It’s Sunday

At least I think it’s Sunday! Yep, looked at my phone and that’s what it says! Crazy how fast the days fly by. And with not working and no kids in the house that have to be in school it’s even harder. I went out to the fairgrounds yesterday afternoon to visited with friends that are hosting. Some of the food vendors That are usually at the fair have managed to set up outside the grounds in various places so have been able to get some of my fair favorites! Yesterday was apple dumpling. This family has been coming to the fair for as many years as I remember and they make the best apple and peach dumplings. Kinda been my treat of choice for many years! Usually with cinnamon ice cream but had to pass on that since I wouldn’t have been able to get it home before it melted! They make them right there on site so I know they’re fresh! Sad though looking over what is usually nothing but tents and campers to just see a few campers here and there. DS had to come out on a call and stopped by and said the same thing. I realized he started first grade here and has only missed a couple of the fairs throughout the years. A fun time visiting with friends at their tents. This encampment would have been 146 years this year. If you’re interested I think they have a web page....Grange Fair in Centre Hall PA. That’ll explain the history. It took me a few years to figure out what it was all about when we first moved here.
We are now in a drought watch and asked to reduce water usage. We sure need rain. And I watch the crazy weather all over the country and wonder what’s going on! Hope all of you in the path of the fires and hurricanes stay safe. What we have here is minor compared to what you all are dealing with. Have a good week and stay safe.

Way past morning and way past the first day of the month, but I did say Rabbits. Don’t think it did any good…Covid is on the rise in our county. There was a big golf tournament and several people were infected and before they knew it, they had spread it to others. I was just getting to the point that I would venture out a little because we hadn’t had any new cases in 5 weeks and there weren’t any active cases.

So, my summer had been pretty slow. Sean bought a next to new pontoon and I have been out on that a couple afternoons. One day he took us ol’ ladies out for a three-hour cruise! And another day Missy and I went with some of the some of the young ens! They were knee boarding and tubing. Missy and I were the spotters. I could live on the river every day if given the chance. The kids belated wedding reception went great. As far as we know there wasn’t any spread of the virus. My sister and I only went for about two hours and were outside the entire time.

Bronc and Ashley started school this week. Bronc was excited about going back but isn’t quite sure how his dad was going to get things done without his help. Haddie was ready to get back to daycare to have some little girls to play with.

So that’s about it for my news. Pretty boring.

Have you noticed that the days are getting shorter? The sun is setting around 8 pm instead of past 9 pm lately. I have very mixed feelings about this. It has been a hot summer, so I will appreciate the cooler temps that come with fall. Winter will be in southern California (maybe), Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, so I won't see much in the way of cold, but it would be nice to have a little rain here and there.

The only problem with shorter days is that it is much more of a rush to get to a new campground before the sun sets. And there is nothing worse than parking a motorhome in the dark by yourself! It will also mean less daytime for sightseeing and being outdoors. Both of these things are reasons I was really looking forward to summer last winter!

Moved back to Hood Park today for five days, and then will be heading southeast to Boise ID and also to Heyburn ID for a week. Wish there were more museums and visitor centers open, but at least some of the big states are showing some progress in slowing the virus down. Just hope the college students and campaign events will not stop the progress.

ugh I think that I loosened a crown at least I hope that it is a crown... not a cheap fix for sure and if it's a tooth I will be bummed out for sure I was going to get a bridge this winter on the other side of my mouth...I bit down on a almond m&m think some of the coating edged up
oh well if I could afford it would have all the bad teeth taken out and have those implants put in but then if wishes were fishes we would all have a fry right???
it was a nap day last week it was too hot to even think of taking a nap today took one felt good... then came up to the house we had BLTs for supper tasted good just wish the tomatoes from the store tasted good but regardless it was yummy
Judi it's a misconception that it's hot in Arizona all winter... in Q at least it can get down right cold... one year the oleander's all froze... I have had bird bath's have the water frozen in it... so be prepared... and then other years been warm all winter one never knows do they what the weather will bring
I have noticed that the days are getting shorter not a happy thought..I am a summer person I think diffidently not a winter person and yes I grew up in a big ski area didn't ski either :o
off to mom's tomorrow hopefully this tooth will stay put
you all have a good day
