Good morning to All - Guess I'm up early enough to open this. We have a fresh pot of coffee and some coffee cake.
The sun just beginning to come up over the desert behind us.

I spent part of yesterday trying to make decent face masks. More to keep me occupied then anything. Now I am reading it is probably a good idea to wear them when outside. Such a strange world we are living in now. By the fourth one I'd finally figured out which one I liked and how to easily sew it. So will do more today.
I want to grab all my children and bring them here and lock them up. The oldest 62 has heart failure, the second one lives alone, one has a comprised immune system - but a very good wife and the youngest lives alone. Like I tell Bill you never stop being a mommy.
We are getting our food delivered worked great with Smiths Market, today we get a delivery from Walmart - I ordered other things besides groceries wonder how that will work. We managed to pick up 90 days supply of prescriptions at the drive through. So all set there as we have cancelled all doctors appointments.
I went for a walk around our community yesterday and felt so much better after I came home. So think I'll do that again today. Only saw three other people out, a couple on bikes who stayed on other side of street from me and one man walking his dog - also on other side of street, did exchange a few words with him shouting.
I am still amazed with what cannot be obtained in the stores. I would think by now everyone would have all their cupboards and freezers full. Where are they putting everything. We still have not been able to get things we need after returning empty from Mexico.
(I cannot believe how many times I touch my face!)
We are getting three meals a week delivered from Hello Fresh. So eating different things then what I would make. Yesterday we had pasta with a truffle cream sauce, very, very good. Never had truffles before.

Good morning Carol from the east coast. No sunshine this morning for us, so no gardening for me. Really need to get my free weights out. I turned my house over to my son a few years ago, and I have life use. Really wasn’t sure if that was the best thing to do, but now I know it was the right decision. As a mother, I understand the desire to gather your chicks.
Like Bill, I touch my face, and I constantly wash my hands with soap. Enjoy your new foods. Peggy

Good morning Carol and all who follow.
I didn't check in on Wednesday so doing it now. March was definitely a different month.
I remain well and safe after leaving Arizona City on the 17th. I headed west to Yuma then north to near Borego Springs in California, all in an attempt to stay warm as I make my way to Canada for the Summer. I made it as far as Pahrump, Nevada where I have been since the 23rd. I extended my stay here until after Easter as it is still snowing and cold in Idaho and Montana. The RV park here is extremely quiet with all activities cancelled and community use buildings closed, only the 3 laundry rooms remain open and the staff is sanitizing them hourly. I am very impressed with their attention to cleanliness at this time. I try to do laundry at off times and it has been working.
I found a large fenced in dog run in Parhump so Joey gets his daily RUN, along with his multiple walks with me. I need to take a video of him. For those that have met him he is still the running fool.
Wow! This turned into a book.

I went to the store yesterday about 11am and it wasnt very busy at all. The cashier said they are super busy between 8-10am. There was plenty of stuff on the shelves. Lots of meat, chicken, bread, cheese, dairy, eggs, vegetables canned and frozen. They even had some toilet paper and paper towels. Also had flour but no bread flour. I have a bag but not making anything right now. Trying to start eating out of my freezer. Chicken wings today with Chipotle sauce. I didnt need much and I didnt dilly dally. It took me longer to disinfect everything than to buy.

We quit playing Mexican train a couple of weeks ago. I miss it but better to be safe than sorry and this wont last forever. Was a real nice afternoon yesterday so my neighbor and I took Emma and we went for a nice long walk visiting along the way. Everyone is keeping a respectable distance away from each other.

I am needing a haircut...........oh well. Me and plenty of other people, will just make it work for now. Another nice day so far so might work in my raised beds. I have a couple bags of fertilizer and compost so time to get that worked in and ready for planting next month.

Afternoon here in Northern Michigan. Sun is shining, temps heeding upward towad that 60 mark Was same yesterday.

Keping busy gere with spring cleaning, living room done yesterday. One room a day is my limit. Still having some minor issues with right leg, so pace myself. Today I’m out in the yard with the leaf blower, cleaning up the winter debris. Already ran a big batch of recycles up to the bins and dump my bags out. Will take the girls for a walk later.

Karen, I hear ya on the hair. Will be taking scissors to mine any dsy now. When this is over, hair stylists a d barbers are going to become very rich all of a sudden We will all be lined up waiting for hair cuts.

Lunch and break time over. Back to work.....

My parish has a D- grade for social distancing so guess I get a D- too. I went to Lowe's, Walmart, the gas station and post office yesterday. Lowe's parking lot had a lot of cars. It looks like everyone is either gardening or remodeling. Walmart had everything I wanted except frozen pie shells. They had milk and plenty of cheese but no eggs. There was a lot of beef, probably because it's so expensive. Not a lot of pork and some chicken. They even had toilet paper but I haven't seen any Clorox wipes or Lysol since this started.

I picked up an order of boiled crawfish. Eating boiled crawfish is usually a social thing so felt strange to be eating it alone. Yesterday was a good day to get crawfish. There was only one car ahead of me and they pick up the trash on Friday morning so not long for the shells to stink. Boiled crawfish comes with some small potatoes boiled in the seasoned water. I made hash browns out of them for breakfast.

My knees had been bothering me a couple of weeks ago. By the time I drove 3 hours to the campout my right knee was hurting so much I could barely walk. I had brought my knee brace and that helped. In the two weeks since my knees had recovered until yesterday. I picked up 2 bags of mulch at Lowe's and a 35 pound bucket of cat litter at Walmart. Now my knees and shoulder hurt. Will I ever learn. I had quit buying the big buckets of cat litter but wanted to use one for a step for Pinky to get up to the cat food on the cabinet. I think she has lost a little weight since she has to climb up to the food and not sit with her head in the bowl all the time.

Guess I better go dump my mulch. Between the dog, the cats and all that I have to do around here this hasn't bothered me much. I guess if I catch the virus it will be another story.

I went in and got a hair cut three weeks ago, and she cut it SHORT! Normally, I would complain about that, but I am really glad it was so short because now it is about right and should last me another 3-4 weeks.

There is a very small pharmacy in the nearby tiny town, and I called them yesterday about a finger pulse Oximeter, that little thing that measures blood oxygen. People on the news who have survived the coronavirus are saying that having one kept them out of the hospital because they could give information over the phone to doctors and nurses. Other equipment we should really have is a blood pressure cuff and a good thermometer. Anyway, they had one and put it aside for me, so I picked it up today. It was only $23 and is not FDA approved, but Amazon is completely out of them. The better ones are FDA approved, but I took what I could get.

Anyway, i parked on a side street behind the pharmacy and stopped at the drive-through window. They took my credit card and gave me the oximeter and my card back with the receipt. Used a wipe to clean everything off. Nice to not have to go into a business!

Make sure you get enough sunshine, those of you who are depressed. So far, I am just bored because I have stuff to do for my class. My "wanderer gene" is telling me I need to go somewhere and see stuff, so it is hard to stay put.

Sue, I don't know about getting rich once I return to work, but I will be very, very busy for awhile!! Hopefully, tips will be good! Luckily, I can cut my own hair, except in the back but that is pretty short yet.

The county has shut down all public and private golf courses and people are NOT happy! This area is a huge golfing community.

I was looking thru my cupboards this morning and realized I have tons of pasta! I also have several jars of Prego spaghetti sauce and alfredo sauce. That should keep me fed for awhile.

A neighbor guy across the street had a stroke a few weeks ago. He is back home now and doing pretty good. They are getting lots of company as far as people stopping and talking to them from the street and bringing them stuff, and I just saw a health care worker there. If I see his wife outside, I will go talk to her. I don't know them very well but have talked to them a few times. I think they are snowbirds but obviously staying here for awhile now. There is another couple in the park with the husband having a stroke a few weeks ago. They are also rental snowbirds and she had to move to another park model when their lease was up. Lots of neighbors pitched in to help her move. He will be coming home on Sunday. He is relearning how to walk and talk, etc. I am sure she will be thrilled to get him home since she has not been allowed to see him since the day he was admitted. Lots of challenges ahead for them tho.

The guy here who has the virus and has been quarantined at home, his wife has it now. I had a hot flash yesterday and started to panic!! Luckily it passed within minutes. But the first thing I thought was "I have a fever!".

I think I will take a walk and then start cleaning the house. It gets so messy now that I am home so much. I will feel better if it is cleaned up.

Beautiful day here with sunshine, a light breeze and birds chirping! I better go take that walk before it gets too warm out.

the last couple of nights I have noticed that the inverter monitor what ever it would be called... that the indicator hasn't gone into the green even though I can tell from the sounds of the generator that it's charged. but when I turned on the inverter in the day time it was in the orange should have been fully charged from the panels... not sure what is going on doesn't make me happy...just when I feel like most things are ok some I have that need to be done but are something that I can wait on...this is something that I need to know is ok.. called Terry he is waiting for gloves and masks so he can work... he said I would be ok in the day time with the panels charging and night time while the generator is running... so right now the generator is running about an hour earlier than normal...

Just had a 4.9 earthquake out here! Sounded and felt like a huge truck was going past the house. Loud rumbling and shaking for about 15 seconds. A few aftershocks right away but haven't felt anything since. Just to be safe, I moved my car out from under the carport for the night.

Earlier today, I tried out my new wood burner on a gourd piece and discovered it is worthless. I bought a cheap one at Walmart and it doesn't get hot enough to put much of a mark on the gourd, but hot enough to bend the metal tip on it! I was looking on-line at some better wood burners when I was rudely interrupted by the earthquake. I need a decent wood burner to do any decent work on the gourds.

Might be a difficult night to sleep. Hope it will stay calm...
