...here in Ohio. Lark got me out walking two days in a row. Life is all about choices we can control. Getting out of my chair and making better food choices are under my control. I put on ten stress pounds in 6 months of the plague. It is time to leave those pounds behind. The world these last few days, even with the virus ragging around us, just seems less stressful. I have hope. And I feel so much better when I am comfortable in my clothes and can move better.

Karen glad to hear that life is coming back together for you and Emma, one piece of furniture at a time.

I haven't heard when my potential employment projects start up here in Ohio so I can't work out if or when I can run away from Ohio at least briefly for a week or two or three..... Traveling would be nicer if I had my solar up and running. It would give me more options. I checked with my daughter in Charlotte, NC, and she said that they have not had anyone inside their home since early March and, since physically distancing on the patio in November is unpredictable, there is no reason to come park in their drive way. We sent each other mental hugs.

PS: And I am open to anyone who wants to explain why there seems to be a reluctance to opening Morning Coffee, the cost for the imaginary beverages and munchies all come out of the forum treasury. And once again I think about the lurkers, "Come on down!" What you made for supper is as exciting as going for a walk with a dog. Just because I don't cook doesn't mean that I am not please to know that some folks still remember how to!

Just about to get up and get ready for work here. Looks sunny with a slight breeze this morning, altho I heard we could get rain here later today. They have been getting snow in the local mountains this weekend.

Tina, I too wonder why no one opens MC, but I'm one of the lurkers. Never a lot to say, but my Rabbits Rollcoll day i can usually think of something.

Been hanging around about half way between Killeen and Salado TX. A bit of sightseeing including into Fort Hood to the 1st Calvary Museum. Will be moving on to Fredericksburg tomorrow for a week.

Karen I'm glad to see things are slowly taking shape for you.

Cheryl, I love that description. Itty bitty news. That is all we need. If nothing else it shows that we are still out there in forum land and we still think about one another. It also makes catching up at small GTGs when they happen easier! Big news is exciting but not necessary.

Good morning! It’s a beautiful sunny day in PA today. I would love to run away for the day but the leaves call! I need to work on the back driveway and yard today. First thing I need to do is get the plastic “windows” on the back porch hung. They make a big difference on protecting the porch from wind and snow blowing in! Not ready to winterize everything especially with the beautiful weather we are having right now! I keep telling myself that this is just a bonus and we’ll be feeling the cold and snow soon enough! Tina, I lost weight the last few months! I think it’s probably because I’m cooking at home more. But wish I could figure meals that I don’t have to eat for several days! And that’s even with trying to freeze and cut down with what I cook! Beth, belated birthday greetings. Rascal is finally, I hope, going to get groomed tomorrow. Was supposed to go last Friday but my groomer called and told me her baby grandson was ill and they had to take him to the doctor. So obviously that was more important then pup’s grooming. Little guy is just a couple months old and was apparently just had a “cold” and was all stuffed up. So hopefully tomorrow is Rascal’s day! I will probably take bags of leaves to the dump later today and he knows he gets a walk! I know we should walk more but some days I just can’t seem to get that motivated. I sure hope at some point I can feel comfortable to leave the house and feel free to go and do without worrying about it and thinking about it for days ahead. There is hope! Tina, I’m afraid I’ve become more of a lurker here on the forum. I’m so not a morning person and then later I get busy with whatever so just read and go on. Nothing exciting either, different day and same thing kind of thing. I must try to do better since I really do appreciate each of you! So with that said I need to get myself busy and try to accomplish something today! Have a great day and stay safe.

I often feel I don't have much to say new stuff wise. Same old same old. We did have a tiny bit of rain over friday night into saturday and hope for more soon. My second eye procedure to smooth cornea is Wednesday this week. Will make reading and typing challenging for a few days. My handyman has sprinklers out front almost complete with next task hooking new timer into wiring above my washer/dryer. Hoping that goes smoothly. Then he has 2 solar security lights to hang and border and walk path to finish. Then replace side fence and gate, which posts have rotted off and gate and part of fence were taken down for Mel's wheel chair ramp. Will be nice to have that side yard not open. I have Curves tomorrow then a few off for the SK thing on my right eye. This weekend was two virtual stamp events and Curves has a week long virtual event. Those kept me busy watching iPad and mostly sitting, which is hard on my back.
Karen, glad settling into your new home has begun. Irmi, will look forward to seeing progress on your Casita. Walks in the woods sound so nice, closest we get is walk at park. Son and I are hoping by the week after Thanksgiving my eyes will be healed enough that I can drive us up to the foothills to a tree farm for a nice fresh tree. Last years cataract surgery interrupted that tradition and the locally bought tree did not stay fresh as long as mountain cut fresh do. I know people already decorating for Christmas, how about you?
Friday I had several spots frozen on face, neck and back of shoulders. Those blisters can be so annoying after, bu at least none were cancer, just headed to pre cancer and now gone. I'll miss my wonderful derm Dr of over 30 years when he retires next summer!

Hello Everybody. I like itty bitty news! No matter which way you slice it, yesterday was a breakthrough for women! Another beautiful summer like day here. A break on the energy bill; no heat or ac needed. Enjoy your day. Peggy

Itty bitty news works great. It's a vast improvement over my non-news lol The dying winds came with dropping temps and some more unexpected rain. There's a possibility of some rain with the even colder temps expected tomorrow.

The only lights in my casita are ceiling ones. I just ordered an adjustable floor standing led lamp. It can be adjusted for brightness and height. And can be used on the floor or on a table. I think it'll fill the bill for me when here. I'm going to miss the casita when I head to Yuma this time next week. I'm realizing I will be able to stay here longer times if and when that happens.

My weight has been a problem for 6 or 7 years. I've been adding an average of 4 pounds a year. That doesn't sound like much, but on a 5 foot frame, it's been way too much added up. I need to work on it. I'm wearing clothes in a size unheard of by me previously.

Since it's afternoon I actually did something. lol After breakfast I decided to make a potato salad to go with the gumbo I made the other day and use some potatoes before they go bad. I got carried away making gumbo and have 10 containers in the freezer. I had a half of a yellow cake mix so decided to make a small rum cake. I have two small bundt pans that are half the size of the large one. Rum cake is one of my favorite. Chocolate banana bread might be next. lol

The sun finally came out and it's up to 85. It gets cool enough over night that the air conditioner doesn't come on until in the afternoon.

Velda, hope your eye procedure goes well. I went to a new dermatologist last year and they said they would call me for a checkup in a year. That didn't happen. Doctors just don't want to call medicare patients. You might be able to get into a new practice and then they quit taking medicare patients. I don't have any spots that are worrying me now. I would like to fence the back yard but not sure how they could make it dog proof since they would have to come up the hill in two places. I have some Christmas decorations in my office but only because they got wet for one of the hurricanes and I tried to save them. My little plastic 18 inch tree that I put in my motorhome for the Christmas campout wouldn't light up. I took the battery part out of it and put a string of the tiny battery operated lights in it. That will work. Our Christmas campout is less than 4 weeks away. I need to find something for the gift exchange. I had a door mat that played music when you stepped on it and it quit working. I should search for one to order. I think I have one of the light projectors that I bought after Christmas when they were on sale. I don't know what I did with it.

Cheryl, I wish I had know there were museums at Ft Hood. My sister and I went years ago to see my grandson. We would have to wait most of a day for his mother to decide to bring him to see us.

I do open morning coffee, but the problem is that I am NOT a morning person. That means not only that I sleep in, but that it really takes me a lot of time in the morning to get moving, so by the time I am ready to go online, it is usually noon or later.

I decided to stay here is Valley of Fire an extra day. We had a strong wind and dust storm on Friday afternoon, with the temps dropping from mid-70s to 50s and then at night it got down even lower and rained. Yesterday a little more rain, still lots of wind, and high of 57---Brrrrr. Supposed to leave today for Boulder Beach along Lake Mead, but it is non-hookup, so I decided to stay here where I had electric for my heater another day. Will head to Boulder tomorrow, find a spot and leave stuff on it, then head out to go to a jeweler to get a Rolex watch verified to see if it is real or a fake. (It was my aunt's.) Then a stop at a grocery store and maybe someplace to find a couple of new bras.

Going to visit Oatman, AZ, on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then head up to Joshua Tree NP and stop by Barbie's place. I am interested in seeing what her place looks like and what a park model park looks like. I've promised myself I would catch up on phone calls--gastroenterologist, auto glass for windshield, Chaco Canyon reservation in March, income tax estimated payment, and a bunch more. At least on Friday I called my credit union to figure out why they were not accepting my VISA payments (wrong account entered into their new system).

Was pretty busy at work today. A lot of kids, which we usually don't get many of. The day went by fast.

Where I work is right near the mountains on the west side of the valley (I live on the east side of the valley) and I could see rain clouds coming over the mountains in the afternoon. Had a few sprinkles but nothing more. I was told that they got a ton of rain yesterday around there, but by the time it got across the valley to where I live, we only got a few drops. Where I am, we get most of our rain from storms that come up from the south and east. It was super windy again today and only 65 degrees. I sure hope it calms down tomorrow so I can finally get the porch and deck cleaned up.

I stopped at WM on the way home and picked up a small boneless turkey breast and a few other things for a small Thanksgiving dinner for myself.

Hopefully they will know about the black water tank valve before Thanksgiving as I want to start putting up Christmas decorations then... it would be nice to have an idea so that I could know what I can do inside the 5th wheel to un-packing
but will give them a few more days before I contact them... itty bitty news good one... I usually ramble on so long that it surprises me when I am through

it's well after 10 should go out and turn off the generator but whoes to hear it for sure someone... I normally take Shadow out to do his thing then turn it off but he is sound a sleep
last night I mentioned that I was having problems with the radio operating on the battery tried it later and it came on today when I've had it on it's only been on battery just now remembered I'd not plugged it in...
need to go add air to the bed then go turn off the generator will take Shadow out when he wakes up
he doesn't do well walking about when he is half asleep...
