Barbie, I like that gourd. Very interesting.

Our air quality here in SD has been effected by the fires out west. Today is a tad better than yesterday, but it's amazing the distance that this fires are felt. I hope all of you near can stay safe. It's just devastating and the thought of more lightening strikes... Just so scary.

I'm going to attempt to put together a schedule for the rest of the season today. Should be interesting.

Which way do I run George? I hate all this uncertainty. I am in the cone of uncertainty for both storms. Depending on how close Marco passes to the coast, that storm will be pushing water. If Laura goes in East of here it will be pulling water. I have started picking up stuff in the yard. I haven't talked to the guy with the cows to see what his thoughts are. He will move the cows if there is a chance of a tidal surge.

Yesterday I burned 2 years of tax papers. I need to do that every year when I start a new box.

Good morning! Another smoky day here. Whether virus or smoke, we are staying inside. Beth, hope the remainder of your season goes well. Martha, sure hope those storms are less than expected, do keep us updated. I'm coughing a little from the smoke, as it even seeps into tight houses the news reports say, though we haven't smelled it, I learned long ago, it's the tiny particles you can't see, which get deepest into lungs and cause the most damage. I'm hitting it as prevention, with inhalers I rarely use, but have just for such occasion. At least it's cooled about 10 degrees into 90's in late afternoon. And instead of high 80's by bedtime, it's low 70's or even hgh 60's. wishing all a happy safe Saturday. for many reasons, I'll be glad to see New Years Eve this year and say goodbye to 2020.

I am still amazed at that amount of fires in the state of CA my heart goes out to you all in that beautiful state...
they told us when Yellowstone was burning up so many years ago that it is a good thing many trees do better after a big burn... well sure but!!!! I certainly hope that you have a unexpected rains it's that kind of year a weird year so it could happen and hope that it does... it is amazing that in the monsoon season AZ and NV get lots of rain in a typical year and you guys don't get any that just seems so unfair...
haven't really done much today one of those days I guess. I did do dishes but the laundry fairy is avoiding my house refuses to pack that basket up the hill going to have to give in to it soon!!!
Barbie good looking gourd
one of the reasons I went to the store besides the normal things was it was time for my books to be out but were they NOPE!!! so irritating now I will need to go again next week
my granddaughter is doing better tired from her procedure that really didn't do what it needed to but now they know what they need to do just need to see a specialist and schedule the surgeries one to remove the gall stone and then the gall bladder poor kid... not what you necessarily want to do...
I read an article that may help some on here.... or perhaps not it was for those with asthma and or anxiety it was using rose essential oil in diffusers it helped the lady telling about her experience but also know that it might not help all
you all have a good day

The hurricane coming up from Baja CA will be bringing thunderstorms to CA, but dry storms, no rain. Not a good thing for the wildfire threat. The last thing we need is lightning and no rain. I feel so bad for those in northern CA. One lady had to run at the last minute and lost her home and all her animals; horses, cattle, goats, etc. So horrible!

Candiss and I are just going to see what happens and play it by ear on our plans. She doesn't have a set day to have to leave here or arrive there and so far I am not working, so will take it day by day. I am more worried about the smoke than anything, especially if we get stuck on the freeway if it gets closed. The other route up along the eastern side of the state isn't much better. A couple of new fires along there as well. Also the smoke from the other fires is blowing that way.
