Beautiful flower Sandi!
Today is a year when Mel's birthday falls on Mother's Day. We are wishing him a Happy Heavenly Birthday, and thinking of 17 year old Mickie, who 78 years ago today became a mother for the first time, giving birth to her handsome son, Melvin DeWayne. Happy Birthday to Mom-Mickie, my Mom, and all the Mother figures in my life.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you as well. 41 years ago, I eagerly awaited the birth of my first son, born just 5 days later! And two years later, not wanting to miss the party, my second son arrived 2 weeks before predicted, 6 days before Mother''s Day!
Mother's Day is much quieter these days, but I have such good memories of May for most of the past 41 years.

Happy Mother's Day!
Sandi, your artwork is just so beautiful and to have picked it up so quickly is amazing.
My daughter is now a mother-in-love (law). We went to Western Washington Friday for an overnight and we were so happy to come back to this beautiful area!
Kyle and Alea were married outdoors at the courthouse Friday afternoon with just parents present. They all went to dinner and then came to get me so I could see them, their apartment and meet their very wild puppy! Her ex got his drama out of the way ahead of time when he found out she's engaged so all went well. We got into a little snow on one of the mountain passes.
I bought furniture Wednesday and the sales girl did fine until she rang it up in a very strange, complicated manner. She made mistakes, didn't return my call so I just sent an long e-mail of displeasure to the store so someone can get on it tomorrow morning. I should have quit before I got so tired. Life goes on.

Good morning. So far today I am "Multi Slacking". But that had to come to an end this morning as I have laundry and packing to do. Little housekeeping as I like to come home to a clean house. Leaving for Medford tomorrow morning but will be home on Friday.
Got my potato bags from Amazon last week and today my seed potatoes came. Excited to try this ha ha I wont plant them until I get back because you dont put too much soil in them to start with so think they might dry out too much before I get home. Have lots of soil already, so anxious to see how this works ha ha So far everything I have planted is doing great in my large plant posts. I have 6 tomatoes in large pots and they are looking good. I will fertilize them and also all the geraniums, begonias and petunias on my back deck. Not supposed to be super hot this week so think they will be fine. I ordered my drip system supplies but of course wont be here until I get back. Then I can hook up the drip system and just have to turn on the water or use the timer I bought. I do miss my underground sprinkler system tho I must say.
Sandi I love looking at your pictures you are very talented.
Hope everyone is enjoying this Mothers day.

Very pretty flower, Sandi!
Not feeling too motivated today. I tied my left upper arm to my side with a scarf to keep from moving it the wrong way! Not pretty but it seems to be working, at least to remind me not to reach for something.
Might head to WM for a hair wash and a few food items soon.
Have a good day!

I got home about 1:00, put gas in the mower and started mowing. I wanted to get it done ahead of the rain but don't think the rain will get here until tonight. It was cloudy so wasn't taking any chances. We had a great campout with 24 women. Every thing was set up at one campsite, food, fire and drinks. I don't have much to unload since I'm going again on Thursday. It will be great to camp without my sister. She insists on eating things that she knows will make her sick. Then she is up and down all night going to the bathroom. She wakes me up when she gets up so I don't get any sleep. I'm going to quit telling her when I'm going anywhere.
Beautiful picture Sandi.
My catnip is coming up but not the bulbs yet. I'm not much of a gardener. When it rains I'll catch some rain for the pots. They do so much better with rain water.

Karen have you researched what plants deer don't like just in case there are deer there like you have been told perhaps put them about in your garden area... Marygolds might be one of them but been a long time since I've looked
got up and went to church on the computer then my brother came and he and his wife took mom and me out to lunch came home visited a bit then late evening one of my nephews brought his family over... my brother is coming tomorrow to get mom and my dd is coming to get me.. few things I need to do tomorrow before I leave like take out garbage and start dish washer
she mentioned going to the post office and making the table a bit smaller...
after I said that it took a couple of drops to get the drop in the eye it took 5 or 6 that evening better not run out
I brought over yarn to work on my afghan would you believe 3 skeins of one color none of the other good thing I am going home tomorrow
need to go plug in the phone and join mom
you all have a good night
oh Sandi loving your paintings keep it up

Sheila, yes I have but apparently it just means they dont eat them. I have my tomatoes over by my deck in pots, am also putting in a 4ft high chain link fence. Now I know that isnt an 8ft fence but it just might deter them enough. I am going to plant my Marigolds around after I get my fence installed so we shall see. Only have 2 zucchini plants in the garden area so as not to impede the fence installer.

Karen , ths article was interesting, but what caught my eye was the idea of tying colorful streamers to top of fence to alert them it's there. Wonder if shiny Mylar streamers, long enough to flutter might startle them away, at least for a while?

I have also heard good results with using human hair around your garden to keep deer and rabbits away. You can get some from your local beauty salon.
