Shopping day, Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Shopping day, Thursday

Postby Shirlv » Thu Sep 26, 2019 9:02 am

Good Morning, Sorry so many are still suffering from abnormal hot weather. The weather has been so erratic am afraid to comment afraid it will swing in the opposite direction. Thursday traveling to the nearby town of Easton that has Real stores. Not that I need much but a day to get out, see people, any people. With cooler weather will be able to sit on the balcony with the herb garden. This summer I could have fried an egg on the floor. Safe travels

good Afternoon to All - weather here in Vegas is looking good. Going to be in the high 80's and 70's the rest of this week. Might get rain today!
Just got back from breakfast and shopping. I bought a new camera- - a Sony Cybershot with 30 zoom and a bunchy of great features., both of my old one were doing strange things. Of course3 had to buy a charger and more batteries because they weren't the same as the old Sonys. Can't wait to use it. Now we'll have to go somewhere I can use it.

Hope it is cooling down for the rest of you. Still a very nice cool breeze here in northern Washington State.

Carol, I love my Sony Cybershot. I got one that had an actual viewfinder because I got tired of trying to see what I was taking a photo of in the bright sun. Mine takes great photos, and most importantly, it is small enough to fit in a pocket. Would hate to carry one of those big cameras.

Been working on my class and on medical bills for my aunt and uncle. This POA stuff takes a LOT of time. Also, plan to dig out my vacuum from my underneath storage and vacuum today. Only do it once every 3-4 weeks, but it really needs it today. I have a long teleconference tomorrow morning, then will be headed to Wanapum, WA. Running out of clothes, but hand-washed some undies so I can make it until I get back to Eugene. Armitage Park has THREE washers and THREE dryers, so makes laundry easy!

Judy, I have to have a viewfinder on my camera, too. I hate that most have gotten rid of them.

I'm sitting here thinking of how RVing changed how I do so many things. Right now I have 3 chargers plugged in so that I'll have them to charge things overnight when necessary boondocking. No, I've never really needed 3 of them but I always figure better safe than sorry and they're so small.

Shirl, I cracked up when I read your egg comment. I used to handle heat better than cold, but not so much anymore.

Beth, I own at least 6-8 batteries for my camera. It came with two extra ones, but then I found a deal for a smaller charger that came with more batteries. I keep them all charged and carry around at least two extra ones with me--in my purse or bike bag or fanny pack--which is why i do not know exactly how many I have.

I also have a lot of good flashlights and keep them at all exits in case I have to exit in a hurry some day. I also have a couple of very low light "candles" when I have no power at night, plus a light controlled by motion, so I don't fall in the dark.

And I don't think I will ever be able to waste water with a long shower the way I used to do!!m

It would be interesting to hear from others about how their lives have changed.

I actually accomplished most of what I set out to do... put the last coat of varnish on the box so all that I need to do is put the felt on the inside bottom and there is something on the side that I am not sure what happened but so not liking it and don't know what caused it nor how to fix it...
the afghan is done did dishes and got a nap in also had the tanks pumped out need to pull out the material for the babies quilt see if I can cut it off in a square.. and if ever I get the table cleaned off set up the sewing machine and then see if I can figure out how to do it...normally at my friends and she sews I talk haha
looks like it is suppose to cool off tomorrow.. not looking forward to winter
looked through the envelope of pictures that my sil left for me some valentine cards that my father in law gave my mother in law so neat to see about half of them he forgot to sign but she knew where they came from..on family search there is a gallery with each family name so think I will put some of those pictures in it... some of my mother in law as well as father in law and then mom's (larry's mom) parent's so fun to look through my husband had this sense of humor looking at the pictures of dad I can see where he got it from...

the few times I've taken a shower not in my rig I still turn the water off after getting wet and before rinsing. And when I decide I want to take a long shower in my rig, I still do that, then think I'm rinsing a long time but have never, not once, run out of hot water.

Slept in this morning. By the time I was about to leave for work, I started hearing thunder off in the distance. When I left, I could see rain heading this way. It never did reach all the way into Palm Desert/Palm Springs area where I work, tho. Don't know how much we got at the house.

Looks like I will have another new neighbor across the street. Some guys were at the house working on it and cleaning all morning. A lot of the snowbirds have that done just before coming back here. Kind of getting it de-summerized!

Got the next 3 days off and I really want to get a lot done around here. Sunday, I won't get much done since I will go to church and then we have an ice cream social in the early afternoon. The weather is supposed to be great! Mid 80's for highs and upper 50's for lows.

Lola is eating me out of house and home again! At least 2 cans of cat food a day, sometimes 3. She needs it to put on weight again but that stuff is expensive! I need to do subQ fluids on her again tomorrow.

Off to bed...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
