Hi friends!

It's past noon but I have leftover apple or blueberry turnovers.

Shirl, I think of you often with hopes you'll be feeling better soon. beth, I hope you had a good night in Kingman. Sheila, I'm so glad you found your books. Carol, where are you & bill. Judy, your site on the ocean sounds wonderful. I hope we're able to gtg at some point. And that goes for the rest of you, too.

Today was the open house for the model casita and our casita was set on its concrete slab at the same time. Once the pictures are uploaded, I'll show you what happened and it was all good. everyone was served free hotdogs, chips, soda/water & cookies. It lasted a couple hours and there was a good turnout. The weather was awesome, too.

Irmi, I guess everyone pulled up a chair and watched the show. lol I wish I had taken pictures when they put our house on the hill but it was a little too nerve racking.

I woke up at 5:30 with a migraine. I haven't had one that bad in a long time. I took some aspirin and got a wet washcloth for my head. I can't just lay down, I'm up and down pacing. I tried to drink some coffee and threw that up. Took some more aspirin at 10:00 and finally went back to sleep. When I have a migraine my nose runs a lot. I don't know if the headache is from my sinus or my sinus runs because of the headache. The trash truck woke me up at 12:30. I ate a scrambled egg and toast and it was touch and go whether that was going to stay down. I'm finally feeling better but not great.

I wanted to go get Annie's flea treatment at the vet but that can wait until tomorrow. She is back to chewing on her tail again.

Oh martha, I am so sorry about your migraine. I get them but very seldom but they hurt like you know what. I hope you're recovering.

Tomorrow, we are going to Daytona to visit my baby sister, who recently lost her husband. She's having a really tough time, so I've been in the kitchen all afternoon. what we'll take will be lunch for the three of us and she'll get the leftovers. She's not eating well, although she is a chef. She's lost a lot of weight and given it to me.

It's almost on the concrete pad!

Wow Irmi! Now that’s the way to build a house. I didn’t realize you could get one fully made. It’s beautiful. Love the design. It’s how I envision Florida. I see many happy times for you both.

Irmi, thanks for those pictures. What fun. Martha, I hate migraines and really feel for you today.

I need to go back to Kingman and spend a day or two or more. It's on the original Route 66 and I love all the kitchy eateries and shops. Some day after Covid. I'm in Pahrump now for two nights. Tomorrow I'll have my propane tank filled here at the park early, repark the rig and take the car to town, get an eye exam and fill the cars gas . They fit me into a busy day tomorrow for the eye exam because I didn't know when I'll be back. I'll probably come to Pahrump monthly or every other month, but wanted this done. I was due last spring for an eye exam but put it off.

Driving today my phone beeped a couple times. Dang good thing I didn't check as I might have killed myself or someone else. The messages were to tell me that Megan from the Lulu Belle had a stroke last night, was hospitalized and put on life support but died during the night. I'm still in shock. I want to go suddenly when it's my time, but those of us who survive want time to adjust. My heart breaks for her family. She was loved by everyone she met.

Irmi, the picture of your casita is the only thing that has made me smile this whole rotten November. :) It is just perfect.

So sorry about the migraine, Martha. Can't imagine how tough it is to get thru the day with one of those. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Irmi, thost pics are so cool! Love your casita, can't wait to see pics inside.
Sorry about the loss of your friend, Beth. I just found out a close friend from 40 years ago died earlier this year. It really caught me off-guard & I was surprised at how much I felt his loss even though we've been out of touch for many years.

Nothing new here. Bought a baby gate off FB marketplace to keep my little guy out of the hallway/kitchen. Should be easier to deal with than blockading the hall with a storage tub & an old suitcase. He was close to being able to climb over the storage tub so this should work better.

That's it.
Stay safe,
Catherine

Beth, so sorry to hear about your friend. I would like to not go into a nursing home but we don't alway get a choice. I live near people that treat the virus as a hoax and don't want to be told what to do. They can make fun of people that wear masks all they want but I'm not ready to go yet.

Irmi, love your casita. It has to be well made if they can pick it up like that. Sorry your sister is having a hard time.

Catherine, I could lend you some fence panels. lol People are surprised when they see the fence I have up to keep the dog out of the cat food.

Well I had no idea they could move a casita in like that Irmi. Thanks for the pictures. ! i agree with Martha, it must be well made if they can pick it up like that. It is very pretty, I didn't think it would be that large. You could use it as a guest house! :)
It is surprising how many still think this virus is a hoax. The next county over has almost 800 more cases than ours as there are so many there who won't wear a mask and it has a much lower population.

some friends were going to come out today and bring me water (stored my water barrel at their house for the summer) so they are bringing it to me full and hopefully my pump works it almost seems to me that it doesn't and I was going to replace it this summer but totally forgot to do so... we will hope that is a false memory. while out here he was going to remind me how to change the oil in the generator so gathered stuff up for that but then they were a no show... about 5:30 and close to dark I figured that was the case they will come out late morning and we will do what we can. Finally have an appointment for the valve thing earlier than I would like but that is ok at least I have an appointment... we all know that I am not a morning person and I so used to have to be to work by 7 or earlier
Last year I bought a umbrella shade for the chair but didn't ever really work at getting it to work so today I put up much easier than I expected... figured I might as well enjoy it will be spending more time here than in the past...
took a nap but that isn't unusual
my eldest called we actually talked on the phone :o for almost an hour :o (she isn't a phone person but a text person) it was a good visit...
need to get my butt in gear so all is stashed away for the 3 miles into town and back out on Friday... have tried not to take out a lot of stuff but some things have been as one needed to use the sink  wanted to get plants out of the box they traveled in so that they could be watered a bit so they need to go back in... not sure where I am going to put them when back in place as the shelve they used to reside on fell down will need to get someone to put it back in place or put the succulents else where until I get back home and sil can fix it... I do a lot of container gardening one usually comes with me as it's light weight and doesn't take up a lot of room... but I have had the worse luck with things growing in it... told me son in law that I thought it had too much drainage and it was getting really loose needed to be repaired and that I thought I wouldn't take it with me... that thing disappeared so fast and not to where the rest of the containers are stored at... not sure where he took it but hopefully it will be fixed by time I get back up North.. lol
Martha if your headache doesn't improve you might want to have the virus test done as all of those are "symptoms" but I am assuming that you have migraines enough to know... my dd said that was what she started with was a headache ...
Irmi what a fun thing to watch... it will be so fun to make yours...
Beth so sorry about you friend enjoy your time there Brenda seemed to enjoy her time in Paramp have no clue how to spell it... there is a watch thing on FB called can't remember now but Mike Rowe is the host RTF ... Returning the Favor I think anyway they catch good people doing good.... they highlighted a person in Paramp this summer some time... I love watching his episodes and today was someone in Tuscan AZ
you all have a good day

Irmi, that is a cute little casita! I love the color, so bright and sunny looking! Have fun decorating it! I bet the neighbors loved watching that be put in place.

Martha, hope your migrane goes away soon! I have never had one so can't empathize but I have heard they are awful!

Beth, so sorry about your friend! How old was she? Strokes are bad and can leave a person quite disabled for life, if they survive the stroke to begin with. When we lose friends, it reminds us how vulnerable we are.
