Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day even though we are not going to be with friends or family, dining out or whatever. I truly believe this day is the beginning of rebirth for this country, we will overcome this virus and emerge a different people.
I’m going to spend the day relaxing and hopefully if the rain doesn’t come too soon, will take a nice walk with the dogs. I got done what I wanted to do yesterday for the POA and tk the dogs for a nice walk in the woods, where they got to run free.
BJ, my cousin can sympathize with you, in that her husband won’t stay home either. She’s decided to quit getting mad at him and just live with it.
Off to get a bite of breakfast here. Stay safe especially those in the path of storms today.

Woke up to a beautiful sunrise here in Vegas this morning. Today would have been my Mom's 101 birthday. We need to get out walking a lot - both of u s are starting to stiffen up. And it really seems to improve my attitude when I've taken a walk.
Happy Easter to every one and their families

My neighbor is mad at her husband too because he won't stay home. He and his grandson were loading a calf in a trailer this morning. Where do you go with a cow on Easter Sunday? lol
It looks like the bad weather is going across North Louisiana. We just have a lot of wind. They are so hard up for something to put on TV they are showing golf reruns.
Guess I'll have to take a walk too. About the only good thing about me wearing the Garmin Vivofit is that I know when I haven't been doing enough. It gets me out on the road.
I'm trying to think of something to do with a ham slice besides just heat it. I might put some brown sugar on it and heat it in the oven.
Have a good Easter.
Martha

Did my grocery shopping. Only thing I did not get was frozen orange juice. I like the cans of frozen OJ because it takes up less space until I need it. Big cartons take up too much room in my refrigerator. I did get some bread flour, but it was actually Arrowhead Mills Organic Unbleached Flour, but the fine print said it was made from hard red wheat, which is really the wheat used in bread flour. I suspect it was still on the shelves because no one knew what it was. I also got a jar of "bread machine yeast" which was basically yeast according to the label! Also got two more 4-packs of RV toilet paper. Those rolls are so small that they go fast!
I had a horrible night with little sleep--don't know why, except it was hot, and I should have run the AC a bit more. I probably did not sleep more than a couple of hours, so I think it is time right now for a short nap. I almost never nap, but I am really almost dozing off right now.
High supposed to be 89 today, but dropping to 80 and below for the next week. Supposed to rain in the early morning, and this area really could use it, especially this new RV park with newly planted grass. It looks as if it will rain all week, but I don't have much to do outside anyway, so that is fine with me. Everything is so dry here I am sure the plants and animals will appreciate it.

I just checked the weather channel and we are under a Tornado Watch. I am in the very bottom, back part of the red box. I just looked out the back door and there is a flock of cattle egrets standing in the pasture behind me. They are all facing South. Hope they don't know something I don't.

Happy Easter. I've spent the last few hours looking up and listening to Steve Goodman and John Prine songs and I watched/listened to a half hour recording of John Prine and others talking about Steve Goodman. I had so many of those memories they shared. So it's been a great and also bittersweet few hours. Now both of them are gone.
Everything on my to-do list for the last few days are things I only need to do before leaving. So tomorrow I'll get those done as the day progresses. I even think I'll pull my rig up far enough to sneak my car behind it and hook it up. I'm sure I have the space. I'm sure someone here will see it and think I'm nuts. But I want to drive pretty far Tuesday and since I'm not a morning person I'd rather sleep in a little and have next to nothing to do in the morning to leave except unplug and set the cars ignition properly.
Take care and stay safe!

Beth, I wish we could hook up the car in our site, but the folks behind us put a shed in, so there's only several feet between their shed and the back of our RV. So that's not gonna happen. But since it's the two of us, we enjoy the space we have and I love my big kitchen. We'll be back here for at least another winter but with the prices jumping up every year, wondering what we're going to do. Right now, I don't want to think about that, but lots of people want to do what we're doing so we need to decide long and hard how much more of our savings we want to deplete to do this. But we will NOT stay in MD, VA, NC or SC. The sites here are very large, comparatively speaking and that's hard to give up, too. Oh me, oh my. We'll think on it another winter and see where we're going, because we will be going somewhere. The east coast of FL is very expensive and the west coast not so much. I play for a church in the middle of the state and may have to give that up if we relocate. I appreciate anyone's input...sure could use it at this point.

Irmi, I'm lucky... I can back my car between my rig and casita and move my rig up to fit the car behind. My site is on a ledge, higher than the site behind, so pulling the car through would never work.
I never thought I'd purchase a site like I ended up doing. And I wouldn't do it in a park that could raise rates ridiculously annually. This SKP coop is wonderful for me. Even if I'm frustrated that some here aren't taking this virus seriously. Good luck finding something that will work for you for multiple years... Without breaking the bank.

Good Easter evening!
I wrote a post yesterday and when I sent it, I got an error message and couldn't get back on this site for awhile after.
I have just been watching gourd videos and spent some time organizing my gourd tools and supplies. I tried out my new wood burner and it works much better. I just need to practice to get more steady so I can make smoother and straighter lines.
It has been sunny the past two days but last night the wind came up so strong and fast that I thought we were having another earthquake! It was extremely windy all night and I had a huge pile of dried palm fronds in my driveway and in the street from one of my palm trees. The wind died down to a nice breeze later in the day but now is just ferocious again tonight. I heard a loud bang outside and ran out to see what it was. Didn't find anything so it was probably a large palm frond hitting the roof. Luckily, they aren't too heavy. The maintenance crew will be busy tomorrow cleaning up all those things laying around. I piled mine up by the street but they have since gotten blown around all over again.
One lady here put up some egg shaped signs all over the park with cute uplifting messages on them and then asked everyone to go around to find them, and post photos of the ones we found. I found a few of them but I wasn't really looking for them. I went to do haircuts for the couple who have helped me out so much around my place. They both are still working and needed to look less shaggy. We had a nice chat for a couple hours on their deck afterward.
I watched church on-line this morning which was a nice service. I think this situation with the virus is a good example of a "death" of the old attitudes, etc, and a rebirth of new attitudes, perspectives, and priorities for the future.
Hope you all had a good Easter!

Martha, today was supposed to be the final day of the Masters Golf Tournament which is one of the biggest PGA tournaments played each year. Since they postponed it until next November this year, they replayed last year's tournament today which Tiger Woods won (for the 5th time). I just caught the last 10 minutes of it because I didn't know they were gonna replay that. Wish I would have known about it or I would have watched the whole thing today. I watch that religiously every year!
