Morning all! If all goes according to plan I'll be almost taking the day off... Only an hour or so shortly, then again this afternoon. It's not supposed to get as hot, but it reached 80 degrees before 8. Looks like we might have some light clouds later on, so maybe comfortable. I'd like to get Ty out for a run.

Off to start my day!

Good morning, it is chilly here this morning. Our weather is pretty crazy it was 102 the other day and now today cloudy and our temp is only supposed to get up to 65. I will take it tho, nice break from the heat.

All our fireworks seem to be cancelled down here but of course there are always the idiots with the illegal fireworks to contend with.

Making salmon patties for dinner tonight. Havent had them for a while so bought a small can of salmon...so I dont overeat LOL

I can't remember the last time I had Salmon Patties. My mother made them often but mine don't come out as good. My son talks about making a tuna casserole. I don't think I have ever made one. Harold liked tuna salad a lot so I made some often. The cats really like for me to open a can of tuna fish. I was digging in the freezer and found a bag of pork ribs. I don't know if I will fry them or bake with BBQ sauce. I really like fried ribs but that is messy. At the rate I'm moving this morning I won't be eating lunch for a long time.

It's already 89 so we are probably headed for the mid 90's. I don't see any rain coming. We ended up getting 3 1/2 inches of rain. After all the rain the fish really weren't bitting yesterday. The ponds are full up to the over flow pipe. I might try to mow later this afternoon. I probably can't mow the lower part of the yard.

I haven't heard from the RV shop yet. I sure hope I get my RV back before Thursday. My sister and I can go to the camp but I don't like to travel without my motorhome. I wouldn't be able to get groceries until I get almost to the lake without the refrigerator. The campground is having a pot luck but I don't know if I will go to that.

Guess I better get dressed and go feed the outside cats. They are gathering on the porch looking for me.

Afternoon all, not much going on in my little corner of the world. I took a long ride to a farm store. It was nice to ride the country roads. I wanted local hydroponic lettuce since I am afraid to eat any in supermarkets. Bought produce, also, half an apple pie and a bag of rain cinnamon scones(oh! my! Goodness). I have a subscription and send ecards. I was trying to decide on one for July 4. My glass is usually half full but guess my subconscious was working. Every card played Star Spangle Banner and I teared up at every one. I have been avoiding news but can’t help being concerned for our country. Maybe it’s an age thing.
Be safe

Beautiful day for driving in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Just saw a billboard that said “Da Yooper’s Tourist Trap Rock Shop — Free Batrooms.” Very funny. Lots of flies around; not sure why. Tonight is campground near Houghton, MI.

No, definitely not an "age thing". My thirty-something children feel the same way. I agree with you. I am extremely concerned for our country.

Was supposed to be cooler today (mid 90's) but I went out on the porch this morning and the heat just about took my breath away! I turned the AC up to close to 80* and it has still been running constantly. They lied! No wind today either like they said we would have. Been cloudy all morning but looks like the sun is coming out now so will be even warmer.

I was looking forward to having my Minibons cinnamon buns this morning so put them on a plate and accidentally dropped the plate on the floor. :o I have a no-second rule for anything hitting my floors (litter box cat paws walking across the floor), so had to throw them out. :(

Watching golf and then Gunsmoke this afternoon. I have 3 days off next weekend and would like to go somewhere but probably not a good time to do that being a holiday weekend. Plus with the Covid cases spiking all over around here, will just stay home.

I agree with Ann, I think many of us, regardless of age, are worried about our future. So many uncertainties right now. :(

It has been really hot and humid here today. I was able to sit out and read for awhile this morning. I get so tired of being inside at least I get a change of scenery if I can walk and sit out. I too worry about our country as the virus explodes.

Sheila, I was wondering about the "rain" scones too. Thought maybe it was a new flavor!

Lol, yes it was raisin scones. I really think age is a problem and it is really irritating.

Yay! I just got the cat face mold I thought was lost in the mail! Now I can finish the cat gourd with that! I am making a small mouse out of a tiny gourd to put next to the cat. I had ordered a different cat face mold but didn't really care for the face design on it. This one is much cuter and happier. :D

Just ordered some socks on Amazon today. Can't find regular ankle socks at Walmart anymore and my old socks are all worn out. Some I've had for many years.
