And a little foggy and cloudy. Sun is supposed to shine this afternoon. Sndi, love that eating schedule.  I too loaded up in cookies, ice cream and other goodies and munched my way through them. Decided I’m not only sick of sweet stuff, but it’s not a healthy thing to be doing either. So now have celery and green peppers in the house as well as some nuts. I haven’t weighed myself lately, but will tomorrow. Last time I did, I hadn’t gained anything. That was last tine  i am however eating somethings I cut out of my diet again though

My understanding of Donna’s surgery was they went in to remove a large kidney stone, but after that shrgery, she was in so much pain, they went back in a second time to see if they might not have gotten it all.

Looks like a bit of wall painting today. Won’t take long, but want to get that done. Just one wall in the kitchen. I have a few small projects to do and decided it’s time to get out of this chair and do them. Course the fur kids will want their walk. We are starting to go a bit farther each day now.

I too debate on the going to The store thing. I made sure have enough stuff to last me for awhile. Whenever butter is on sale over the holidays, usually buy extra and freeze it so no worries there. I bought enough milk and fresh fruit plus canned also. Only thing I will run out of is cottage cheese and tomatoes. I quit shopping at Walmart over two weeks ago cause all I hear is they are out of stuff. But one day next week I might order a take out from one of our restaurants for a change.

Sitting here jabbering isn’t getting my wall pabted. Y’all have a good dsybout there. Be sure to get your exercise.

I have to drive 60 miles to Gainesville, FL, on Monday to get some legal documents notarized and something called a medallion certificate on another one. Then I have to have them all sent FedEx to two locations. Plus, I need to pick up some groceries since I have not done any serious shopping for 12 days, two weeks by Monday, and I have a long list to last me next two weeks. Going to try to do everything in one stop so I won't have to drive there again.

And trying to decide if I want to use this campground's laundromat. The problem with this place is the number of kids and adults swimming in the pool and hanging around the activity center playing games, which is right next to the laundry. Just too many people congregating together. Pool was packed yesterday, which is nuts. No way will I go in a public pool with this virus, let alone a crowded one. And yesterday, I saw two golf carts with flags flying and music playing going around in a sort of parade with Trump signs saying the virus was a hoax!!! Don't want to hang around with those guys!!

I can wash out some underwear and wait until the next campground to do laundry if I have to. Just don't like all those people congregating and not paying attention to social distancing. There are some people sticking to their own campsites, but obviously at least one fairly large group that is ignoring safety. I had to walk a long way to office yesterday and was offered a ride by a couple of kids in a golf cart. Nice of them, but no thanks I told them. Rather walk. They did not seem aware of social distancing at all.

And that, Judy, scares me so much. If only everyone could realize those things will make things escalate. Oh well. And me, who's never been interested in having a washer or dryer is very happy for the little washer I bought for the casita. And then everything goes out to dry. I'll be back to using a laundromat in SD, but since I manage it, I might use it after hours. And after spraying disinfectant everywhere.

Sue, I wish I could get sick of sweets. But I can often substitute fruits. I love those, too.

It's chilly and windy today. Barbie, I think we got your winds yesterday and they are still here along with a drop in temps. Luckily the temps head back up tomorrow. I haven't checked on if the winds will stay or go.

Doing my usual nothing. This morning I baked some biscuits from an out of date mix. I should have put some baking powder in it because they came out pretty flat. Reminded me of my grandmother's biscuits. She had a cabinet with a big flour bin and she made the biscuits in the bin. They must have bought flour in 25 pound bags. She made biscuits every morning so there were usually left over biscuits on the stove. When we were kids we would pass through the kitchen and pick up a biscuit for a snack. In the summer she would let my brother and I take turns staying for 2 weeks. She and grandpa only went to the store on Saturday. They would let me get one of those big candy bars. I knew it had to last all week so I would only take one bite everyday. That would be a novel concept for todays kids.

When I went to feed the outside cats I noticed one of the kittens wasn't feeling good. He's almost a year old so really not a kitten. He has an abscess draining on his side so I started him on antibiotics. I wish these dummies would quit fighting. Last month Zero had an abscess.

I won't need to go to the store until I run out of fishing worms. I might take a shovel and try digging where the neighbor is dumping the cow manure out of the stalls. I have tried that before and didn't find any so don't know where the worms hang out.

Hello everyone! It's warm in Ocala and right now it is 89 degrees and we'll probably hit 90+ before the day is out. We've had lots of winds lately, but I don't think it's anything like what Barbie and Beth are getting.

Judy, the pool, office and clubhouse have been closed at our campground for maybe two weeks if not longer. Lots of people have gone home because there is so little to do here. But we don't need the campgrounds amenities to keep us occupied. I have read probably ten or more books this winter and as of yesterday, started coloring in the adult coloring book. The picture I'm doing, is of poisonous dart frogs, lily pads and mushrooms and is half finished. The left page is done and I still have to so the right page to complete it and have spent more than six hours on it already. I'm glad we have our own washer and dryer and don't have to rely on the campgrounds laundromat. We went to the grocery store this morning and there wasn't a package of ANY chicken available. I was actually looking for the shrimp that were on sale for the weekend only but they were gone, too. So we're going to set the alarm tomorrow and go to the next town and try again. This is crazy.

The campground here is all but a ghost town. The dog walks must be shorter than usual because we see very few dogs on leashes. Vehicle and foot traffic is minimal, so the folks here are taking this very seriously. MD & the DC area have many more cases than this area of FL, so our trip back to MD is on hold until we learn more.

Good afternoon. Another exciting day in the life of an isolated person. Thank goodness for the dog LOL I made some pecan candy yesterday and took some over to my neighbor for her to give me some feedback on it. It is a sugar free pecan drop. Tastes pretty good to me. She met me outside and we visited for a bit. She is isolating just like I am with zero contact with people so I feel very safe with her.
I dragged out a jigsaw puzzle this morning in hopes that I might start doing it just for a bit of a change of pace. I dragged out my vacuum too but it is still sitting there LOL

Had a salad for lunch as I need to stop eating my way thru this isolation phase. I still have some snacks kicking around but I am not buying any more of those. Going to make some sugar free pudding as that is good with a dollop of Redi whip on top.

Our community is like a ghost town also. Usually have lots of cars passing my house but they are pretty scarce now. Just people going to get their mail or drop off the garbage. I am going for a walk with my neighbor this afternoon, the dog will be very happy. The weather isnt the best but it isnt raining yet so we will give it a shot. She said her back has been hurting and walking helps so I said sure I would go with her, I need to get out if only to walk the dog.

I dont know how the rest of the area here is doing with social isolating but we are doing stellar here. I am definitely a little bored and want to go to Home Depot and Walmart for some things for my projects but you know it will wait. This is a risky time and I dont need to be out and about for no real good reason. I have to go to my eye doctor on Monday for my shot in the eye. I have an early appointment and they have already screened me over the phone and stated they will be taking my temp on arrival. I am good with that. I had my virtual appointment with my Rhematologist yesterday on Zoom, oh brother what a joke.....he wants me to come in 6weeks for labs.........we shall see what the world looks like then.

Just got an alert we have 100 new virus cases in a day, the most in a single day yet. Brings our total to 414 confirmed cases. 12 deaths so far. Our county only has 6 positives since testing increased so that is good.

Everyone stay safe as I am sure you all are.

Martha, when I was a kid I used to raise worms for fishing. Not sure which kind you use, but i had a wooden box buried in the ground next to the cottage. I added stuff like coffee grounds and potato peels to the soil and mixed it up, then added a few worms. Kept it moist and within a very few weeks, I had a slew of worms!

Decided to wash out my undies and bras in the bathroom sink and wear shorts twice--it's not like they get dirty since I am wearing them inside. The rest will wait until i get to another campground without a pool, and so hopefully, less busy. I suspect this place just got busy when school was let out. Now, you would think it was a big weekend. There are some empty spots, but I was told they would fill on the weekend. And add to the people in the pool, no doubt!!

I usually do at one walk per day around a campground, but I am staying inside now. Worried about my drive to Gainesville, FL on Monday, but if I did not go, I would be holding up closing on a condo and keeping people from moving in. I will just be really careful about not touching things and carrying a baggie fully of wipes.

I slept really long last night. With the stress, I think I really needed that. Feel better today. I decided to stay off my computer this morning so as not to get depressed over things, and get some stuff done around here instead. I did laundry but only had enough quarters for two loads. Will have to go to the bank and get another roll or two. I put gloves on when I went to the laundry room and after my clothes were dry, took them home to fold them.

I bought a WILL kit and a book called "I'm Dead, Now What?". I want to get things in order, which I should have done a long time ago, but situations like this, make you think more about life and death and "what if?". I don't really have any relatives I want as my executor, nor any really close friends I think would want to do that. I just have my house and car, not much else of value, but I have a couple boxes of things I have kept for my daughter that I want to make sure she gets. Otherwise my brother and his wife in MN, will just toss it all out. My other brother is in no shape to be executor for me and his wife has her hands full with just taking care of him. I have one good friend here that I trust but she is moving back to Oregon soon and isn't in the best of health.

I ordered a face respirator from the gourd farm to use for doing gourds to keep the dust, mold, and fumes out. I had to call them since they are not selling them on-line because they are reserving the few they have for their customers only. Once they found my account in their system from previous purchases, they allowed me to buy one. It has two filters on either side but is very compact. I am so sensitive to everything that I really need one before I get started.

The wind finally died down today. Just a nice breeze blowing thru. Still seeing people here heading out back home. Our pools were closed last week. Not for the water, but the hand railings, gates, chairs and other surfaces people might be touching.

I will probably go out tomorrow to the bank, and then try to find a store that has milk and butter. I am just about out of both.

I just noticed the top of my foot is peeling! Must have sunburned it a little, when I was at the beach a couple weeks ago! :o

Have a good day and stay safe!

Judy, I need to see if I can grow some worms. The problem we have here is that fire ants get in everything. I have trouble keeping them out of my flowers. I have the food bowls for the outside cats sitting in a pan of water to keep the ants out.

I would like to order some solar lights to replace some on the carport and back deck but don't know if I want something being delivered here right now. I guess I could let it sit outside for a few days.

There is nothing on TV so I'm watching Dinners Drive-Ins and Dives. Not a good show to watch when there is little to do but eat. lol

I made the biggest scones I've ever made basically cause I wanted to see if I could and didn't want left overs so the recipe that typically makes 18 smallish made 4 good size ones and 2 small ones.. I much prefer fresh made even if it's been frozen its ok better than canned so the chili was ok but would prefer other.. we didn't complete our full set of games couple had to go and after playing some Mexican train our host said she needed to sit in her chair (back troubles) so I cleaned up a bit and left need to go back tomorrow and take care of the oil she didn't have a funnel so need to take one to empty it from the fry pan into the bottle makes a mess if one doesn't use a funnel  Carol and Bill made it home she posted her blog the other day and someone posted a really bad rant... happen to see it before she pulled it... it was just ugly...
right now all in my family are doing well pray that continues... as still pondering what to do... dd is scheduled to deliver on the 24 th of April. you all have a good day
