Gusty Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gusty Sunday

Good morning gals!

Very, very wind here! All night long! Santa Anna's blowing up to 50 mph here! Palm trees are swaying!! :o Felt good with the breeze coming in all night (with the windows just barely open). Nice and cool!

Back to work today. Sundays are shorter days, only 6 hours. I usually don't work Sundays but got put on the schedule this weekend. I had asked back when I started, to have Sundays off to go to church, but I just watch on You Tube now anyways.

Enjoy your day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning Barbie. Have been up for a while. We have sunny skies with wispy clouds but 35° again. Going to get down to 26 tomorrow and I have to drive to Roseburg fairly early as my carpet installers are coming at 9am. Takes about an hour and 30-40 minutes. They said it might take 2 days so will just leave them a key and they can leave it in the house when they are done. The locks are very phony on this house. I am replacing the doors anyway so then will get everything rekeyed the same front and back. Since the house is empty LOL I am not too worried about stealing ha ha. I will go over to the storage unit and get a few of my camping chairs and tables so I do have a place to sit LOL I will take a before and after pic of the carpeting IF I remember LOL

Can you believe we have another possible hurricane headed this way on Wednesday. I am so sick of this. I almost moved the Mazda back and the utility trailer is still up on the hill. I have a leak in the metal roof on the house and I haven't heard from an insurance adjuster yet. I have to get insurance through the state and they sent me a letter saying they received my claim. I need to call the company that repaired the barn and see if they work on metal roofs.

The fish were really bitting yesterday. I could have had a fish dinner if I felt like cleaning fish. One of the cats followed me to the pond. I didn't see an alligator but I don't want the cats following me down there. It was cool enough that I needed a jacket.

I don't know what I'll do today. I don't have to cook because I have leftovers. I would go fishing again if I didn't have to go through so many gates. The calves are use to being fed so they want to follow me and they are shut out of the area by the pond.

Good afternoon gals!

barbie, Ive been thinking about you and the Santa Anna winds you're dealing with. I know Velda is being hit with them, too. Karen, I'm so tickled that you have a new home and decorating it the way you want. what y you've been through is not the way we want to so it, though. martha, I've been thinking about you with another storm system headed your way. I mentioned you in conversation this morning on our way to church.

my baby sister's hubby died from lymphoma one week ago and she is heart broken. Since she is in Daytona, she is close enpough to easily visit. my oldest sister was just diagnosed with brain cancer and is in hospice care and not doing well. She is in md, so I've been living in a fog lately.

I need a v new power cord for my laptop and am using Steve's old laptop. Lots of capitral letters won't work and his backspace key doesn't work so I can't make any corrections. we got him a new laptop and since we've been spending moolah on our casita, my power cord has taken a back seat, so please excuse all the typos. Sp for the time being, this is what I'm putting up with.

Chilly today, high of 61 and very windy, but I am going out for a quick bike ride to the east visitor center and rim, and to stop at the market to get milk and bread, Will be 37 tomorrow and next day, and with snow predicted, it will be too cold to ride my bike. Also need to set up water and sewer hookups for 12-17 degree weather next three nights. I have a heat duct in my compartment where my tanks are located, but I have to put rags around the electric hose and unhook the sewer after dumping my tanks. Also need to add water to fresh water tank.

Was 38 last night but I have plenty of propane so stayed warm last night, but i know propane goes very fast in this weather. Brrrr.

Campground has been full last couple of months, i am told, but it looks pretty empty today. Wonder how many will be checking in. Motorhomes like mine and bigger often have covered and ducted tanks, but many trailers do not, especially the rentals I see, so it will be interesting. No elk around today, either.

Well I certainly wasn't ready for this on October 25th! We have about 6" of snow and there is another front coming in. Anyone want to have happy hour on the patio with me? It's 27 with a feels like 16 temp.

Spent the afternoon tracing off a pattern for a western shirt for Bronc. Piddley work. Darn pattern was $16.00 so I didn't want to cut the size I need because I might want to make a bigger size later. But I don't feel like cutting out the pattern now. Thinking about trying a new popcorn ball recipe....but if I sit here long enough that urge may subside. I should be pulling out my snow boots and gloves.

Have a good week.

brrrr that looks cold Pat... here it is cold and windy phone says 25 degree's but my son in law told me it was 9 degrees in Tetonia after I left...so guess it could be worse... going to fill up the bottles tomorrow don't want to run out of propane in either tank today other that when I've been gone the buddy has been running... a quite day daughter didn't pick me up until almost 7 had supper and left about 8:45 it will be a lazy day tomorrow... no transportation so will occupy myself with perhaps reading  bought a book the other day that has proven way different titled The Rose of Lancaster County... it's a Amish book sorta before the revolutionary war a few years after the witch trials not far from Salem not sure if I can finish it tomorrow but sure can try...
hopefully they will get the truck finished tomorrow the problem is the lift for the truck is outside and if it's as cold as it was today and as windy I won't hold my breath...
got me a pillow to put behind my back that is bigger than the one I have been using only think it is too soft... not giving me the support I want
you all have a good day

Our wind Sunday wasn't all that much . Highest gust here was 18 mph. Mostly just a sunny quiet Sunday . On amd I celebrated Octoberfest Brauts tonight. We don't drink beer but he had root beer. watched church on zoom this morning. Gotta admit it feels safer than sitting among sneezing kids slobbering on stuff, along with adults who come even with colds during normal times. Sure hope we get rain soon. It's been a dry year.
Have a good week all.
