It's Saturday morning and I'm first in the kitchen!! OMG, that's a first and it comes with responsibilities! We've got traditional items already on the table such as Zee's biscotti, coffee, and some cinnamon rolls. This morning we also have available Diet Coke...my preferred morning drink! I've also mixed up some sausage balls and they'll be ready in a few minutes. Yum Yum....
I've been humming Come Saturday Morning while writing this post.....it was one of my favorite songs many years back! And I actually remember the words! Enjoy breakfast. Most of all enjoy your Saturday!! Now I may go to bed for a little while!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!
Dang Becky! And here I thought I was gonna be first today.
Hmmmm Going to bed now? What was you doing?
Well it's the big move weekend. Gonna be busy. David got home last night before 11:30pm, moved my Blazer out of the driveway and put his in and then he started carrying boxes and stuff out of the cellar. Me? I went to bed. Woke up about 3am to go potty, his girlfriend was home by then but she went to bed and David was still working at carrying stuff out of the cellar. Kelly?? She surprised the heck out of me by going to bed as soon as we got home last night!!! We stopped to eat at Shoneys last night after work and she said how tired she was. But I didn't think she was that tired!!! We have got to get all the big stuff out today. Even if it does say thunder storms for weather.
Land lord is bringing someone over to look at the house at 10am and at 2pm. Ought to be interesting!
Ok gonna swill another cup of coffee, check my email and get my comic fix and then get busy. Ohhh!! And I believe I will grab at least one of those cinnamon buns that Becky set out. I love Cinnamon buns and I need to get my before Beth gets here!!!!
I'll be checking back in but.......I hope everyone has a great day and please stay safe!!!!
Love to all

Sure don't envy you moving but I'm excited for you starting the big move to the new adventures around the corner for you and Kelli!! Hope the rain holds off. It's the landlord's problem if he shows the house while you are moving!! You are gonna be gone!! Woo Hoo!!! Becky----I love sausage balls but I gotta find my spicey brown mustard to go with them!!! Gotta have a cup of coffee too----just a little cream to go in it!!

Cedar's here,... staggering into the kitchen muttering,.. "coffee, coffee!..."
I went out last night to our highschool's drama club production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying".... it was outstanding. We have very talented singers and actors. Cast was various students from grades 7 - 12. Our principal appeared in a brief walk-on cameo performance. The kids looked relaxed, and having a ball with it.
So,... needless to say, being up until 11 p.m. (that's LATE for me!) has got me bleary eyed today.
Hope everyone has a great day,... it's going to be sunny and up to 63° here. Good luck with your moving day Echo,...

Come Sat. morning, I'm going away with my friend....I wish. Now you got me humming that song from my youth too.
Looking forward to today, though. My two grandsons and parents are coming this afternoon. We're supposed to get some thunderstorms and need them too, but hope they'll hold up so the boys can enjoy the pool while they're here.
Got to do a little straightening up here, and vacuum up the pet hair....those critters are throwing their hair everywhere these days, especially the cat!
Have a great day, everybody.

aahhhhh, good morning ladies
mmmm coffeeeeeeeeeeee
its gonna be a very busy day for me today, other than routine stuff, I have repair
stuff to do from the high wind storm we had Thursday, it blew over my front fence,
which knocked over the propane bottle, (empty) which then knocked in the side panel
of my front shed, not to mention my yard is full of tumbleweeds again, definately
gonna be busy. Then I have to go over to a friends house to pick up some very large
flower pots and perhaps the gate he has for me too. The gate I'll have to tie to my
roof rack but that works for me! Also have to go over to the neighbors and turn on
the water to make sure everything gets a good drink. They hired me to take care of
the place until they come back in October. They are quite well known in our community
so perhaps word of mouth will get me a few other yards to water as well, can always
use more $$.
Ok, I'm off to read up on posts, have a great day and be safe.
Echo, don't work too hard.

Good morning. I posted yesterday on my MIL's computer, but it doesn't seem to have shown up
DH and I are running around trying to tie up loose ends here in Tampa getting ready for our trip to Spain on Wednesday. So while I'm gone, have lots of GOOD adventures for me to read about when I return. OMG, that might take me months to catch up
We are going to take computer, so I might be able to get on there-we'll see. Guess I'm going to miss that lobster fest

Good Morning! I'm not excited about anything that I have to do today, but it sure beats moving! Boy hate that job. When we built this house and moved in I told the boys my next move was going to be to the "home" and they could just move me, my recliner and TV and they had to cope with the rest of it. This morning I made the reservations for the 4th of July marathon camping trip at a local campground. Four families are staying for nine days, some of us have to work part of the time, but I'm the lucky one who only has about a mile to drive to work. Yes Cedar it is amazing to see the talent in small schools, no doubt some of the same kids who were stars on the basketball court were also stars in the drama club productions. That is one of the very nice things about small schools, students have more opportunity to experience all the different facets of extra-curricular activities. Also since the school activities are basically the heart of small communities social life the students efforts are appreciated.
Well have a good day everyone! And Echo..just remember this move is just one step closer to the road!

Thanks for the diet Coke. It's my morning caff choice also. If i get really chilled I will fix some hot tea but them switch right back to the DC. Not eating breakfast yet. Heading out to meet up with a dear friend for brunch. She was in an accident last year on her way to work and is still doing rehab for walking. It is one of those "It's a miracle that they were able to put her legs back together and that she ever woke up from her head injury. She worked as one of my teacher assistants for two years and I have never met a more positive woman who has had to work hard her whole life through situations that others only see in the movies. An not the good situations... Anyway. she is still here and acknowledging her Blessing everyday!!!! She is one of my Heros.

Soon as I saw the title to the post, I was a'hummin'. Unfortunately, I only remember those words, so they keep repeating themselves in my head - over and over and over again. Kind of funny.
Today I'll spend with my g/f from the area as it's the last time I'll see her before leaving this week. That part is sad. But Sparkle and I will not let it get Conni or me sad - we'll just enjoy the day.
Good luck on the moving, Echo. I hope the storms don't make it too difficult.
Carol, have a wonderful trip to Spain. If you get a chance to post, do so, but your trip comes first - and we'll just expect to hear lots and lots about it when you return.
Birdy, I'm glad your friend has the right attitude and that while it's taking time, it seems she is mending. Hate those things happening.

I'll be thinking about you Echo, moving is way too stressful! But you are beginning a great adventure so the excitement will carry you along!
Spain sounds wonderful Carol, have a wonderful time.
Happy Trails Beth and Sparkle as you head down the road, have a safe journey. What in the world did you all buy in Mexico! Curious as to that long black and white roll, and how did you carry all that stuff around!?
It's raining here this AM and Winnie looked at me as though I was crazed for suggesting she go outside to potty with 'the boy's'. She is definitely a fair weather girl and if not perfect temp and no rain/snow she uses her paper. Yes, she is very spoiled.

Hi all! and thanks for reminder of one of my all time favorite songs .......
Come Saturday morning
I'm goin' away with my friend
We'll Saturday-spend till the end of the day-ay
Just I and my friend
We'll travel for miles in our Saturday smiles
And then we'll move on
But we will remember long after Saturday's gone
Come Saturday morning
I'm goin' away with my friend
We'll Saturday-laugh more than half of the day (ay-ay-ay)
Just I and my friend (my friend)
Dressed up in our rings and our Saturday things
And then we'll move on
But we will remember long after Saturday's gone
Not so sure I have any other Sandpiper songs on CD, will put that on my list to download when I get back to Austin and a fast connection!
Today I am very excited to be going to my Auntie Meda's 100th birthday party. She is also my "god-mother" and has always been a very dear person to me. Her husband, my Uncle Willie, was my Grandma Stella's little brother. They grew up just a few miles from where I live and so many, many good memories and deep roots for me here.
It's a scary time in Fargo, hope the warm weather holds off to avoid snow melt on top of the flood. The weather service is predicting a peak at 43 feet if the snow melts, that's almost 3 feet higher than ever recorded!
Time to get busy, hope you all have a fun day!!!

Sparkle here. The long black roll is a hammock! Even though I'll be up in the mountains my front space will be done as a beach complete with flamingoes. I bought a turquoise dress. I got it for 15.00. The woman was trying to sell Beth one and she was resisiting so she ended up only paying 13.00! And she's still my friend? I also bought a red wrap. A poncho. BIG marshmallows. Lots of booze. Dog medications. Me medications. Gifts for friends. Beth bought about the same, except she bought a necklace and earrings and she had a big list from people in the CG. We must have gone round town 3 times at least. I know we walked 4 miles. I LOVE it.

OMG!!!
Pooped!!! Landlord had 2 appointments to show the house today, both canceled out.
Jenny's Dad and then her Mother and then a friend all showed up to help Jenny pack up her stuff out of the bedroom and all of David's glassware he brought back from overseas. Jenny had nothing at all of her stuff packed and ready to go. I don't believe any furniture will be going out the door today, it's raining to much and Jenny's Dad is the only male. David got stuck working a double and I'M NOT LUGGING furniture out, down the steps and into the back of a pickup truck!!!!! I'm not in the shape I use to be plus I don't have the muscle to do it anymore. David will be home tomorrow he can lug furniture. Jenny also has a stepdad and older brother that can do that crap. ??? Tho to tell ya the truth Jenny's brother would probably be useless any way!
He doesn't strike me as very handy at things???
Was going to rent a u-haul truck for the kids to use. David informed me that Jenny's family were going to get one, so I didn't. David let me know this morning that they weren't getting one??? Talked to Jenny's Dad who told me that he had wanted to get one but was voted down. When I mentioned it in front of everyone??? You could have heard a pin drop. ??????? Seems to me that it would have been so much simpler, easier and cheaper to get a bigger truck and make 1? maybe 2 trips to get all the big stuff like furniture, washer, dryer, kitchen set, big microwave and well? Ya'll get the picture!!! Damned if I'm gonna go get one now!!! They can all stew and work and cart and carry and haul stuff in ??? how ever many trips it takes. grrrrrr!
Ok, I've sat on my butt long enough, time to get busy again.

That was a good shopping expedition Sparkle, love the idea of taking the beach with you! Next trip you and Beth will end up having to buy or hire a cart of some kind to 'tote' all your treasures around and back to the car.
Echo, stick to your resolution and don't lug furniture around! Boy you guys sure accumulated a bunch of stuff since you moved there, what was it a couple of years ago!
