Halloween Saturday

I'm still laying in bed. Ty got out from under the covers a few minutes ago so I guess I'll be getting up shortly. I have a few projects I'll work on today. I'm not holding my breath that one will be working on the landscaping. But you never know.

I went to Safeway yesterday and bought way too much. Yes, it'll all get used, but what a difference when I go inside versus pickup. And too many idiots get inside with their mask on, then remove it. And those same people don't even try to distance. The stores in Benson don't have pickup. I'm hoping Yuma will have it again.

Time to get my day going before it's half gone before starting.

Had a busy day yesterday. Love my new carpeting. Went shopping for the silly stuff yesterday. Ya know a broom, dustpan, garbage cans and garbage bags. The stuff you dont miss until you need it. I bought a cheapo clock for the kitchen as I had no idea what time it was easily. Luckily I had brought some batteries up with me. Went up to my old neighbors house. Used to live next door and now 1 street over. His is very nice and he has a great yard all fenced. Emma got to run around and loved it. After going to the store we went out to eat. I did my laundry in between trips and other than being quite small the washer and dryer worked well. I can wait on replacing those for a bit. My carpet looks great. Such a difference. Met a couple of neighbors. My next door neighbor has a small Pom and the neighbor across the street has a small white dog. We chatted for a while and then I knew I had to get going as I didnt want to drive over the mountains in the dark. Got home at 6:15 and it was getting dark then. Will just relax today. In fact I am still in my lounging sweats but need to get it together soon. Need to make a Walmart run for a few more essentials.

Things are coming together slowly. Next on my list is some cleaning supplies, basic coffee pot for up at the new house. I need my other one here LOL I also need to look at some lamps to put on my non-existence end tables LOL It is the little things in life you have to replace and dont think about them until you need them.

Sure doesn't feel like Halloween. Time is flying by. Already November tomorrow! And turning back the clicks tonight! It already gets dark too early and now will really be early!

I noticed that Lyn's profile shows she checked in this morning. She must just be lurking.

Very slow at work today.

Thanks barbie for the message about Lyn.

earlier this week, the framing was put down for our casita and yesterday, the pvc pipe was installed for the plumbing, so things are slowly getting done. we are in a temporary site while the work is done plus this way, we'll be out of the way for the concrete truck and crane to put the casita in place.

Tomorrow is church, so I need to practice for that real soon.

Lyn hadn't checked in for awhile, so hopefully being on this morning means one of us got through to her. Now we'll hope she posts.

Irmi, exciting news. I hope you're taking pictures all along the journey.

Barbie, Arizona never changes time so I came back here to early darkness. I don't like it, but I also don't like changing time. I don't need to do anything.

It doesn't feel much like Halloween but we never did have trick or treaters out here. I finally quit buying candy that I would eat. One of the boxes of Halloween snacks I bought is Fruit Rollups. I probably haven't eaten one of those since my boys were small.

I made a quick trip to Home Depot in Lafayette. The traffic was terrible. I wanted to go to Harbor Freight but there was no way I was going to fight the traffic to get there. I should know better than to go on a Saturday. The weather is so nice I guess everyone was out.

Looks like football is back. It was on all the local tv stations. I watched about 5 minutes of LSU and they were being beaten bad.

they are gorgeous Barbie...
so went out and hooked up the sewer hoses and went and pulled and pulled and pulled on the black water valve... so gave up and came in and decided I was going to see if I could find the company that works on that issue in Q on the phone and the phone won't open... wow I am not liking this day ... got a shower did laundry though and did through FB's messenger make an appointment for the valve to be replaced that will be don on Tuesday between 1 and 2 hopefully I won't need to sit there for an hour waiting...
my dd tried calling at my request and just rings into voice mail...
so I need to find a place to replace my phone... due for a new one anyway... but really why couldn't it wait until I could easily find a place... personally try not to go to the Verizon with the check by the name which is all there is near Q and I am not savvy enough to figure out Yuma... not sure what to google to get the true Verizon...
so besides worrying about stuff did accomplish almost what I planned on...
I think I will leave here on Monday so I am not late... go and stay in town so I can plug in and let out the slides could do it out in the desert but I really don't want to put them in again out there hopefully my generator will work each time it was started it started which is good but given the time I had last year I am not too trusting...
and I need to find someone to help me unhook when I get through with every thing in town... think I am going to get the propane tanks filled so I don't have to lift them in... and get water while hooked up
here is hoping that the grey water valve works... my theory is (last time I pushed the black water in it was hard) the last time it was pumped out I wasn't there thinking the guy who pumped it out pushed it hard and it got stuck ... anyway sounds like a theory right? It was something that I was hoping to get fixed this spring on my way out of town... so it's happening on my way in... it's been a totally expensive month thankfully 3 of my kids helped with the power steering paid almost all of it... now need to figure out how is best to do this... and in cash dang!!! trying to picture where I can park by the bank with the 5th wheel and truck ... think though there is a ATM out by Safeway maybe what I need to do.. might be easiest...
I have a clock that is almost the right time for now but I don't know how to set the alarm which is too bad had thought of getting up and viewing church but it's in a different time zone and depending upon what the alarm is set for
we do depend upon the phones for a lot...
you all have a great day

Sheila, you sure have a long list of things to do. Sorry that all that happened at the same time. I don't know how to find a real Verizon store but I know it makes a difference. I bought my Verizon tablet from the store in Lafayette and have no problem if I go there. If I go to the local Verizon store I have problems and they want to charge for things that should be free.

Sheila, the company Verizon store in Yuma is just off 95 north of I-8 on Yuma Palms Parkway. You are getting more than your share of issues!
