Cloudy on Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cloudy on Sunday

Well, Good Aftrrnoon everyone. Since nobody posted, I start the day off. Big news here in Michigan is that with the CDC saying that we no longer need to wear a facemasks, I Gov. has dropped the face mask wearing for everyone who is vaccinated both indoors and out. Course there is no way to prove who has been vaccinated and who hasn’t. Everybody is so happy. However. Medical clinics and medical facilities I still requiring them. Government orders and protocols they’re not apply to them. That is understandable because they don’t wanna take a risk of Covid being spread in a hospital or something like that. The restaurants here are kind of still under the wear a face mask when you are in the restaurant thing but they are not saying anything if people come in without them. I was out for breakfast this morning and I noticed that most people coming in are still wearing a mask. The big box stores would still like people to wear them. So it’s a mixed bag depending on where you go. My thing is, that if the employees are wearing masks than I do too. Out of respect for those who are working there. My church has now stopped it all together and people were so happy this morning you could just feel the electric in the air. We are going back to full capacity church as Of Memorial Day weekend. We are no longer social distancing either.

This has been a very interesting week for me and a bit on the busy side as well. I found an RV service tech who lives about 3 miles from here and he is going to go over my trailer this coming week with a fine tooth comb. By the time he’s done that things should be checked out from top to bottom inside and out. And anything that needs to be fixed or something he will do it. I haven’t had any issues with anything but you just never know. Earlier this week I was humbled by our property owners association donating $300 for me to put toward a new bagger system for my tractor and the gas that I used to mow the grass at our subdivision entrance. They told me that I was such a hard worker, I’m doing a great job and I’m dependable. And I also received back $400 that I had paid to have a large four by eight wood burned wall mural for my old house that had faded out and shouldn’t have. I have told the people who did it about it but they have not been able to get over here to look it over before I moved from my other house five years ago. I left it over at the other house and out of the clear blue sky they showed up on Tuesday and said that they would like to give me my money back and if I had the mural, They would like to take it with them. So I had my neighbors who bought my house bring it up from the basement and the people who get it are going to go over and see if they can repair it and maybe even find another buyer for it. I have no room here in this house for it. But it was quite a surprise. I had forgotten all about it. They have been having a lot of problems and health issues and stuff like that etc. but apparently they never forgot it.

Sounds like you all are doing OK. Sheila is busy with family as usual, Anita getting ready to get into her new apartment hopefully. Shirl is busy spending money  Barbie is back to work and yes that is crazy with those pyromaniacs thinking that they can have them so some amusement while everything burned out around them. It is very dry here too and the fire danger here is very high. Don’t remember what all else is going on but I don’t think I forgot about the rest of you. I’m always thinking about you.

Right now I am going to close this off as I have a couple of other things to check on and I have a memorial service to go to this afternoon. Unfortunately we have lost our sunshine. It has been warm here but just comfortable. High is mostly in the 60s and a mix of sun and clouds. Perfect weather for working outdoors.

Morning Sue and all who check in. Beautiful day here today so will take advantage of it by fertilizing my plants. Tomatoes and squash are doing well. I dont think my geraniums are getting enough sun so might have to move them, they are in big pots. The sun was shining in a couple of my windows, dang I have some serious dust LOL so will get that done. Need to clean my robot vacuum so she can do her job today also. Also have a valance to put up in my family room so might do that today also, wont take long. I have laundry in and after that nothing too much scheduled.

Sue sounds like you found a good RV place AND had a windfall come your way this week. Doesn't get much better than that.

Bought a bench for my bedroom last week, put it together yesterday and it looks great. Since my bed is rather high this works perfect for me to put my shoes on so much better than going in the living room. It is a little longer than I thought but it is behind my door anyway and it is just what I needed.

I got back from my campout this afternoon. We had beautiful weather this weekend but when I got South of Abbeville the wind was trying to blow me off the road. I'm glad I didn't have to fight the wind all the way home. There ended up being 75 women so there was a lot going on. There were two sessions of a walking food tour of the town of Breaux Bridge. I didn't do that because I have eaten at a few of the restaurants already. Thursday night I went to the restaurant with about 40 of the women. I knew better than to go but went anyway. Took forever to get our food and then get the bills straight. The campground is built around 3 big ponds so a friend and I fished until we ran out of worms. I have a rod and reel rack in my camper but need to get better equipment. One of the reels was hard to use.

Yesterday afternoon I started sneezing and my nose started running. I have taken sinus and allergy medicine and nothing has slowed my nose down yet. Leave it to me to get sick camping.

Finished my taxes. I had not paid estimated for 2020 as I knew my income was way down (no big refund from Navy and no required IRA $). So I skipped estimated. Turns out I was right. I owe nothing and get nothing back. Win!
All good here, with slightly cooler weather in 80's today. Made skillet carnitas from ground pork last night, and they were very good. Son ate 7 tacos, after sayinghe doesn't like pork!
Between Curves and PT I'll stay busy this week.have a good week everyone.

Taxes are done not cause I figured them out but cause my dd took pity on me and did them with Turbo I tried one of the sites that someone uses here but ran into a problem that I couldn't figure out .... I get a retirement check but two forms from the U of U one cause I actually worked for the schools long enough to retire and for my husbands beneficiary couldn't figure out were to put them .... at least it is done and filed and will get back a few which is always nice
so it was a typical Sunday finally got to see the grandson looking good!!! tried to do my taxes which is something I wouldn't normally do but .... and took a nap as well as my other normal Sunday activities....

Been kind of a lazy day...

My shoulder/arm feel better today but I noticed there is a lot of cracking noises when I move my arm certain ways. :o

I got the second product delivered today that I ordered to finish my gourd project, and worked on that this afternoon. It isn't perfect but I think it will look OK once it is all finished. Certainly learned a lot from this one! A little more work on it tomorrow after todays work dries and then seal it and be done.

Extremely windy today! Much cooler out so I could leave the slider open all day, but too windy to actually be outside. Lola likes to sit out on the porch but she came back in because of the wind blowing thru. The power went out for a bit this afternoon too.

The stray cats must all be mad at me or afraid of me now. Not much food is missing from the dish on the deck the past couple nights. :(

Time for bed...have a good night! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
