Ava, I can believe the food was good! Your ex is an awesome cook as I remember from Thanksgiving a few years back.
Beth, glad things are picking up for you, even if for a short time.
I found a church that I love. I haven't actually been there yet but the service is live-streamed every Sunday and I just love it. I am sad that the current minister is retiring soon. He is awesome! I really need to get my butt out of bed earlier on Sundays so I can actually get there in person!
Need to come up with a plan for today so I don't waste the whole day on the couch!
Lots of things around here just waiting for me to get busy with.
I want to take a day trip towards the end of the week to get a short respite from the heat. Either the beach or the mountains. The beach would be an over-nighter since it is a 2+ hour drive each way. Will see...
It has been in the mid 100 teens this weekend and will continue thru next week. Luckily, not too humid but still hot! When I got in my car yesterday after work, it was 135* in there!
By the time I got home a half hour later, with the AC on high the whole way, it was still 100*. It was 115* outside. They say I will get used to the heat after being here for awhile. I still think it is better than anything below zero, tho!
