Good morning after Rabbits day.
Frustrating day yesterday.
Forgot Rabbits
On my way south, finally. Drove over 300 miles to Great Falls, MT. I don't like long days but need to get further south to where the overnight temps are above freezing.
Tomorrow will be to Idaho Falls.
Headed to Arizona City again this year. Made some good friends at the park where I was and have not finished exploring everything in that area.
Hoping to make it to Q in January.
That is all the news from here. Hopefully this will post as yesterdays one just vanished.

Good morning taking a somewhat down day today. I am meeting a friend and one of our neighbors today just to catch up. Might swing by Home Depot just to see what the current prices are on a drill. We shall see. I feel like I have been up for hours. Cleaned my "house" LOL basically just straightened up my room. Took the trash outside my door to be picked up. Took a shower. Cruised Amazon. And now guess I will play a game or two LOL

I’m a day late but I did remember to say Rabbits shortly after midnight yesterday. Had a slow night for trick or treaters….only 13! Last year I had to turn off my lights early because I was running out of treats. I have lots of candy left. Covid is still raging in the Midwest. Our school has been on virtual learning since last week because so many of the teachers and a hand full of students had it. Word is that they’re supposed to go back tomorrow but there are still quite a few teachers who are sick and there isn’t anyone who wants to sub. The only reason they are pushing going back tomorrow is because the district volleyball tournaments start tomorrow night and our team has a good chance of going on to state tournament, but they can’t play if the school is in virtual learning mode. Our football team had to forfeit the first round of the football playoffs last week. That was no big deal because there was no way that they could have won against the team they were supposed to play because they had been ranked first in our division all season. I’m still staying home as much as possible. I did go and get my drivers license renewed last week. They were taking appointments, so I took the first one in the morning and I was the only one in the area at the time. So I can continue to exhibit road rage for five more years! The wellness center notified us that it was opening today. None of our group felt comfortable going back at this time so we called and they are willing to put our membership on hold until we feel comfortable.

I finally cut out the pattern for Bronc’s western shirt and started sewing it yesterday. The pattern is from some company in Texas that I had never heard of and I have to say it is the most poorly drafted pattern I have ever used. The pattern directions are terrible too. I might be embarrassed to give it to him.

So that’s what is new around here.

Today was my short day only 100 Brenda don't know the route you will take to get to Arizona City but CA 95 has several area's of construction... took me longer I think because of it... you would miss all if you take the Bullhead City Exit from NV95 just before you get to CA... just a thought...
once I said to a friend that I take 95 all the way she quickly corrected me .... no you don't well when you leave I15 get on 515/95 in NV then that turns into CA95 till I40 for about 20 miles then 95 again till you turn at Vidal Junction on to something till you get to Parker and on AZ95 I think the about 40 miles maybe 50 of not being something 95 really doesn't count
one of those things I think of every so often .... wished I'd counteracted... I decided to stay in town instead of going out to the desert and needing to use the batteries to put the slides out and in and out and in I would just pay for a spot and use electricity. it's a nice RV Park but think a bit over priced... but my choice...
I don't know how they figure out where to put the stuff here it's at the end of the lot all but the power cord hook up is toward the front I am having to use my old hose that leaks as well as my new 25 ft one in order to reach think I am going to fill up the tank here though ... save me a trip down to South LaPosa for water...
I have no idea how long putting in that new valve will take hopefully not long as it's hot in the day time... a few things I need to get and then try to hang low for awhile... do need to call the eye drs and set up an appointment for consult...
and need to remember to drink more H2O I forget but it's hot enough that I should try better to remember.
so glad that pretty much my trip is over just about 5 miles or so perhaps not that long going to get propane bottles filled so they will lift them into the bay

Mine was mostly a down day too. Didn't do much. I am trying to take something back to the old house every time I go out. Probably just asking for another storm. There is something they are watching but is about 10 days out so don't know what it will do. I just hope it dies when it goes into Central America.

The storm had twisted up some of my roses so I decided to cut some of them. I look like I lost that war. They were fighting back.

Found a sample ballot in the news paper to fill out for tomorrow. I vote at the local school and there is never very many people at a time. Interested to see how it will be tomorrow. I'll be so glad when this is over. I just hope we don't have a lot of trouble. No telling what Trump will do before January if he loses.

Pat, I made western shirts when I was in high school but I don't remember if I bought a pattern or used an old shirt to make a pattern. I had the tool to put in the snaps. I designed my own yokes and put them on the pants legs to match. I'm not nearly that ambitious now. I want to make a cover for the sofa in the motorhome but not bad enough to go look at material. I could probably order some online but would really like to see it in person.

Sheila, glad you made it to Q. Hope they can get your repairs done quickly so you can get settled for a while. Glad your phone decided to work. Mine does some stupid things sometimes.

I'm not much of a sewer. I can sew a straight line, that's about it.

When my kids were growing up we were always. . . let's just say we had hit a large pothole on the road to prosperity, and the tow truck hadn't got there yet.

I remember one time my son wanted a western shirt when he was maybe 7 or 8 years old. I can't remember why he wanted one. He never really asked for much, but he wanted a western shirt really bad, and I wanted to get one for him. I looked at nice kid's western shirts at the store, the prices were totally out of my ballpark, maybe something like $20 or so. No way that was going to happen.

So I went to the local thrift store, bought the smallest long-sleeve shirt I could find (I think it cost all of a dollar, and it even had snaps on the front). When I got it home I cut the cuffs off, cut the sleeves about 3 or 4 inches shorter, then sewed the cuffs back on. Then I went to the fabric store and bought about .25 cents worth of some dangly fringe, which I sewed on the back of the sleeves.

It really didn't look too great - it sorta looked like a western shirt if you maybe squinted your eyes almost closed, and looked at it from across the room. If it was a really big room. . .

Anyway, my son was thrilled with it. He was too young to recognize that it wasn't the best sew job in the world - on the other hand, he probably wouldn't have cared. He wore it until he outgrew it - which was only a couple of months. I think I still have it around here someplace.

That shirt made both of us happy.

Sheila, my bil replaced my black tank valve on my last rig... Took about 5 minutes. Hopefully that's all you need.

My bedroom window is wide open and I'm hot. I needed my sweatshirt to walk Ty but the breeze isn't coming in. Even Ty is staying on top of the covers. Hopefully it'll cool off soon.

It was very busy at work today! I did 15 haircuts and was wiped out by the end of the day. I am off to bed early tonight. One more day of work and then 4 days of work around here. Hopefully, I will be more motivated this week! It will be in the 90's until Saturday, when the temps take a nosedive and will only be in the low 70's Sat thru early next week. Will wait until the cooler days to do the outside stuff. Meanwhile, back to the to-do list I didn't finish last week...

I contacted a professional painter that does a lot of work in the park here and came highly recommended. He is gonna take a look at my trim painting situation and let me know what to do, and give me an estimate on what it would cost to have him paint all the trim for me. Not sure my shoulders can handle that right now. Having a lot of issues with my left shoulder lately.

When I was really little, maybe 3 or 4, my parents bought me a brown western cowgirl outfit when they were out here in CA visiting my grandfather. I vaguely remember it, Lots of fancy lace and fringe trim and a matching cowboy hat. I wish they had taken a photo of me wearing it. I used to buy used or discounted western shirts from a equestrian shop (mostly English stuff but some western wear too), back in MN when I was a teenager. Loved the colors on them and the snaps in front. They were marked down a lot at the end of each month so I got some good deals.

I think I will open the windows tonight. Should be cool enough for that. Hoping tomorrow won't be quite so busy at work. I noticed my shoulder was more sore tonight than usual.

I plan to stay away from TV, FB and any news reports for as long as I can the next several days. It will be too stressful for me and I don't think there will be a clear cut winner for awhile anyways. Just a lot of chaos.

Anne, what we do to make our kids happy. When my older son was little I took his old bike, spray painted it black, put a new seat and handle bar for Christmas one year. If he ever knew it was his old bike he never said. Back then I could probably order bike parts from Sears. Growing up I was a pretty good bike mechanic because I had to be. I don't know where our bikes came from but we never had a new one. I don't remember our old bikes rusting like the ones sold today. Most of them are just crap.

Growing up I don't remember there being thrift stores or we would have been going to them. I remember an old army surplus store. Mother bought us an old tent. I think that thing was treated with oil and it sure stunk but we loved that old thing. Looking at old pictures my brothers wore jeans with the legs rolled up. I guess Mother didn't want to cut them off in case they grew taller.
