And It's Friday

No Custer SP yesterday. I lost track of time and needed to be available to cover someone, possibly, in the store on the afternoon. Today is cold and rain is coming. It looks like rain is possible all weekend. I had to turn my heater on. The cold shouldn't last beyond today.

Yesterday I did take Ty to the cemetery to run off leash. He needs those runs.

The park my casita is at in Arizona is staying closed to the public, possibly to mid-October. While Arizona is spiking, that park and immediate area is staying virus free to date. There are cases here in SD, but the county I'm in is going up. And I expect it to go way up after the July 3rd Mt Rushmore fireworks and presidents visit. I'm not going anywhere near those crowds.

Ah, yes. Cold weather. How cold is it?

Cold weather for us Northern California central valley residents is now but a distant memory, right Velda?

Looking at Weather.gov (the U. S. government weather forecasting site) looks like the temps in my area will be 100 - 106 +/- degrees every day over the seven days, and possibly beyond.

I am ramping up my creaky old central-vac A.C. If it craps out, I am toast. Literally. :o

Yes cool is a relative term in summere here. At just after 11:30 am it's 90 and rising. Reliable AC is pretty much a necessity here. Going to be a hot week ahead. But, having been a Northern Californian pretty much my whole life after age 5 (and before that a Southern Californua baby), it's all part of life here, halfway between San Francisco and the Pacific ocean and the majestic Sierras. Basically in about 75 to 100 miles west or east, one can completely change the view and climate year around. I'm not happy with the government in CA these days, but I love my diverse state.
Waiting to hear from handyman, who may have a slow start to his day, having partied last night for his birthday, but hope final touches on rear 2 decks is near. Since he's only here between bigger jobs, I am patient.
We are off to a roaring start with fire season with most days in red flag conditions. Today with high temps, humidity heading to single digits, and breezes moving my trees, it's ripe for grass fires. Hopefully people are careful! My 3/4 acres is cut to within a couple inches as most is not watered.
Happy travels, happy camping, have a good rest of your day.
Velda

It was 57 degrees in my rv this morning. High today predicted to be only 61. And cloudy. And rain. Those two factors make it downright cold for June! I don't mind the cold mornings, makes for good sleeping. And I'll take these colder days occasionally because we rarely hit the 90's here. But... this year we're getting both. :o Crazy weather.

So I treated myself and ran to the neighboring towns grocery store for some fried chicken wings. Yum.

I was just talking with a customer today about how diverse the climate is out here and the options we have so close by to cool off or warm up. He and I both moved out here from the Midwest and back there in the winter, your only option to get away from the cold is to go to the airport and fly somewhere warmer. I am thinking about driving an hour up to Idyllwild tomorrow for the day to hike in the forest and get some fresh air and a mood enhancement! :D

Hi ladies!

On the east coast of NC, it is 75, we had a high of 80, and going down to 65 tonight. We've had afternoon showers almost everyday since we've been here, so no fires here.

Steve and I are having homemade scalloped potatoes and crab imperial for dinner. It smells wonderful and wish some of you were closer so we could share it with you.
