Good Morning all! The temperatures yesterday finally made it feel like we could be getting to summer. This spring has been chilly and wet all around. Sadly with the return of the heat I was reminded that, like Beth, my body doesn't not function well in heat anymore. At least it doesn't function when there is any laboring involved. Sigh.....

We have a new puppy here at the house today. Pictures to follow eventually. Last night when I got back from Cindy's it started pouring down rain as I hit the driveway. I set up the x-pens on the patio and put the sun screens (bird protection, also) over the top in the rain. Unfortunately the jacket I grabbed was more of a wind breaker than a rain coat. I was soaked to my underwear. As I was encouraging the puppy to potty in the evening and again before bedtime, in the rain each time, I questioned the wisdom of my expectations. So far I have not run out to purchase the pellets for the potty pan that all the puppies have been using. I keep reminding myself that this too shall pass and it will pass a lot quicker if I do the labor now. She was dry all night and is currently sleeping in her crate without fussing after playing this morning. The theme of the litter is "Look" so I am off to search the internet for songs, poems, movies that have the work "look" in them...... Don't have to be back to that working remote thing until Tuesday. This feels good. The contract should be completed with in a week and a half so I can suck it up that long. The summer will stretch out before me after that. No dog shows to speak of and not counting on being able to travel. Kayaking is still on board and other fun projects.

Stay healthy and make some big or small adventures whenever and where ever you can!

Oh boy, a new puppy. That should keep you moving in this strange time. I would probably go stir crazy without all the cats and dog to keep me busy. I moved the cat food to the big bathroom because the dog was trying to climb up to the cat food. That makes it challenging to try to take a shower and get dressed with two cats camped out on the bath mat. Moving the cat food has changed their sleeping habit. Instead of three trying to sleep with me some nights I don't have any. Stinky and Pinky had taken to hanging out on the porch all day. Since the temperatures are back in the 90's they moved back in the air conditioning. They are the big Maine Coon fur balls.

The radar doesn't show any rain but it's cloudy and I felt some sprinkles when I went out. We are suppose to have rain for the next week. It's probably going to be another do nothing day. I should move the motorhome out and see if I can get the satellite to work with the new receiver.

Tina, you got your work cut out for you with a puppy! But you know that already! Have fun! Can't wait to see pics! Does the word "look" need to be part of his/her show name?

The church I attend is more spiritual than religious and is based on the Law of Attraction. I just finished watching todays service and the message really hit home with me. It was about just what we were talking about yesterday with how to deal with negative messages from the past that we still have playing in our minds. How important the words that we speak are, both good and bad. The message was from the book "The Four Agreements" and was dealing with the first agreement: being impeccable with your words. Interestingly, when I bought this house a year ago, the previous owner had left a small tray on the bed with a couple little nic nacs and the book "The Four Agreements" on it. I was familiar with the book but had never read it. I still have the book and now I need to read it.

Maya gets warm easily and likes to find cooler places to lay. I have a memory gel pillow that feels cool all the time and she has really taken to it to sleep on. I think I will order one for her (so I can have mine back!). She is still very bitey and has bitten my face a few times. It is very frustrating! She is probably teething and trying to burn off energy too. Sometimes tho, she will charge at my face and then lick me. I try to really encourage the licking over the biting. Now she has settled down and is laying on my shoulder with her head against my face, purring. :D She is so funny to watch in the litter box! She digs with both paws before and after going, like she is digging to China! She tries to be so good about finding the right spot and covering it up really good. I just wish she would learn to not step in it before she gets it covered!

Need to do some cleaning around here today (me and the house) and then will go to my friends place for our mini BBQ GTG. They decided to do it at two homes across from each other so there won't be so many in each place, like just 4 at each. I know pretty much everyone that will be there so that will be fun. I will probably spend time at each place.

Have a good day! :D

congratulations on the new puppy can't wait to see pictures... gathered together at the cemetery was so good to see all we tried to keep or distance although probably not 6 feet apart either... but we were outside and a breeze was blowing... I didn't hug my mom when I saw her then my nephew when he got there gave her a hug and I said I guess if the dr can so can we  he said he was careful to breath over her though... then as we were getting ready to depart someone came up and said hello Moulton cousins... she literally had to introduce herself as I couldn't remember who she was it's been in forever since I've seen her... in fact probably at her dad's funeral and he died in 2008 but so nice to see her once we knew who she was
came home read scriptures and then a nap then I was going to fix supper but we decided that the hello fresh needed to be used up first we can make the pesto chicken tomorrow or next day... not sure how much longer the basel will last though so we should do it soon.
it's been a good day loved seeing my family

Our little party was fun! At the one I went to, there were only 3 of us since two others thought the party was tomorrow. Probably a good thing one of them didn't make it since she is battling lung cancer right now and shouldn't be around anyone in her condition. The party next door had about 7 people there at one point but they were on a large deck. It was very hot and no wind but we had a couple fans blowing. Had a great meal and of course lots of leftovers. My fried rice dish was a big hit. I have a little bit I brought back home with me, along with some mini cupcakes I had brought too. It was just nice to be able to sit and chat with some friends.

I found out I missed the big charity golf tournament between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, that were both paired up with famous football players. I have been excited about seeing that and just didn't realize it was being played today. Hopefully, it is on You Tube or some other place that is replaying it so I can watch it.

Have a good night...

You know how we sometimes get the day wrong....I realized this morning that I had the month wrong! I edited and changed the 4 to a 5. This spring it has been enough to move through only once.....

Tina, you're too funny! But I have to admit that I never noticed the error, so had you not said anything, I wouldn't have known the difference.
