Coffee's on. I'll serve up some Egg McMarlins (the Blue Marlin version of McDonald's winning breakfast sandwich)...

Image

WalMart has frozen, fully cooked sausage patties, fully cooked, frozen egg patties. Add a bun (or english muffin), slice of your favorite cheese, wrap in moist paper towel - and voila - a hearty breakfast favorite! (I defrost and heat the egg and sauasage thoroughly before bunning it. Otherwise, you'd have to horribly overcook the bread!)

More rain in the forecast for NW TN. Abby the beast was digging in the dirt and mud, so as much as she's not going to like it, it's off to the groomer for her today. Yankee company coming tomorrow, and we can't have a dirty dog/bouncer/chef.

I hope everyone has a perfect day and no one falls in a quagmire! Soos, is the story of what you're doing somewhere on this board? I'm fascinated by your adventures through the muck...

It's bad enough that y'all talk about food when I'm on a diet, but now PICTURES! You are a cruel cruel woman, Mitch. Beth and I are getting ready...oh, yes, I forgot..this is Sparkle. I can't remember my password or I'd log on. Anyway, Beth and I are getting ready for a day in Mexico. Lots of shopping. We both have lists from other people who need stuff. More later.

Good morning to all. Well we are home, and it is still winter here. The trees are bare, the ground is muddy and its cold. Yesterday was the first day in four month that I put on long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Have to do some adjusting.
We did a marathon run yesterday in the drizzle and rain - 590 miles from Alabama to home. Once we got on the road it was like a magnet was pulling us. Funny things is I couldn't sleep in my own bed last night - up till 3. Did get the phone and internet turned back on. Today I tackle the rest of the "business" stuff.
The daffodils are coming up and one rose bush has leaves. Saw some fish in the pond so they must have made it through "one of the worst winters in years" here. And guess the bobcat our neighbor saw fishing there didn't get too many.
My set of dishes made it home without one of them breaking - I was worried about them.
Today we have to go into town and do some stuff and get some stuff. Then little by little we'll drag what comes out of Alfie out and clean her up real good. We keep telling each other "It doesn't all have to be done in one day." Now if we just listen!

Good Morning everyone. I'm up and running early getting ready for our Spain trip while DH is dealing with his Mom-groceries, doctor appts., etc. before we depart on 4/1 for 3 weeks. This was a surprise trip. Woke up one am and DH had used our last frequent flier miles before they expired. Then back, and traveling out to CA and beyond.

Sparkle, I sure do love shopping in Mexico. You guys have fun and, oh, I think Elvis has been hanging out there lately.

That food sure looks inviting-but, it's cereal and fruit for me.
Well, drinking more caffeine, doing a few exercises and then, I'm off. carold

Gooood Morning Sistahs!!!

YAWN! I'm up but that's it..... My eyeballs still want to close and the rest of me wants to go back to sleep! Lordy I'm tired this morning and I got good sleep last night too.

Well came home last night and was about floored! David has actually started packing!! Have a pile of plastic containers and boxes on my kitchen floor. Oh, and one army green duffel bag too. Jenny came home last night grabbed a couple of boxes and off to the bedroom she went. ??? I don't think she did much packing tho? I heard some noise and then it got really quiet and I didn't see any light from under the door. I think she conked out and that was that. It's gonna be a hard push this weekend to get all the big stuff out. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Oh joy!!! :|

Other than getting around packing and ready to move there's nothing happening in this little tiny corner of the world. But I'm really not gonna complain!!!! I just know if I do the sheetz will hit the fan and it wouldn't be good.

Ok gonna go get my comic fix, check my email to do my clicks and just maybe I can get a couple of boxes done this morning? :D

Coffee is most excellent and I have a choice of cereals I've brought and milk too.

Sure hope everyone has a great day and remembers to stay safe.

Love to all

ps. welcome home to Carol and Bill

Oh darn! I ate Total cereal before i logged on here,..... Mitch you are a devil in disguise for tempting me to have a second b'fast .... but i just might!

everyone have a fun day,... we KNOW that Beth and Sparkle will,.. :D

Good luck Soos,... it's amazing that only about 35 miles away (over the mountain range into the Lake Champlain Valley where I live) my driveway is not muddy at all! I would advise waiting an hour until it's daylight to trek out the driveway. I have this vision of doing this swan dive into the mud and Twitch sailing off in the air while Molly is trying to keep her own feet dry. Be careful, my friend!

Have a great day all....

Echo, I feel your pain as you talk about moving. But might I ask - where are you moving from / to ? ?

We pushed hard to get from Albuquerque to Denver yesterday and we are sure glad we did. The snow storm we were trying to outrun has arrived so we achieved our goal. We'll sit out the weekend while the snow storm rages then go on home Monday. This time will serve to clean up the rig, do some shopping, visit daughter & granddaughter and get rested after our long rambling trip through the southwest that started the 9th of this month. We mostly skirted all the big cities and enjoyed our favorite stops at a friends land near Columbus, NM and at the Escapees North Ranch near Wickenburg, AZ. We spent very little time in any of the larger cities down there. It wasn't really a destination trip other than to visit friends in the 2 locations we liked -- it was just a rolling tour. The next time we head down there we'll pick those locations and stay longer. Anyways our trip is over and we are really glad to be almost home! Now we can get serious about house, workshop and RV garage building to be moved in before snow flies this fall.

So anyways -- good morning from blizzarding Golden, CO. It's getting serious now with visibility getting worse as it snows sideways. We are content to watch the white stuff fall all day today and tomorrow if that's what it does. The folks here said we could get a foot so -- the dog will really love making snow angels later on!

Mitch we are moving out of this house this weekend and about 30 or 40 miles from here until April 12th or 14th. Then we will be going to AZ. We are planning on taking our sweet time getting out there.

We will be working out at a lodge at the north rim of the Grand Canyon for about 6 months, give or take. We will be working with Sparkle. Everyone is telling us to keep her out of trouble. But I don't know about that part of it!!! I am seriously afraid that we will never be able to keep up with her!!!

Wow ... that IS a marathon. But I can understand ... being THAT close to home after being gone so long. It would be hard to pull over and stop for the night.

Welcome home ... you'll adjust quickly to your own "house" bed.

Good Thursday morning, warmer again today. And another trip to Sacrament. Two in one week! That will be enough for awhile.

I heard from my seller, he can't meet me this week-end, so am now hoping for the 4th. This is a good chance to do some of those projects I put off. And begin to cut grass. My Dad and I are about 200 yards apart and surrounded by natural grass land that we cut every spring to lower fire danger. It's a big job and often requires three cuttings. As hard as it is though, I actually enjoy it, kind of meditative and very satisfying when finished. So there's plenty to do while waiting for my new rig!

Time to hit the road, have a fun day!

Glad you are home safe Carol I was wondering about you this morning.

Hope everyone gets all they plan to do finished today, I worked all morning and intend to play most of the afternoon.

I'm reading a great book, "Loving Frank" by Nancy Horan. Has anyone else read it? Seems like every one I know that is in a book club around here is reading or has read it.

Echo, just remember the north rim of the Grand Canyon is the cold side -- be prepared for a cooler summer with quite cool nights. The last snow date for that area may be a bit shocking so be prepared to "deal with it" until almost summer. On the other hand -- you should have a marvelous summer and breath taking view -- enjoy your summer.
