Thursday May 27

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday May 27

Morning All, bright sunny morning. I went for groceries yesterday and came home feeling sick. I didn’t realize how humid it was, it sneaks up on you. After drinking plenty of water and relaxing in the air conditioning felt better. I guess summer has arrived in Maryland. The Blue Angels were flying in Annapolis yesterday for Commission Week. I could hear them across the bay but couldn’t see them. I have watched them in the past and they are amazing. Going to put the flag on the balcony and spend the weekend home. Irma, son called and ask if I was ready for soft
crabs, it’s that time of year. :D Have a save holiday.

Shirl, I would sure like some boiled crabs. I wish I was brave enough to go to the beach with my friends. That's where I use to take the kids crabbing. I need to bring a flag and put it on my son's grave.

I am still waiting on the bank for the paperwork I need. I had to go to the lawyer's office and pick up a judgment of possession. I don't know why he hadn't sent that to me anyway. Brought that to the bank and waiting to hear from them. My insurance agent is beyond pissed at the bank. Hey, it's Prudential that wants all this anyway. I was happy to see that the horse trailer was listed on there. I thought I had forgotten to list it. Maybe next week I'll go see if I can get the title changed. I'm not sure if the DMV is open yet or not. In some towns you have to have an appointment.

I went fishing yesterday and the fish were really bitting. I caught a crab, bass, white perch, regular perch, blue catfish, mud catfish and some kind of silver fish I had never seen before. The fish were really entertaining me. I should have looked at the portable sinks when I was at Academy last week so I could clean fish.

Annie is finally acting like her old self. It has taken 10 days for her to stop pulling out her fur and hiding in the window behind a shade. I have been feeding her canned food and it looks like she might have put on a little weight. I noticed that some of the small cans of cat food list milk as an ingredient. I thought milk gave grown cats diarrhea.

I got a message from AT &T that they are shutting down their 3G network in February, 2022 and my phone will not work. I'll get a new phone if I have to but it won't be from AT & T.

Good Morning!

It's load it up day - picking up U-Haul van in a hour. May get rained on. Monica says she has gathered all my stuff in their house and put pink post notes on my stuff in their shed. Think they'll be glad to have their space back. :) Being a holiday weekend in a tourist town, I'll get moved in tomorrow and then won't go back until Monday for furniture delivery.

Barbie, glad you have another option! Just had a discussion yesterday about bad co-workers. Martha, why does settling have tan estate have to be so hard? This is a community property state so I didn't have to go through all that. My mother had worked for a lawyer so he handled all that when she died. Shirl, love seeing the Blue Angels. Used to see them in Seattle during Seafair week.

I played hooky yesterday from the moving mess. It was a beautiful day - no rain, no wind, no clouds for a change. Neighbor mentioned he'd like a ride so we made a day out of it. Rivers, lakes, mountains - doesn't get much better.

Have a great day!

Way back in the mid-80s, I worked in the admin building of a big factory that was located on a large airport. (The plant built B-24 bombers in WWII. It built transmissions then, but the whole far end of the building was huge hanger doors they used to pull planes out.) When there was an airshow, it always used that airport because it was so large, and nearly always the groups like the Blue Angels came a couple of days early to practice. It was really neat to have them roar over the plant and our admin building at a very low level! Also, once was headed to my car in the parking lot and the Goodyear Blimp came over the factory and my parking lot, barely skimming the roof! I could see the pilot's face, it was so close. Really neat.

I've been borrowing my DILs car this week, and since they are leaving for the weekend, and I am staying until Sunday, I am keeping it until then. Safer than riding my bike in traffic, I decided. So, it is nice to have a car to run errands--got haircut scheduled this afternoon.

Only three more weeks of teaching!! :D

Judy, when I was about 11, I lived in the hills above what eventually became Silicon Valley. My uncle worked at Lockheed and one year when I was about 11, Lockheed gave tickets to employees and their families to ride in the Goodyear Blimp. My uncle, my cousin and I got to ride in the blimp for about an hour. I’ll never forget that experience,

Hill Air Force Base isn't to terribly far from Salt Lake City... one year we took the kids to an air show believe it was the Blue Angles a good show unfortunately there was an accident so now when I think of that show I picture the lost plane formation not sure that is what it was called but ... it as well was touching
got my 2nd shot today so far not had any reactions also got my frig defrosted ... when the new cooler was put in I was told that I wouldn't have to defrost the frig part freezer yes but since the freezer has been shut and not opened (my sil gimmy rigged it so it wouldn't open and I was afraid to undo it so didn't today he had to undo it ) so figure that is why it started frosting up in the frig ... now it's ice free and cooling down will put stuff away tomorrow... all that was in the freezer I just tossed..
need to turn the heat on but today was a pretty day... blue skies sweatshirt warm
one of my granddaughter's graduates tomorrow... hopefully the weather will be so that we can go to the stadium and see it
according to the weather app it's suppose to be rain free but also very windy guess we will see what they decide to do...
you all have a good day
just remembered I forgot to do drops tonight thought of it once didn't at that time now it's to late I think it would be close to when I will put them in at bed time... not sure what to do

Anita, will furniture be delivered on the holiday? Whenever it's delivered I'm sure you're ready to be moved in!

I've always loved air shows. But I'm not so into the crowds anymore.

Tomorrow will be a super busy day. The new girl is scheduled to work also. First time we're both scheduled. I'm hoping she'll be willing to try my way I suggest we work together. If not, we'll simply divide up rooms. But my method would make our lives easier. Then it looks like I'll be off Saturday, then super busy Sunday and Monday, one of which days the new girl will work with me again. The other day the managers will have to help. I haven't looked further but am betting things will slow down after that again.

I best get to bed. Sweet dreams all.
