We're just having light flakes in Keystone but news shows more than 4 inches north of us. A couple hours and it'll be over. I think I just had to get snow here once. Hopefully this will be it. :)

Time to get moving. Happy Sunday all.

Glad that you arrived safely and may it remain as safe as circumstances and good sense allow! Let the SD summer begin.

Glad you made it safely. Sorry you are having a few snowflakes though. But as you say, it will pass. Time to stdrt getting resdy for the summer, whatever it brings.

Many of you know from watching the news, the there has been a lot of protesting going on in our State Capital. I know that those people don't speak for the majority of us. Just came across an excellent column by Mitch Albom, that sums it all up perfectly. It is posted in General Talk if you are interested.

Beth, glad you made it to keystone. It hard to imagine snow when it's 87 here. We got about 2 inches of rain last night. It stormed for a little while. They were predicting baseball size hail so I backed the motorhome into the shed as far as I could. I haven't heard if there was any damage and the hail went just North of here. It looks like we have more rain coming. There is a red box just to the West and a couple in North Louisiana.

I took some chicken out of the freezer to cook with BBQ sauce. At the rate I'm moving it will be dinner instead of lunch.

The next campout planned with my Louisiana group is May 7. It's at a big campground so I'm not going to make reservations until just before the campout if I decide to go. The mayor of Lafayette is starting to open up businesses there. There are a lot more cases of the virus over there so think I will stay in my own parish.

Beth, Glad you & your co-workers arrived safely. Sounds like Ty is enjoying being there again.
Sheila, It was nice that you got a visit from your kids. And ice cream too! :)
Anne, these are indeed 'interesting' times.
Martha, Like you, I thought yesterday was Sunday - so weird... It just felt like Sunday. :?

Well, I did it! I'm now retired! Friday was my last day.
I was able to wrap up a project I'd been working on so that confirmed that the timing was right. It's a little unreal that I don't need to get my work laptop out & set up for tomorrow, but I am up to the challenge! Looking forward to my first week without an alarm, without meetings, without untangling technical challenges & being able to go out for a walk whenever Sadie & I feel like it. It should take at least a few days before I get bored.

I'll get the kids when my DIL resumes working in mid-May so I won't have too much time to relax but at least I won't have to worry about tending to work & the grands at the same time.

Well, thats it for now.. think I'll just go & do nothing for the rest of the day.
Take care & be safe.

Catherine, congratulations on your retirement! You won't regret it for a minute!

Beth, so glad you're in Keystone. Wish it wasn't so cold.

Sheila, you are the woman for pulling for fifth wheel hither and yon!

Martha, do whatever makes you comfortable, as far as camping and meeting up with friends.

Steve & I are looking at possibly buying a property to put our motorhome on. I've contacted a couple places and will wait to see if they get back with us. It's crazy to keep paying the rent that goes up each year and word has it, that prices could increase here every 6 months. So it's time to look around and see if we can find a decent size lot that either has or allows a casita. We'll see what our next phase in life is.

Congratulations Catherine! You will find all sorts of things to do with your extra time. There is a lot to do in SoCal!

I am hoping to retire in 3 years altho I will probably still have to work part-time for awhile after that. Would be nice to take summers off and be able to travel north for a few months. A lot depends on how things go with our economy in the next few years too. I paid off most of my debt so that helps and will be busy once I get back to work. I want to be completely out of debt in the next year or so.

Didn't get much done today. I seem to always have a lazy day after a day of getting things done. The weather has been very nice the past week but will start getting hot now, in the mid to upper 90's. Getting into early summer temps already.

Still waiting to get some things delivered for my gourd project. Things are taking longer now to get delivered. Even with Amazon Prime, they are not guaranteeing 2 day shipments for non-essential items. One item I ordered from Etsy and is coming from China so who knows when that will arrive. It will all get here when it gets here. :)

Have a good night!
