale will happen also. I've already had two emails this a.m in response to new items. With Ebay there is a fee of some type. If you have a lot of historical items, then Ebay may be the way to go.

So sorry you don't feel well Ava ! Take care of yourself.
It's a rainy day here in Iowa and only about 40 degrees so not very pleasant outside - good day for a nap :D
To those of you that are downsizing - please remember to donate old towels and sheets to your local animal shelter - call them or check their web page to see if they have a "want" list - I donated all my extra towels and sheets and plastic ware to "my" shelter - I also donated my large carpet cleaner to them. Check it out, you can get a receipt and take a tax deduction too. They always need "stuff" and I know many of us are animal lovers.
I hope you all enjoy your day - be safe

Yes, ebay has a fee system. i don't know much about Craig'slist, but I do know I don't want phone calls coming in or people coming to my home. I think the local auction house is the way for me... I did that after my mom passed away and it worked well. I'd better get busy as we're headed into the auction season and with the economic situation in this country right now people may be looking at auctions rather than shopping for new items. OK,..going to get off computer and get to work!

GOOD AFTERNOON. ALL!

I'm BAAAACCCKKKK!!!!! It's about 1:30, and so far today I have done these things: Unpacked my bags, done a load of laundry, paid bills, mailed income taxes, picked up my ancient cat, Twitch, at vet's (YES---he survived, much to my amazement!), had Molly's itchies looked at---she probably got southern itch while on vacation, paid vet (shudder), put in another load of laundry, made coffee, took some coricidin for my 'southern-type' cold.....first cold I've had since I can remember, and will now try to get caught up on my email and forums messages. I was exhausted last night, took a long hot bath, and went directly to bed after checking into a chatroom for about a half hour.

Storms are nasty in the south...sure hope all are safe, although I can't imagine being back there in those tornado warning areas. Although it's only 38 here in the sun today, with a horrid wind-chill wind, I feel relieved to be here out of tornado threats.

Cedar has her spring break now, and I will be back at school tomorrow----very happy to have this extra unused snow day to recoup and get chores done before getting back to the old grind.

I hope you all had a pleasant holiday weekend, doing something fun. I'll be back on schedule tomorrow morning, I presume, at about 5:00 am on here.

Sorry you are not feeling well, Ava. Get well soon!

I'm up for some leftover McDonald's chicken selects I bought yesterday, and some of the coffee....then will finish laundry and rest up for work tomorrow!

Sigh of relief from me and Molly!

Cedar, You don't have to put a phone number on Craig's list - and they will mask your email address - so any emails come through them. I just sold - sigh, ugh, ugh, my scooter without really trying. I snuck a couple line for sale on the Port Aransas Craig's list - and forgot about it. Then, after on the road, got an email from someone in Chicago interested. They are paying to ship it to Chicago - from Albuquerque - so I just have to get it to the shippers on Thursday. I'm gonna be in tears - Sparkle will probably be laughing at me and taking pics of me saying bye to my scoot. Ahhhh.....

Ava, sure hope this passes quickly and you're feeling better!

Ava, when typing about soup earlier, got me itchin' to make some. So, here's some homemade chicken noodle soup for you, fresh off the stove (noodles aren't homemade; just didn't feel like that today). But there's celery and carrots and onion and corn and cabbage and cheese and chicken breast meat...

I just can't figure out how to get it to you while it's still hot!!
Hope you're feeling better!

Oh, I'd love a bowl of that soup, especially after my dental work I had done last night. Soup is almost as good as a hug from Mom and I'm feeling like I need a hug.
