Good morning all, Back from the hospital another of life’s challenges. :x Rode an ambulance to hospital because of excruciating back pain. Took 7 days but hopefully solved. They MRI, Catscanned, X-ray every inch of my body including my head. I have been told in the past I needed my head examined. Lol. All tests were normal so that is good news. I just need to convince Shirl’s 84 year old brain that she needs to take better of her body and move slower. So glad to read some good news on this site, Yea, Karen, Irmi and Martha. Will catch up on pass news. Stay safe

Oh no Shirl, sure hope they fixed you up proper. Always makes me wonder when regular posters go missing. I tend to worry alot LOL I am very glad you are back tho.

Have some running around to do this morning. I cant buy anything more because my car is chock full as I am heading up to my house tomorrow for about 4 days. Time to get stuff done up there. Now if only I had some furniture LOL Some stuff I will just buy up there like housecleaning, kitchen, bedroom things etc I am having quite a few deliveries over the next few days so I need to be there to get them into the house. One thing was delivered yesterday and I called on my former neighbor, who moved in up there too, to please go fetch it LOL We kind of looked after each others house and mail when one of us was away before so I suspect that wont change because he only lives one street over from me.

I dont even have the tv news on today. I looked at the results but still way too undecided and it will take a few days I am sure to get all the final results. I am watching Law & Order, much better for my psyche.

I need to go to the bank today as I have a couple of checks to deposit. I also have to buy a printer so I can print out some forms I have to fill out for the DMV. All the other government businesses are open BUT limited but not the DMV....go figure AND nobody ever answers the phone there. I hate the DMV.

I got cold last night so put the heat up a degree. Then when I went to bed I had to turn it down a degree because I got hot. Frosty didn't come in again last night but was here for breakfast. I need to start looking for him before it gets dark. Now Inky has been missing for a couple of days. I don't know where these idiots go.

Shirl, sorry to hear of your back problems. I have never had anything hurt as much as when I had sciatica. Don't know how something could hurt that much and then just go away.

I had to quit watching the elections results last night. They were making me dizzy with all the flipping around on the maps.

Need to get dressed and go to Walmart. I am down to one egg. Sugar and I share some scrambled eggs every morning and I don't think one egg would go very far. I would like to restock the freezer but with another storm out there I am afraid to. The freezer is down to where I could leave with everything but that makes it slim pickings for meals.

Welcome back, Shirl. I was wondering why you disappeared. Hate that you were in the hospital. I'm glad you checked out ok but you didn't say if they discovered the cause of the pain and if that's better? I hope it's better! I can't remember what caused my back pain many years ago that sent me for help. I do remember being almost totally immobile for a few days. It's not fun.

Martha, I laugh at myself when I change the temp by a degree. But it can make a difference. But I can handle it much warmer during the day than what I want for sleeping.

Karen, it's great that you have that neighbor to help each other. And it sounds like things are progressing rather quickly.

Beth, problem is age and bulging disc. Have an appointment with Spine Specialest on Friday so will learn details and preventive care. Will also see physical therapy which has kept this aging body moving.lol

Good Morning Shirl, ouch...sorry to hear. Sheila, glad you have arrived at your destination. Wish I could keep you company. Karen, you are moving right along with your shopping.
I had an EKG . My Doc was pleased. He put me on a beta blocker and the pulse, within 3 hours was down to 72. I think I was dehydrated. Doc said to drink two liters a day. I can barely get one down. I am never thirsty. Don’t care for soda, but did drink one of the daughters just to ge 12 oz of liquid. I do like mimosas. Maybe start drinking them!
Martha, I enjoy hearing of your cats adventures. With cars, never a dull moment!

boy did I waste this day!!! totally what I did had to talk myself into it... it was sitting down and thinking I didn't sleep well think a nap sounds good thought that got me about an hour and half later I hear a load knock at the door so get up but guess I wasn't fast enough as no one was there ... saw a red outfit pulling a utility trailer some distance off so don't even know if it came from my area...you would think that they would have stuck around a bit longer or knocked more than once...
got a few groceries and drive through at McD... except I didn't get what I ordered got what I think she thought I ordered... :o so was disappointed but it is what is got home before dark which was the intent it gets really dark out here and I've not put out solar lights marking my way... need to get more as well...
it's so easy to get dehydrated I never drink all that I should or that is recommended. I know that generally bottled water is probably not what it indicates... but I have a real liking for this icelandic water bottle says it was bottled at the source: Olfus Spring... Iceland... whether it was or not it is some good tasting water... so I try to get a couple of bottles when I go to Smith's which down here is rare... but it dawned on me Smith's is a Kroger store so maybe some of them will have it... :) something to keep in mind when I am where Kroger stores are.... there is a Smith's in Havasue oh well if I get it or not that is the way it is... did get a couple of gals filled today... going to buy some more water so I have enough containers to be able to fill 5 at a time and still have one in fridge... hate warm water so am trying to be more proactive with drinking water...
need to go out and turn the generator on should have gotten gas but it was getting late so will go in and fill a couple of gas cans tomorrow and hopefully get the feeders up it's suppose to cool down a bit in a few days that might help... that and getting used to time yes AZ doesn't change time but when it changes is the rest of the world AZ time is the same as Pacific so I come out of Mt daylight time to Pacific day light to Pacific then to AZ which is now Mt. standard I think all I know is it put the phone on Phoenix time you would have thought it would have had AZ time but it didn't and it's not alphabetical either which seems weird to me...
now to crochet and let the generator fill up the batteries again...

Got up early and took out the trash and then headed to work. Not to actually work, but to pick up my cell phone that I left there last night. I checked the new schedule for next week and my manager had me scheduled for Saturday which I had requested off last week. So she and I switched days, so I will work her Tuesday. I want Saturday off because the temps will be much cooler and I can work outside and get that all cleaned up. Gotta blow off the ton of dust and dead grass from when they scalped the lawn, and then hose down the house and deck, clean up my golf cart and swing, etc. Kind of like Spring cleaning, but in the fall. That is how the seasons go out here in the desert!

I planned to clean up my bedroom and the kitchen today but only got most of my bedroom done. Did laundry too. Cleaning and organizing takes longer than I always figure on, for some reason. I think I get too nit-picky about every little thing. Ran out of steam by 6:00. I guess tomorrow will be the kitchen and then the living room. I am trying to get rid of more stuff as I go and get things more organized so I can find things easier.

Tomorrow will be pushing 100* but then the bottom drops out and will only be in the upper 60's by Saturday! Crazy :o but I think this will be the final end to the hot temps. Looks like 60's and 70's for the foreseeable future. No complaints here! :D

Lyn, alcohol can dehydrate you even more, so maybe virgin Mimosas! I don't like the taste of plain water and was always dehydrated until I discovered flavored water. I drink only Propel water now. It has electrolytes in it as well and very little sugar. I drink a lot more water now.

Off to bed a little early so I can get up early and get started on the kitchen. I don't have much to do in there, altho that is what I thought about the bedroom until I got going in there. Always more work than you think.

Am staying away from TV, radio and FB so I can stay in my own little happy peaceful world :) until Sunday when I will enter back into the harsh reality of Covid and political chaos. :(
