Lazy Wednesday!

Almost forgot what day this was because no one has posted.

Sandi, I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder about a year ago, but it did nothing for the pain. Maybe I need another one from a doctor with better aim?? I know when I had shots in my hands for carpal tunnel and trigger finger, they worked great.

Went to nearby small hospital yesterday and got my blood work done. They also took blood for an antigen test, but the reports on all of this might take over a week because they have to go to doctor and then he has to put them on portal. I did ask his research nurse to please put them on the portal as soon as they came in, and she said she would.

Now that I am back in warmer weather, I have started having moth problems again. I suspect they are getting in through the badly fitting screens on a couple of windows. They drive me crazy because they wait until I am in bed and almost asleep before coming out and flitting about, so then I have to get up and start chasing them with my electric wand zapper. I usually get only one or two per evening, but that is enough to keep me up for an hour or so.

Got my shot this morning. Well, it hurt like hell! Initially going in wasn't bad but once he got the needle way in there the pain was intense! Luckily, it didn't take long. He started telling me about exercising it, when I started getting really dizzy and had to lay down for a bit. Waited until I felt better before leaving. I still haven't received the OK for PT from my insurance company. He said I need to start stretching it out tonight and keep doing that every day.

Got home and took a long nap. My arm is sore so I am icing it. I also have a headache now so I think I will take some ibuprofin for both. Hoping this will all be better tomorrow. I read that you can get a "cortisone flare" that causes pain for a day or two afterward.

There is our community dinner tonight but I declined because I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel today. Also because the place they picked is very expensive and I didn't see anything on the menu that I liked. I am gonna be short on money for a bit since I am not getting paid for this week from work, so I can't be out wasting money for a while, especially at expensive restaurants. Seems to me, I passed on this place 2 years ago when they went then.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day. :D

everyone must be busy
went in for my check up after the surgery today according to the dr doing well one of the tests they do is to check the pressure normally between 10 and 20 mine was 15 so that was good and one they did was using a light guess to see better... in the left eye it just was a light .. the right eye so annoying so bright wanted to shy away from it. when I was talking to my mom I realized that lately when I have been out that the vision hasn't been good put it up to a combo lens scratched and poor prescription.... today although I wasn't driving I could see quite clearly so all is going to be good...
didn't do much my dd took me and when I came home turned on hot water heater and proceeded to read scriptures then was going to do dishes sure we say.... took a nap then dishes sure that happened  I just now turned the hot water heater off will do the dishes tomorrow and water some of my plants they need it
was given a bag yesterday with some tape in it to tape this shield over my eye thought I'd left it in the car went and looked but didn't see it haven't seen it here it's late or I would text granddaughter see if she did something with it...
hopefully Barbie that your shoulder will feel better soon
