Merry Christmas all. BJ that card is precious, I recognized Emma right away LOL

A quiet day will be spent today. Will continue to remove pictures and files off an old computer then will take it and an old laptop and that stupid Mac computer to the recycle center. Then I am sure I can find something on TV to occupy my afternoon while I work on the computers. There will be a Peppermint Mocha involved for sure. My neighbor brought me a piece of "healthy organic" Banana nut cake with cream cheese frosting. She uses coconut sugar, never heard of it before but I am thinking it isn't diet cake LOL But is my Christmas dinner treat for today.

I started my "healthy eating" kick a week ago tomorrow and I am down 3lbs this morning. Gives me incentive to keep it up. Dinner tonight will be bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp, and cauliflower with a cheese sauce.

Looking forward to 2020

Good morning and Merry Christmas! A beautiful sunny day today (before the big, bad storms move in tonight! :o )!

I will run over to the clubhouse at 10 to help set up and decorate our table there. The party starts at 4pm with wine and appetizers. Then dinner at 5. They are serving brisket! They cooked up 340 pounds of brisket yesterday! Should be very good!

I still haven't found my golf cart keys so will have to take my Jeep over to the clubhouse.

I made a little stocking of goodies for myself so will go thru that soon. With my bad memory, I will be surprised by what I find in there!!

Have a wonderful day with friends, family, or your furkids! :D

Merry Christmas Everyone! My weather, like Barbie's is nice and sunny today. Her bad rains will follow here tomorrow and there's talk of flooding possibilities.

About to organize to cook my parts of Sheila's and my Christmas dinner. We'll eat mid-afternoon.

Merry Christmas to all of you! Taking a rest from the kitchen...having a late dinner so Ryan doesn't have to leave to feed cattle. Waiting for Ashley and the kids to show up. Their going to be bouncing off the walls until be open presents. Sean worked a 24 hour shift and got off at 7:00 this morning and drove 3 hours home....so he's catching some sleep. Have a great day!

I went to decorate our table this morning. It looked a little sparse yet so I decided to run to the Dollar Store for more stuff. For some reason I was thinking it was Christmas Eve and stores would be open til 2 o 3. Not! Christmas Day and nothing was open, not even Walmart! So I found a few things I had in my Christmas box at home that I can fill in with.

Anne, on the way home I saw a big tree full of bright yellow leaves surrounded by palm trees with the snow covered mountains in the background. I was tempted to turn around and get a photo but I didn't.

Now just watching TV until it is time to get ready for happy hour and dinner. I better put the cover back on my golf cart before the rain moves in later tonight. We are supposed to get up to 1 1/2 inches of rain, which for this area is half of our annual rainfall amount. Then maybe another storm on Monday. Could be another beautiful spring with wildflowers tho.

Enjoy your day!

Merry Christmas. It got up to 80 yesterday but today was 70. If it hadn't been overcast it would have probably been close to 80 again. It looks like it could rain but there isn't any showing on the radar.

BJ, the card is so cute. Your DH is very talented.

My back is killing me from standing in the kitchen all morning. I think I'm going camping for New Years and someone else can cook.

I need to start my "healthy eating" kick. My weight has been up 5 pounds since the Christmas campout. I was digging around on my desk and found the note pad where I was writing down what I ate in August and September. I think I fell off that wagon.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone.

Florida is a funny place with a lot of clothing with palm trees, sea shells, and flamingos on them. I saw a visiting lady at the Memory Care facility today wearing a really cute Hanukka t-shirt today--instead of candles, it had a row of pink flamingos with beaks ready to light. Not sure how "kosher" that was, but it was cute and very "Florida."

I went out there at 11 today and ate lunch with my aunt and uncle, but I am just really burned out from shopping for them, returning stuff, and trying to carry on conversations. Basically, it is the same conversation over and over that I cannot answer or help them with. Uncle wants to know where his car is, wants to go to bank to get money, and wants to move to beach house. Also asks a lot of nonsense questions about some "project" that he wants the status on and things like who decided to get them a larger room. Aunt is upset that facility will not let her move pictures of trees from the hallway into her room, when she knows she and uncle spent a lot of money buying and having all those pictures framed!! Also, she cannot find anything and believes she has seen other residents wearing her clothes that she has misplaced. (If you saw their room, you would not even know where to start to look for stuff because their are piles of stuff everywhere.) Anyway, I left at 2:00 pm telling them I had to get home to call my kids. She was really peeved and said I had only been there twice, when I had been there 6 out of last 7 days!!

Got back to Myakka River State Park and changed clothes to shorts and then drove to "birdwalk" and enjoyed the fresh breeze and taking photos of birds and some wild hogs for a couple of hours. That really helped make me more calm and feel 100% better. Relaxing with TV now and having a crazy, completely unhealthy Christmas dinner!! Tomorrow I return some stuff, look at a couple of other facilities, and not go back to facility. Might even try to get a bargain or two for myself. Heading to Ohio on Sunday for three days with younger son and his family, then a quick stop in Oregon for doctor appt, and finally flying to Napa to visit with other son.
