It’s Tuesday

Good morning all. It’s a warm rainy morning here. Temps supposed to go down from where they are now. We’re back in the no sun days. Makes me feel lazy when we have these kind of days. Beth and Judy, hope you’re both feeling better today. Sue, you’re dealing with snow, aren’t you? Appreciate that you haven’t sent it this way. We’ve been lucky so far. We’ve had more rain then snow. I actually went out the other day and fired up the snow blower to make sure it still worked! Been saying I needed to do that and just kept putting it off. I also fired up the generator on Lola too. So check and check. Today may be a shopping day. I’ve actually made a shopping list, just have to remember to put it in my purse! I have a habit of making one and then leaving it behind! So that’s about it for me today. Nothing exciting which is probably a good thing! Hope you all have a great day.

It is a dang chilly foggy morning here today.......maybe rain today. Sunny weekend predicted. My attitude is we will see IF we get rain, and IF we get sun.

Cleaned out my walk in closet yesterday. Baby steps, still have lots to get rid of, just need to do it. Going to work on the guest room closet LOL it is full too. Then a trip to the Donation center before I change my mind ha ha

I am getting tired of all the ads and pleas for $$$$, gifts, food etc. One this morning said you have to donate in $25 increments. Good grief. I have my charities I donate to, Our local shelter, we have a food basket here in our community hall that is taken to a church on a weekly basis, Many people post charities for their birthday and I think that is great unless you have charities you already donate to. If I donated to all the pleas I would be broke.

Time for breakfast and then a shower. Need to get busy this morning.

Rain has moved out of SoCal for now. Sunny and low to mid 70's for the next week or so. Perfect! :D

Getting ready to head out for golf and then off to work later.

Just remembered I need to go in and get my Jeep smogged so I can get the tag for it. Will do that on Thursday.

I know this has been talked about before, but how do you find the mfg date on a tire? I want to see how old the tires are on my trailer but don't remember what numbers/code to look for. :?

Have a good one!

Barbie, it's the last 4 digits of the DOT code. For example if those last digits were 2716, it would mean the tire was manufactured the 27th week of 2016.

Morning all. I'm about to walk Ty, do a load of laundry, clean up in here, hopefully, then see my audiologist this afternoon. My ear was better yesterday but as soon as I laid down, acted up. That's plain weird. The sun is out. It'll feel so much better out. :)

We will head out into the sometimes sunny day to try to find a tree I don't have to mortgage the house to buy as I've been told there is a tree shortage. Then pick up groceries to last through Christmas because next week is second cataract and I'll be blurry a few days which puts days almost to Christnas! Also been foggy here and I hope that clears before we get out on streets. Today is a week since first new IOL and my distance vision is pretty good, mid very good but close still blurry, which is normal. It takes time for the brain to learn to use the 3 images incoming from this new IOL. I just want to get through this before the VA starts demanding my time, and I was told by letter, no excuses, show up or lose out!
Have a good day.

Thanks Beth. The number is 5211, so the last week of December of 2011? That would make the tires 9 years old! Yep! Time to replace them! They are older than the trailer!

Feeling better today but really tired. Glad stone was small and passed relatively easy. Now need to catch up on sleep.

Barbie, sometimes tires sit around before they are installed. I have learned to always check dates when I buy new tires to make sure I get “fresh” ones.

Barbie, that's a dangerous age for an rv tire. I'm glad you're replacing them!

Gotta love this laundromat... $1 to wash, 25 cents to dry. And was told I'd probably only need the one quarter, but if really heavy stuff, might need a second one.

Judy, I'm glad this stone passed quickly.

Today has been a cold, messy day. I had a dentist appointment in Lafayette this morning. Just stopped at Petsmart and came home. I upped the thermostat a few minutes ago but the heat hasn't come on yet. I put my glasses on and looked at the thermostat. It was on cool instead of heat. That's our weather, air conditioning one day and heat the next. It will be back into the 70's this weekend.

I have a dog I don't want. Sunday when I passed my neighbor's house a strange dog followed me home. She was trying to catch a cat so I got some food and fooled her into the kennel. My neighbor said the dog was on the road and followed her home Saturday. She wanted nothing to do with me but really wanted a cat. We called the shelter and they were suppose to come check her for a chip and give her a shot. They ask us to keep her because the shelter is full. They never showed up yesterday or today and don't answer their phone. It aggravates me that people drop their problems on our road. It's a pretty good size dog so I'm afraid to try to put a leash on her. I don't know that I could control her.

I get tired of all the requests for donations too. I don't give when they ask for money when you are checking out at a store. I want to know where my donations actually go. I give to St Jude once a year but I get a letter from them every week.

No plans for the rest of the week. I can't believe it's so close to Christmas. My sister and niece gave me a present so now I have to go shopping. I wish people wouldn't give me presents. I haven't decided to pull the Christmas tree out. I would have to find a place for the stuff on an end table.

one never knows what the day may bring...my plans were to go to choir practice and then a few errands to do and then home... and do some serious work... so my last place was to get ice and whatever else caught my fancy...when I got a text from my friend asking if i needed anything from Parker or if I wanted to go... decided to go as if I didn't now would have to some time soon to get that unbought item returned and the money back into my account... told her I really needed to get some stuff done first so went home and did some of what I had planned to do also had gotten a phone call didn't answer it (need to add to contact list as I would have answered this one) as it didn't show up as anything but a phone number didn't recognize the area code... hmmm it was my forwarding home...I need to call home.. but then the people answering were busy so left a message to call back didn't so I tried later must be having problems with the lines as the call couldn't go through..will have to try tomorrow...
had picked up an paper sorta like a nickel paper full of ads the front cover was a new restaurant near Parker so we decided to check it out to see where they are located then go back on Thurs. they had a coupon for buy one get one free... ends on Sunday so well will go see if it's worth the drive..
home after dark so tomorrow have to do some more stuff would like to put up the tree on Saturday if I don't hurry might as well not put it up
my youngest gd has the flu not fun for her or mom and mom is expecting... she is still on meds for a sinus infection which is a plus but at the same time her body is still I would think not as strong as it was before being sick immune is part of the word I am trying to pull out of the head
Beth and Judy glad you both are feeling better.

Hi everyone! Sounds like many of us are getting a bit stressed this holiday season! Count me among them. Why do I always feel a day late and a dollar short? Also agree about all the requests for donations! And we have a terrible homeless problem here, so there are always folks outside the stores or in the parking lots. I'm already supporting two grown sons who have lost jobs and can't find work, so I can't help others.

Martha, I know what you mean about St. Jude's, too. I have enough return address stickers to wallpaper a room! I won't live long enough to use all of them. And why does it seem that all my large expenses seem to come due in November/December? Property taxes are twice a year, but the twice is Nov. 1 and Feb. 1! What's with that? Two vehicle insurances and auto registrations expire Nov. or Dec. and the house insurance! I only took out two of my Christmas decoration boxes (out of 6) and only 7 of my music boxes (from 25+). I was always gung-ho about decorating the whole house, but this year? Bah humbug!
