It’s Thursday

Good morning! It’s a very damp, chilly and windy morning here in PA. Not the best day to have Lola winterized but at least I’ve drained hot water tank and fresh water. I want to cover her too but with this wind I don’t think it’s a good idea. I don’t want to be up there and I sure don’t want Jim getting hurt either. So that may have to wait for a better day.
Other then that it’ll just have to be an inside day. Judy, hope you’re feeling better. And Tina, I’m so enjoying your posts and photos. I loved the reference to the toast rack. I brought a couple back with me years ago and use them all the time. Or at least when I have toast! Beth, sounds like you are finally just relaxing. Will earned! Okay, time to get to the inside job of the day! Have a great day!

It's almost noon here. Been relaxing and reading. You got my relaxing right, Sharon. I hope you get some good weather to finish putting the rig away.

Tomorrow Ty and I move about 3 whole miles away from the lake and to the river. Three nights there, then another maybe 40 miles to another spot along the river... Where I was able to run Ty off leash when no one else was down by the river. He and I will hope for some luck again. It's also where he and Cheryl's dog Punkin played together.

Tina, I'm so impressed with everything you've done and seen. But it does remind me of the old adage of needing a vacation from the vacation when you get home. That said, it would be well worth it.

Good morning gals! Not for long tho, almost noon here. Luckily, the power came back on just after 10am so I don't have to worry about it getting too warm in the house now. AC is back on and nice and cool in here.

Got the day off and a list of things to do. Will see how far I get with that... I should have gotten up early to work on the outside stuff before it got too hot.

Wondering how Sarah's dog Nicky is doing today. He wasn't doing too well yesterday I guess. Keeping them in my prayers...

Lyn, how did your lung tests go??

Hope you all enjoy your day! :D

Hi ladies~~~

Almost dinner time here in Kentucky. Must be getting old. I eat earlier than when I was working. :?

Did a bit of the barn quilt tour today around this area. Did a good a bit of driving, but was really never more than 30 miles from the CG. Gotta say, even the one lane country roads around here are nicely paved. Only saw one gravel one, and decided to skip it.

Beth enjoy your downtime. I was wondering if that was the park you were at. Say hi to Ranger Alex if he's still there. If you run into a tenter with a motorcycle that looks like a mountain man, say hi to him too. He goes by Lonesome Hillbilly and writes short stories that are sold on Amazon. I ran into him at a few parks last year.

That's it from me. And yes Lyn, let us know how you're doing.

Beth, I would really like a list of your favorite NM State parks. I really want to spend some time there, maybe next fall and winter???

I am really tired out from driving--mostly because I can't take much pain meds while I drive and also must get to Ohio for a doctor appointment, so can't just slow down. I got to Curt Gowdy SP near Cheyenne at about 5:50, just before the sun set. No water here, but I have a little in my tanks and a half gallon for emergency flushes. I have a package of very large wipes that I have been carting around for years, so will have a "shower" with those tonight. It is 8,000 feet high and going to be really cold tonight, so will be using the furnace a lot. I have electric for TV and my little electric heater, so am doing fine, especially since my vicodin has started to kick in.

I was lucky to have a mild case of shingles, and they are already drying up. I think having had shingles as a child and getting the vaccine really helped. They are tiny and really never got too blistery anyway, but the pain on my back and around under my armpit is not much better. I feels like someone kicked me in the ribs, can't wear a bra, etc. Anyway, back to my turkey pot pie for dinner. Will take a half of a vicodin in the morning before driving, as I did this morning. It helps a little.

spent the day with my mom.. enjoyed it we went to the ranch where my brother works I wanted to take the afghan I made for his daughter so he can keep it at his house until niece can pick it up .... it was in a plastic bag too close to a register that was on. fortunately he realized it quick enough that I was able to get most of the plastic off the yarn except one spot but I think it will be ok... hopefully!!! had a good visit and had a nice lunch. He manages a what we used to call a dude ranch but now I think they have a different terminology for it ... during the summer I wanted to take mom on a scenic float trip almost called the brother to see if they offer trips as the one I looked at in town was more than I could afford... wish now I had but now I know so will need to take her next summer...
then one of my dd's and I went to a book club didn't read the book but came away thinking maybe I will.. think it was called the Secret Keeper...
Need to decide when for sure I am leaving with the issues of repairing the fridge I am not sure if I can afford the full week I was going to stay in Ut or not... need to do some deciphering :o
now watching Beat Bobbie Flay nothing on network tv that I wanted to see tonight
