Is it Thursday already....

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Is it Thursday already....

To quote Echo, where is everyone?? Can't believe I've first in the kitchen, and the kitchen is empty! OMG, there's no food yet either....only Diet Cokes! For me that works, but don't know about you other gals! Severe storms predicted today for many of us. I hope all will be safe. Maybe someone else will have FOOD!

I have to admit, I got to the kitchen early yesterday and didn't post. I didn't want to open shop two days in a row, much too much pressure for someone who doesn't drink coffee and doesn't bake!!!! Brought my Diet Coke and I am on my way. Just some toast with Blueberry jam...:) I promise to pick up some cereal and sweets from Krogers to leave in the cabinets to share. Have been sleeping in the recliner next to the whelping box in the office to keep an eye on the babies and Mom. (It does help with the sinus drainage.) Blondie gets over active and wants to stir all the bedding and next thing you know she will cover one pup by accident and then wonder where that squeaking is coming from. She is used to her evening routine which includes bunking in with all the guys. Though she doesn't want any of them coming into the office, part of her thinks she should follow them to bed in the other room...... Right now she is rolled over onto her back sleeping - all her glory showing, in case one of the "poopers" should get hungry. I get tired just watching how much time she spends feeding their hollow legs..... Does sort of remind me of my first born....he couldn't go over 1 and 1/2 hour before he would want to nurse again......Good thing I didn't go into multiples.....
Have a wonderful, good day! Echo, we all all sending you good thoughts and prayers to make it through the next few weeks.......just keep moving, you will make it to the Rim!!!!!

Good Morning all.

I actually managed to get up in time to bring a few goodies for breakfast - warm gingerbread with lemon glaze and several small bowls of fruit including strawberries, kiwi, plumbs, oranges and dates. I rarely bake but must admit that gingerbread is good.

The weather was great yesterday but I did not get an opportunity to photograph the dogwoods and all other things currently blooming around north AL.

Nicky got his bath and at least for a short while is all clean and fluffy.

My doctor app't went well except for fact I now have a number of tests to get past; a mammogram on Friday, ultrasound for gall bladder problem on the 13th and ENT to check sinuses on the 15th. Some days I feel like everything is falling apart in my body. On the brighter side, I'm doing a bit better at walking without dragging one foot and I've lost a couple of pounds.

Forecast is for storms later today, potentially severe. However, for the moment, it looks petty nice out. Need to get Nicky up and outside before rain. He refuses to leave the porch in rain most of the time.

Wishing each of you fun adventures for the day.

Good Morning, everyone!

It's another gloomy and windy day here in NW Tennessee! Lotus, you must be having the same kind of yuck weather in middle Tennessee??! I have some unsweet tea here if anybody wants a glass.

I learned that Southerners like their sweet tea brewed with the sugar dissolved in the hot water. We didn't do it that way up north - we just stirred the sugar in the cold tea and had most of it settle in the bottom! Something to be said for the Southern way, eh? I came up with a method to only have to brew one batch to satisfy both kinds of tea drinkers - I put sugar in the food processer and let 'er rip. It comes out a SUPER fine sugar, which dissolves much more easily in cold liquid. I keep it in the sugar bowl and it's just fine.

I wish the rain would stop because I usually drive across the yard to get the trailer into the driveway so I can work on it. Can't do it because the ground is too wet. If I backed up our driveway with the trailer (300'), I believe it would take most all day, if ever, to be successful. Backing up is NOT my strong point. I just can't seem to get the hang of it!! Grrrrrrrr...and I built a new PVC low-rise satellite dish mount for the trailer and I'm anxious to try it out!

So, everyone stay warm, dry and safe today. Echo, travel well. I'm sure you'll have adventures to tell us.

Michelle

PS: Here's a pic of the sat dish mount: (yes, that is a vodka/grapefruit in celebration of my accomplishment and it was yesterday evening, not this morning! :D )

Mornin everyone. Need coffee bad. Wind finally calm (for now). Think I should stock up on seasick pills. I'm off today and tomorrow. Found out how out of shape I really am - all my muscles ache from all the bending and stretching to clean. By the end of the summer I should be in good shape (I hope). The owners here, Jim and Jackie, are really nice and keep telling me how happy they are to have me. Am starting to look forward to Beth and Sparkle coming around the 12th. We're going to the Wolf sanctuary. Anyone else nearby? Well, time to go walk the dogs.

Good Morning! Aaaah on my first cup of coffee but ready for another lol. Today is weed pulling day....do not want the goat head stickers coming up in the yard ,they pop my tires of my bike!! Before we leave we will spray the yard with bleach so it will kill the weeds and they will not come back up. This year ALOT of weeds popped up!
Went to the foot doctor on Tuesday, I have Morton's Neuroma in both feet but mostly in my left foot. Tired of constantly in pain and hurts to play on the Wii barefoot. Hey have lost 6 lbs since starting the Wii on Feb 13th!! Anyway the doc put a injection of Alcohol in each foot to calm down the nerves in my feet......too bad I just can't get drunk and it will go away! LOL

Was windy last night and a Bat decided to make a stop over to the corner of our patio ceiling last night. Interesting how they hold onto the stucco upside down. I got some photo's of him or her and then turned the lights of the porch off to give it privacy. They eat bugs and flys so I like the bats! :D

Oh I love wolves, have fun at the Wolf Sanctuary, there is one in Tenino WA that someday I want to go visit.
Ok my turn on the Wii!

What I loved when I was in Louisiana was that locals there ordered their tea "sweet" or "unsweet." I adore regional differences!

Oh, and good morning, everyone. I have fresh-baked banana bread from last night & leftover coffee. But it's all good. I like to add lots of banana chunks (more than the recipe calls for). Mmmmm.

Yup - first time I ordered tea and they asked, I said, "Huh?". Same question for slaw - mayonnaise or vinegar (southern distinction)...

G'morning everyone! I added a tray of cut melons, leftover from my son's visit yesterday. He was up from Victoria to celebrate his birthday early (it is today).

Made a big soup tureen cake (that 4 minute special one LOL) and would share that but he ate it all for breakfast before he left yesterday LOL!! It was great!!

Today I am celebrating for another reason. It snowed yesterday morning in honour of April Fool's I guess but I went and took my motorcycle test anyway and PASSED it!! Who woulda thunk LOL? Now I truly am a motorcycle momma tee hee!!

Have a good day everyone and enjoy the fruit. There is a sweet yoghurt dip there too...
