Good morning Everybody. Today it’s a leftovers lunch in the park.
Irmi, I will definitely come to Ocala to visit with you and Steve at some point; maybe when Tina gets to Florida. I’m not on Facebook, so I don’t know where everybody is. Enjoy today. Peggy

Sunny and very breezy this morning. The mountain to the west are still covered in clouds. Those are the big mountains between me and the ocean and they got a ton of snow so that will be pretty to see once it clears up there. The mountains right behind me are much lower and part of Joshua Tree National Park. They rarely get snow but they got some yesterday! Just took this from my bedroom window this morning!

I need to do a small load of laundry so I have something to wear to work later today. I have some leftovers for lunch. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving with friends, family and/or furkids!

*Just watching a beautiful new diesel pusher pulling into an empty lot 3 doors down from me. New neighbors! Yay! Just walked over to watch. They have a 42' DP trying to pull into a 45' very narrow lot! Very tight fit but they finally made it. Several neighbors helping guide him in. They are from Washington renting the lot for 3 months.

Cathrine, I think my older son must have been OCD. I'm messy and he was alway so neat. We always joked that I brought the wrong baby home.

I didn't know if my son's girlfriend was coming for dinner or not so I cooked too much food. Sent a lot home with my son and I won't have to cook for a while. I didn't want to be tempted by pie so bought a couple of the little 3" mini pies at Walmart. One of my favorite pies is a Buttermilk Pie. They are so easy to make and Walmart wanted almost $8 for one. I'll make one when I can bring it somewhere and not eat it all.

My neighbor is out walking around in the field across the road trying to get his cows to come to the pen. He gets around about as well as I do but refuses to get a 4-wheeler. Men!

I'm going to be warming up some leftover stuffing with my dinner tonight. Yum.

I've spent all day today (with the exception of walking Ty and getting soaking wet on the first walk) calling and interviewing for the store. I just finished emailing several with offers. I have a good feeling about them. Then there was the woman I wasn't going to call... Our emails were insane, but I decided maybe she'd be different on the phone so I should give her a chance. Now, realize, I emailed her on Tuesday saying I'd call after Thanksgiving. On Wed I got an email saying I needed to call. I replied that as my last email said, I'd call after Thanksgiving. So I called today and she couldn't figure out who I was. We went back and forth with her telling me she'd already talked to me. Or maybe her husband had. I said, no neither. I finally said that it didn't appear we could communicate and I wished her much luck in her job search, but we'd agree it wouldn't be this job.

I guess they spent a couple hours figuring out who I was and I just got this email: "I cant believe how rude you are on phone today.i guess that why the store always looking for help .we have friends that know the owner I guess my wife should deal with him.i dont no why u couldn't understand a simple email it that a ca thing"

And that was one of their more understandable emails.

Ok, I'm hoping the rain here is over and the wind is settling down. Fingers crossed the temp rises tomorrow.

Wow! They sound very confused! Sounds like you dodged a bullet there! Hope the others work out for you.

I finished my leftovers already. Back to regular meals. I am going to try to get a ticket for the Christmas party tho. The tickets go on sale on December 6th so I need to be at the door by 8am to get one before they sell out.

Am anxious to see the high mountains once the skies clear up. I could see peeks of them thru the clouds today and they are really heavy with snow. It is fun to see it but not be in it! It is cool here with highs in the 50's but no big deal to me. Funny to see people out here all bundled up in winter coats, and hats!
