Morning Cheryl and all who follow. Yep, definitely foodie day. My neighbor brought me 2 paczki yesterday. These are original Polish recipe and already had one. The big misconception is that they are big and filled with various fillings like prune, raspberry, blueberry. Lemon, apple and whatever else. But I found out, in all actuality, the real Polish paczki is not filled at all, but fried and then dipped in sugar or powdered sugar as soon as they come out of the fryer and eaten that way. For those unfamiliar with them, they are pronounced “poonch-key”.
Been AWOL here a few days I know. Been a bit busy. Yes O’Sharon, I did finish my painting. Decided to just do the bathroom in the same color I have in my living room and kitchen since it just goes so well with everything and had a whole gallon sitting in the basement. Turned out great. So that room is done. Now to pick something else for the other one.
We’ve been having some beautiful sunny spring,Ike weather these past few days with temps anywhere from mid 40’s to 50. My camping friends from the U.P. And I decided to head to Tahquamenon Falls to enjoy a great Winter day. It’s about a 2 and a half hour drive for us from our respective homes. I made a post with pictures in General Talk about it. Then yesterday I took the dogs for their favorite walk in the woods as no snowmobiles around. We have lost quite a bit of snow and the trails are pretty well chopped up with mush, slush and even a bit of dirt here and there. But the girls had a great time and ran off their energy. It’s all of 3+ miles.
So today I’m going visiting and then will be home rest of week. Need to finish a few little things in the bathroom and give this house a good cleaning. Got my taxes done and good news there, so that’s out of my way. Small RV show coming up in a week, so that will be fun. Weather has me thinking camping season.
But right now, better get this show on the road, so I can visit with my friends in a little while here. Hope you all have a nice day. Peggy, you snuck into n ahead of me
Have a safe trip towards home.
