Morning All, Decided to shop senior hours today. My internal clock woke me at 5:30am
I hate getting up early. Very few people in the store. No wonder, very little on the shelves. Did get milk, eggs and ice cream.
There is always tomorrow. Stay safe
Cooler Tuesday!

Good morning gals!
I opened up my bedroom windows last night and so glad I did. It was windy out and the nice cool breeze blew over me all night! Ahhh! So refreshing! Two days in the 80's before it goes back up to the 90's again. Will enjoy it while it lasts!
Hopefully will get to my dishes today! I got the living room cleaned up yesterday. Still have a couple loads of laundry to do too. I am not good at multi-tasking so if I try to do two things at a time, one or both of them falls by the wayside somewhere along the way.
Have a good day!

(Gasp!) Do you mean to say that you don't do your dishes
immediately after you finish eating?? I'm shocked, I tell you,
shocked.
Well. . . join the club. I have hated doing dishes my entire life, for reasons known to me that I'll not get into here. Heh. Three days is about my limit - that, or when the kitchen begins to smell a bit 'ripe'.
Whichever comes first. . .

I'm hoping for a large-ish Walmart grocery delivery this morning. Hope the shelves at my local Walmart are not as bare as the shelves at your local market.
I have had pretty good results with Walmart grocery delivery thus far.
Wish me luck on this one.

HAve been back working from my computer here at home for the second week now. Should have two more additional weeks. I went yesterday and donated blood for the first time in forever. I forgot that the needles they use for blood donations are larger than the tiny ones they use on me for routine blood draws. I have been told by the professional that I have small veins and like to roll. Only took two sticks and a change of arms. I never direct them to one over the other but always suggest they look and decide for themselves. It may be the last time though. I was really wiped out last night even through the night. Much better this morning.
The correct replacement window for the rig has finally come in and I am scheduled to drive it back down after work. I am looking forward to being able to actually put it out there on the market.
Take care, sneeze into your elbow and wash your hands......
And Barbie, I can tell you that I would never be able to move to your area of the country....I would not survive the heat.....

HA HA I do my dishes as soon as they are dirty LOL I like washing dishes in nice hot soapy water. I have a dishwasher but only use it once a month because I have to in order to keep it lubed they said.
My gardener Jose brought my tree I purchased this morning, and he picked it up for me yesterday. He planted it and put the pavers around it, I think I am going to really like it.
Weather today is cool 62 and an occasional sprinkle. I see some dark clouds coming so we might get more rain yet.

I remember standing on a hassock to wash dishes so was very young. I hate washing dishes so use the dishwasher all the time. If I didn’t have a dishwasher I would use paper plates or eat out of the pot.

Shirl, using the hassock brings back lots of memories of doing dishes, but I would kneel on a kitchen chair to do the dishes. I don't like using paper plates, there's too much stuff in our landfills, so always use dishes. Depending on how many dishes need to be washed will decide if I wash by hand or use the dishwasher.

Washing dishes, I never leave them. I remember standing on a stool when I was little washing dishes. The worst part was heating the water on the coal stove. I couldn't fill the kettle very full because then I couldn't lift it so I ended up with cold greasy dishwater. Now I never fill a sink with water to wash dishes. I use the dishwasher or leave the water running while I wash them with a soapy sponge. When I think back to when we were little, coal stoves, no indoor bathroom I wonder how we lived! I was 7 or 8 when we got an indoor bathroom but it was a few years later when we got a hot water heater. It sure beat that galvanized wash tub by the coal stove in the kitchen. Yes, I always take showers now!!

Years ago I found the Flylady. I guess she has a web site. I still get her emails but seldom read them any more. I was trying to do a better job of cleaning house. Her big thing was shining the sink. I don't shine it anymore but seldom leave dishes in the sink overnight. I usually wash things as I cook. I should run the dishwasher more but then I would have to find a place to put the things that live in there. lol I remember my brother and I standing on stools washing dishes. We spilled some water on the floor and thought it would be a good idea to poor more water on the floor and skate around the kitchen. One of our more memorable spankings. We didn't do that again.
I always liked driving through East Texas in the spring when the Dogwood trees and Redbud trees are in bloom. I tried planting a Redbud one time but it died. I tried for several years to get some blueberry bushes to grow but they never made it.
I had to go to Walmart twice today. The vet gave me a coupon for a prescription I needed for the dog. I went to see if Walmart would take it and had to call the vet's office to call the prescription in. I figured that would take a while so started home. Before I got out of town I got a text from Walmart and had to go pick up the prescription. The shot he gives Annie for her allergies is a miracle. She is back to her ding bat self, clearing my desk with her tail and jumping on the arm of my chair and catching my arm instead of the chair. She doesn't walk anywhere, she is alway flying around the house. The next time my son comes I am going to get him to hold her and try to trim her nails.
Tina, good luck selling your motorhome. I don't know if now will be a good time with all that is going on. Some of my friends want to go camping in Morgan City in a couple of weeks. That might be too close to New Orleans for me. I need to look up that parish and see what the number of cases is. Morgan City has a big Mardi Gras celebration and they might be in the same shape as New Orleans. The governor is lifting some of the restrictions on Friday. I looked on the state park web site but they didn't say when they would open up camping.
I should have mowed today but I was too busy going to town. It is suppose to start raining tomorrow and rain for the next 10 days. Maybe I can get it done in the morning.

I had to laugh Anne I too ignore my dishes until I can't anymore... partly because in theory anyway I try to not put as much water into the tank and if I do a small batch of dishes I habitually use the same amount as I would if it was a large batch... so if I am using the same amount of water might as well do the larger batch
in my mind it makes sense... now if I was hooked up to a dump I would like to think I'd do better but wouldn't swear to it..when I had a stick and brick I think I tried to do better... oh well guess it's my mess right??
went to get on the internet last night and couldn't ... the mifi turned on partly then guess froze... cause I couldn't get it off or any further on... so no internet which meant not interacting here... one misses it when not able to...I do wish that those who only lurk would check in once in awhile and let us know that they ok.. so took the devise up to the house today one of dd's took the battery out waited a bit then put the battery back in and it worked... yea for smart dd's so back in business of being on the internet.
we did a roast the hot dogs and smores' tonight ... not overly a marshmallow person unless it's creme in the hot chocolate and a smore or roasted to perfection golden brown and melty all the way through
melty is by the way not a recognized word in spell check
the past two days have been cloudy windy not bad but more than I want to be out in so have read more that I should but it is what I wanted to do perhaps tomorrow will want to do more than just sit and read but it's suppose to rain so not sure that I will do more than I've done... oh well we will see... with both girls working from home I try not to spend much time up at the house during "working hours"
you all take care

My mom was a stickler for doing dishes every night before she went to bed. I apparently didn't get that gene from her!
I did get her clutter gene tho!
I have some news...check out the pet page!
Winds calmed down all day but picked up again tonight so hopefully, I can open the windows again. Was a pretty comfortable day temp wise and low humidity.
Had a small quake tonight, barely noticeable. 3.2 about 30 miles west of me. Same area as the ones a few weeks ago. Probably the same fault line as the ones south of here a couple days ago. Not the San Andreas, luckily.
Good night!
