Rainy Sunday

Good morning everyone.
Much needed rain on the shore today. A good day to pack up the summer clothing and bring out the winter. Haven’t turned on the heat. This apartment is closed in on two sides so the temperature stays very nice. I was family chauffeur this week for those that needed me. A busy week. :D Safe travels

Good morning Shirl and all. It’s another wet day here. Guess it isn’t that cold but the dampness makes it feel colder. Big game for PSU last night and they pulled out a win so are undefeated so far. I heard there were over 110,000 people at the game. My reason to avoid State College on game days! The fairgrounds had about 400 rvs and campers parked. Friends of mine work the gate and parking so they were super busy. At least it didn’t rain since the parking is on grass. Lola is winterized on Thursday but between the rain and wind we didn’t get her covered. When we get a few days of sun we’ll try again. But at least I can rest easier knowing she’s ready for the freezes that will come. We’ve already had some nights in the low 30’s. Guess I won’t need to mow anymore this season, I moved the mower and pulled out the snowblower so I can get to it when I’ll need it. The roadwork is done and it was all done in the daytime. So we didn’t have to deal with the noise at night like they thought they might have to do. Flag men did a good job keeping the flow of traffic moving. So that’s about it for me. Hoping those with health problems are doing better. And that the storm isn’t causing problems for those in the south. Have a great day and travel safe.

Off to work here shortly. I usually don't work on Sundays due to church but for some reason she scheduled me today. Will have to watch the church service later on You Tube.

Nice cool breezy night last night! Lulls me right to sleep! I watched most of the Patsy movie. I forgot to keep track of the time and missed the first 20 minutes of it  . I cried at the ending tho!

Enjoy your day! :D

Morning gals. Beautiful sunshiny day here in northern Michigan. Last great day to get out and enjoy the fall colors they say. We are past peak in this area here but areas toward the lakeshore on both sides of the northern lower and heading north from here are coming into peak. And of course the change is working it’s way south. Some spectacular co,or this year. Friend and I are heading over to Boyne Mountain to take a chair lift ride to the top. Spectacular views from up there.

Shirl, you sound like me, putting away summer clothes and bringing out the winter. This time of year we bounce back and forth with lightweight to heavy weight jackets, pants, fleece etc.,depending on the day’s weather. Mostly it’s been wet and. Chilly, so fleece has been the choice.

O’Sharon, you have some nice weather heading your way for a couple days since my weather comes your way, so there’s your chance to cover Lola. After this, it’s all downhill, back to rain and gradually falling temps next week.

Velda, sorry to hear about the eye issues. At least there’s some ways to deal with it per say. I’m having some issues too in that my left eye gets a light film over it that comes and goes. It’s got an implant in it, has been lasered once already. Eye specialist gave me a through exam, couldn’t really come up with anything. Thinks probably dry eye. Implant has some scar tissue starting to grow back in both sides but not over the lens itself. He calls it a secondary cataract. Says he won’t go in to remove the tissue cause it doesn’t need it right now and also the fact that the lens is wobbly in there, if they try surgery and that lens falls backwards, it could blind my eye permanently. Forget that. Other eye is doing okay but since it had cataract surgery way back, he cannot do another surgery on it to improve the sight either. It doesn’t have an implant cause they were too new and long term implications uncertain, at that time. So I have a cataract lens in my glasses. Right now am experimenting with eye drops to see which might work best if any. Some leave a film too. And then my dentist informed last week, that a cavity is forming under a crown in my one tooth, so gotta take out crown, take care of.cavity and get a new crown to tune of $1500 bucks. Geez   Getting old is for the birds although this stuff can happen to anyone at any age. Otherwise, life is going good.

Judy, glad you are Improving. Tina, you had a wonderful trip, thanks for sharing. Beautiful picture Beth.

Better get moving along here, friend due to arrive at anytime. Have a great rest of the day all.

Good Morning All, I have not seen the lung doctor yet! I thought I would just ignore the problem (SOB) and learn t o live with it. However, it is getting worse. After walking around three blocks, the fourth bloc is a struggle. Stop to take deep breaths and feels as tho there is no O2 going into lungs. Can still do water jogging, and, weather has been beautiful!!!

I continue to do lots and lots of reading while lying on the couch! Might break all my old records for # of books read in a year!

Lots of tourists still around town. Can tell by the way they walk looking up at the hight rises.

Going over t the daughters today to her wild home to watch the Chargers. What an embarrassment they are!

Lyn, do you have another appointment to get your lungs checked out? You really need to find out what is going on. We worry about you! Breathing is very important!
