Hearts and thoughts With Karen this Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hearts and thoughts With Karen this Wednesday

Postby Bethers » Wed Sep 09, 2020 10:51 am

I'm so grateful Karen and Emma are safe, but can't really imagine everything she's going through. Karen please realize we are here for you in any ways possible and don't hesitate to let us know what will help.

For everyone, please keep watch of the fires and weather around. Our lives are so much more important than the things we accumulate.

Absolutely. Karen, we are all thinking of you and Emma. Please don't hesitate to let us know what you need and what we can do to help.

Situations like this really puts things in perspective.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Most recent I saw posted re Karen, was, she was on way to Walmart for few things, then to Red Cross and FEMA meeting . At that post she had not yet been allowed back to view her place. Feel so for everyone involved this horrid fire season all along west coast states. It's so hard to know so many affected. In some areas, people evacuate then where they were evacuated too, also gets evacuated! And peak of fire season isn't here yet!
Stay safe everyone.

No, it isn't. Peak fire season here (as you know, Velda) is mid-October to (these days) mid-November (the fire season doesn't end here until the hard rains finally arrive).

I am re-posting my comment from Beth's "Early Snow" thread:

Karen, if you are able to read this, know that we are all thinking of you and wishing you the best. If you need clothing, you and I are about the same size - I have a lot of clothes - let me know and I will try to get a box to you. I am also willing to send a few $$. Let us know what you need.

I also have a dog crate, food bowls, and etc.

Karen, my heart goes out to you.

Hope you don’t mind if I changed day to Wednesday.

Sorry to hear about Karen. Does anyone know if she lives in her motorhome or someplace else? I hope she was able to at least grab her purse and essentials. Made me think about what I should do to prepare but sometimes there is just no time.

She lives in a 55+ manufactured homes community. I’m not sure where she stores her RV, but have this thought in the back of my mind that it could possibly be in a storage area in her development - which wouldn’t bode well for the fate of her RV. I hope I’m wrong about where it’s stored.

From what I understand, her RV is off-site and in a safe place.

Would Someone, Laura, post on the members only thread an address where we could send Karen notes etc. several years ago when I was full time, my rig burned and Inlost everything. The greatest help were the checks friends sent. Lyn
