Sleep In Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sleep In Thursday

Yes, I'm still in bed. Yay! I need this extra sleep! I'll get up shortly, walk Ty and run in the store for about 1/2 an hour or so for a few things that need doing. Then I intend to be a bum.

There's a fire in Custer State Park. :( I'm hoping to hear it's been contained but not finding any new news this morning. It's only 6 miles from Mt Rushmore. Knowing how easily the fire caught and is spreading you'd think the powers that be would reconsider the Mt Rushmore fireworks. But I don't see that happening. Sad.

Ok time to get my day started. Have s good one!

We were up early because the repairmen were supposed to pick up the fans. But they had an emergency so didn't come. But told us we could turn them off and move them out of the way. The will pick them up tomorrow. Also had a Walmart delivery at 8 a.m. Got everything and no substitutions.
Also had to order all our meds for the next 90 days.
Mostly I'm just trying to rearrange stuff so it doesn't look so cluttered in here and so we can find things. Guess it will be like this for a few weeks before all the floors and cabinets are replaced. At least it breaks the boredom of being stuck home.
We have the RV out front cause the stove in house is unplugged and when fans were running electricity to microwave and lights went out. Sure glad it happened while we were home and not gone on a trip somewhere.
I am finding a lot of stuff that was in cupboards that can be thrown out. So thats good.
And that is all the excitement around here - hot and windy like a blow dryer outside Cases of virus are on rise here in Vegas, so no more going to grocery stores for a while.

Another hot day for us so I was out early to do a little trimming on a couple of bushes. Took Emma for a long walk and stopped at our community dog park on the way back and she got to play with a couple of other pups for a bit. Came home and watered everything well. Threw a couple dog beds in the washer then set them outside to dry. Swept the front patio off and felt it was warming up quickly outside so came in and closed up the house. It will keep somewhat cool until the AC comes on later this afternoon. I run my AC about 76° with a box fan on in the living room, keeps it very comfortable.

Almost time to have some lunch. Think a salad sounds very good in this heat. Bought some raspberries and blackberries so will have them for dessert with a little whipped cream. What I really want is a big ole juicy cheeseburger and fries LOL oh and maybe a milkshake.....yes in my dreams.

Karen, a milk shake sounds good. There's a place near me that makes them in soooo many flavors. I might have to get one some day soon.
