Cinco de Marcho marks the beginning of the season to train the liver for St. Patrick's Day, a holiday known for drinking that is just 12 days away. 

Second day of rain here in Savannah, GA. Getting an oil change, tire rotation and software update for a headlight recall. Will see Peggy a bit later, but I think we both have laundry planned. Fun stuff again lol

Fun holiday, Cheryl. I have one of my meetup meals tonight so I'll start training. lol The Louisiana Belles have a campout right after St Patrick's Day at the campground where you met us. I'm sure we will still be celebrating.

The wind, rain and warm temperatures left. The sun is trying to come out but not lasting very long. We will have a few dry days and Sunday it will warm up and rain again. I don't know where my barn shoes are so went to feed in my good shoes and now they are wet. Tomorrow is trash pick up so I picked up all the trash the workers left on the carport. Since it's not raining on there anymore I need to find the outside broom and clean the carport. That place is a catch all for everything.

Morning friends! It's another sunny day, but may not make it to 80, as it did yesterday. Rain predicted for weekend. I sure hope it does. Headed in a bit to Home Depot to meet my handyman to look at some lights. Then will drop stuff off and head for Walmart and Costco. Have o see what each have in stock, as I've heard stories in some areas of stuff out of stock, such as TP, paper towels, bleach, canned goods and snacks. Luck.y I'm after meat, eggs, bacon, butter and cheese, so I shouldn't have a problem. Will be washing carts handles and our hands with sanitizing wipes. You may have heard of the first California death. It occured about 1 mile from my house in the Kaiser hospital. We are being as careful as we can but not real worried.

Has anyone heard from/about Mitch in Tennessee? I think the town she lives in is Waverly County. Haven’t seen that name in the little bit of news I can get. You are right Barbie...some news sources are really deficient in reporting important events.

Judy, glad you are at a safe distance from your aunt and uncle right now. Enjoy we’re you are, I reeder how much you like that camp site!
Elections are over for the tie being...I think 0.1 percent of my choices won! The rules regarding elections are CRAZY in CA!

Lyn~ Mitch is about 125 miles west, and a hair north, of where the tornados hit in Nashville. She did post on Facebook fOr a cat that needs a foster, so I think she's OK.

I had to go into town to get propane and a new CO/smoke detector, but am back settled in my site at South Bay RV Park.

I called hospice first thing this morning and completed all the paperwork online. Got a return call from the nurse from hospice and also from the doctor in the hospital. In fact, the doctor was going to call me to suggest hospice, and confirmed that I had made the right decision. I am happy to have them involved to help me make decisions on his care and handling his wife. The first big decision is whether to send him to a nursing home or back to his memory care facility, which I am concerned about their ability to handle him bedridden. I know his wife will want to be at his side, but he will probably need a hospital bed and that means she will need a single bed. Also, will it be better for her to be with him 24 hours a day or to just visit a couple of hours each day???

I almost drove back to Venice but I have no place to stay there and it is hot, hot, hot. I could park behind memory care facility, but would have to run my generator during the day. Except there really isn't anything I could do anyway, so I am staying here, I think, and let hospice handle things for right now.

Also, I was supposed to go to Eugene, OR, on April 13-16 for a cat scan and bone marrow biopsy, but I think i am not going to go, research study schedule or not. Just don't want to get quarantined out there.

It's always a good feeling to be able to report that I actually accomplished what I had on the list to do today... be it a few months later than it should have been but accomplished none the less.. Lyn yes I will let you know... glad to hear that Mitch is probably ok I had a couple of missed calls from the rv mechanic he has the part and will be here Saturday to fix my fridge!!! yes and we will believe it when it is done hope it comes out easily and fixed easily and back in easily we just want the world right??? and so far the generator continues to humm along... knock on wood...
still trying to figure out what is best to do when I go to help my sister... what I need to do is get good information then I can better decide... oh and took my books back to library and found the last of the series I was reading... Yea!!! will be able to know how it ends...

Sheila, I was just about to congratulate you on getting everything done on today's to-do list until I read that some of it was month's old.

See, now the rest of us who did not get done what we planned to do, can now feel better knowing that you did not accomplish everything you planned to do today either. Glad you did not set the standard higher today.

I worked today til 3:30. I heard about an art & decor store out here that has lots of cool artwork, etc. so I decided to stop there after work to check it out and see if I could get some ideas for my gourd art. Well, I was very excited when I saw it! Not only was there amazing artwork that gave me lots of inspiration, but they had barrels full of driftwood. I have been wanting to find some to put gourds on. The artwork there was quite expensive so I figured the driftwood pieces would be too, but when I asked, they said they were $3 a piece! I got about 5 pieces that I thought would go with some of my gourds. Will have to figure all that out and come up with ideas. I then saw a box of gourds there. They were all painted silver and nothing else on them, no designs or carvings. They were pretty ugly and I found one I thought I could paint over and use...until I saw the price tag!! It said all gourds $39 . I can't imagine anyone buying one of those for that price! I then asked the guy there if they take art on consignment. He said if they like it they will. I told him I am starting on doing gourd art and he said to bring in pieces when I get them done and he and the owner will decide. If they are asking $39 for plain crappy gourds, I imagine I could make some good money on nice, creative gourds, as long as their take isn't too high. But certainly worth checking on later!

I just ordered some ink dyes from the gourd farm for my first project. Hopefully, I can get started on that this weekend, at least getting the design figured out and drawn and wood burned on the gourd. The first one will be pretty simple and I can practice first on a sample piece of gourd to make sure I do it right. I bought two bags last weekend of cut gourd pieces for practicing on.

Stopped at a party store to get some decorations for my golf cart for the St Patty's Day poker run and parade. There is a contest for the best decorated cart but I didn't buy anything too extravagant for it so am not planning on winning anything. Maybe next year I can add to it more. Will still be fun to participate! Hopefully, I will find my keys before then!

There is a pancake breakfast this Sunday and I am going with one of my neighbors and her husband to that.

Time to head to bed...
