Shirl must be out watching Target convert KMart!!! Coffee is ready and you can make yourself some toast, or not.
We are all thinking about you Tina and wishing you well..

My landline did get fixed and the reason I keep it is my security system is tied in to the phone line for monitoring. The system is 31 years old and I’m reluctant to change it to cellular.

Pat, sorry to hear about Missy’s dog. One more grief she doesn’t need.

I’m making pinwheel cookies using some of the figs I dried last fall for the filling. First time, so we’ll see.... Enjoy today and keep smiling under your mask. Peggy

Morning All, today is #1 granddaughter’s birthday so lots of texting and talking going on. First grand and what a happy day that was. Nothing on the agenda for today, AGAIN. Peggy, what a great idea. I can sit in the Target parking lot in the safety of my car and watch the renovations. Watch them carry in boxes of ladies underwear, kitchen curtains, beautiful towels, oh boy. Think I will fix French toast for brunch. Be safe

A beautiful sunny morning here in Texas. Winter coat weather tho. Sitting outside and the sun is nice and warm. Thinking about another cup of Joe, but to lazy to go make it. Been thinking about my sister alot. She would have been 66 on Christmas day.

Moving day tomorrow, so just a bit of cleaning will be done today. Thinking about all of the forum sistahs too, but hard to comment on specific topics. Guess it's a day of reflection for me.

Peggy, one of my elementary school friends had a daughter who was working at the 911 office in Portland, OR. When I visited my friend about five years ago, she got permission for me to go in and watch her daughter answer calls and handle emergencies. One thing I learned was that if they get an incomplete call (someone calls but does not say anything), and it is from a cell phone, they assume it is a "butt call" and ignore it, BUT if a call comes in from a land line, and no one is there, or all they can hear is breathing, they send a police car in case someone has started to make a call then passed out. That means it is important to keep a land line and make emergency calls from that phone.

It's overcast again but at least the rain has moved off. Forgot to look at the rain gauge when I fed the cats.

This morning I found a container of floor tile glue in the bottom of a closed that had split open. What a mess trying to clean it up and keep nosey cats out of it. Everything I touched is sticky.

I had chicken nuggets and salad for lunch because I didn't feel like cooking. Don't think much else will get done today.

When my son was still with his first ex-wife she was arguing with him and though she would be smart and call 911 and hang up. She wasn't smart enough to know that the police were going to show up. She was the one that got in trouble. I think they took her in just to scare her because they could see she was crazy.

My son was supposed to pick me up today at 4 to go over for dinner. However, he called me at 2 pm and told me that he had gotten a call from the furnace repair man notifying him that he had COVID-19!!! This means my son was exposed, so I did not go over today and won't for at least a couple of days.

Repairman was there on Wednesday and Friday (briefly), but I was not there. Son says guy was wearing mask and stayed at least 6' from him at all times, so that is good. Apparently got symptoms late Friday and yesterday. At least no one else in the house was near him--all were in other rooms. Son got tested on Wednesday but no results yet. Obviously, he will have to be tested again this week a couple of times. Hopefully, neither my son or the rest of the family will get symptoms or the disease.

Son picked up my laundry that I left outside this afternoon. He will bring it back tomorrow, but I told him no hurry. I will need a few groceries before I leave here, but I think I will order and pick up. This place is dangerous, but I don't know where it is safe these days!!

Oh, and I just read that the CDC is recommending that after medical staff and nursing home residents, people over 75, along with first-responders, will be next in line for the vaccine. it was a clear day today but too windy to enjoy sitting out much... even though it maybe warm if the wind is blowing it ceases to be warm it was Sunday and the normal Sunday church although we had a Christmas program mostly singing ... one of the members has an amazing voice and he usually sings O Holy Night which is a long time favorite... and he does it beautifully... could just sit back and listen to him forever... then came home and joined in a zoom Sunday school meeting from Idaho after that watched their Christmas program... and a long nap
Shadow is up and about and need to go turn on the generator... so guess I will do that which means I pull the plug for most things the tree gets to stay plugged in turned off of course but so hard to reach and unplug each day...
