Hunkering Down Monday

No furry, skinny-tailed mouse problem. My mouse problem was that I have used my old leather LazyBoy recliner armrest for a mouse pad for the past 15+ years. It has been my chair of choice all that time, but I finally wore a hole in the leather on the arm and where my head rests, so I went out and bought a cloth version in a light beige. It is identical in design and size to my last one. It won't last as long, but the leather colors were too dark for my taste, and i did not want to order one to pick up a month later. The fabric is a solid color but it has a bit of a pattern on it and looks very nice, however, I have two problems with using the arm as a mouse pad.
First, the mouse keeps sliding off on the floor. And second, the mouse is not working as well, either because of the lack of pattern or the color or the fuzz that keeps getting into the optical receiver. I have tried putting a variety of things like towels and t-shirts on the armrest but had no luck. Grading things was taking twice as long because of the darn mouse problem. I checked online, and there is something called the Anywhere Mouse by Logitech that even works on glass, so off I went to pick one up. It would have cost $59 but I have to have a working mouse. However, I discovered that mouse pads are now very thin and flexible and only cost $4, so I got one and it works great. Saved me $55! Except while i was there I got a new camera. My old one is only four years old, but it has something on the lens inside that is showing up on photos, and I have not found anyone who can take it apart and clean it--lenses are not removable to replaceable. So I spent over $300 on a camera. Oh, well.
Anyway, today is hunkering down day. Not going out at all, other than for a walk in the campground to watch the lock.
