Eat Your Jello Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Eat Your Jello Friday

Mornin' ladies~~~
Guess there is a day for everything  . It's also pecan pie, car collector, & different color eye day today.

Not much happening here other than I'm bored here at Camp Dads Driveway. Today was the day the truck was supposed to be finished, but between the sun roof on back order and delays by the insurance company, looks like it will be next week sometime instead. The shop did call and say they are putting everything back together. Had to take the bed off to paint the cab to blend the paint around the back and the bed liner has to be resprayed because the bolts were covered when the original dealer had the lining sprayed. Also putting on a new bed cover, same brand I bought in AZ. The original was dented, even though it had the metal backing. Well over $12K in damages.

Slowly making some reservations for when I can leave after Dads cataract surgery on 7/31. Will spend 2 weeks on the Big Muddy, then meeting friends up by Galena for a few days before heading up to The Dells. Then up towards Door County with Eileen. After that no clue. Would like to head SE this year for a change of pace, but not sure what direction yet.

That's all from the Chitown burbs. Did anyone feel the quake that hit Washington? Take care and have a good day. Martha~stay safe too.

Good morning gals!

After work yesterday I went to the storage place and took two loads of stuff back from the big unit and got that all empty so that is done now. However, there are a few things I somehow got loaded into the back of the Jeep that are super heavy that I don't want to try taking out of the jeep at home for fear of dropping them (and injurying myself). So I need to find someone around here this morning to help me with that. I want to get that out of the Jeep before I hitch up the trailer.

I woke up with an anxiety attack this morning (and for the past several mornings). Just too much stress and things to worry about lately. With the new job and the excessive heat, that isn't helping any. Not sure I will get to moving the trailer today. I will just be happy to get the Jeep unloaded and then get ready for work.

Irmi, have fun today!

Martha, let us know how things are going down there when you get a chance!!

I just finished picking up all the junk in the yard. My hair is a fright and my shirt is wet. I'm sitting in front of a fan to cool off. I just need to load what I'm taking when I leave. It's breeze this morning but so far no rain. Two band came through yesterday. The rain only lasted for about 10 minutes but there was a lot of lightening with it. One big boom when I was outside and I got very short. They are picking up the cattle right now.

I will have to put the kittens and their mother in the bathroom. The other outside cats will have to take care of themselves. I didn't loose any for Rita and we had over 4 feet of water. I'll leave them some food on the hill.

I wish I knew how to make the cameras I have work so I could look on line and see what is going on. A future project.

Ha, didn’t know about a jello day. I usually eat the stuff everyday  Cheryl, you sound like you are getting bored for sure. Hopefully you can get back on the road again after your dad’s cataract surgery. But you have an adventure with Eileen to look forward to. I’m gonna e hauling outta here myself in awhile, time for the big tour of the western and northern (Keweenaw) U.P. coming up.

Just quit working for the day. Started on a stump removal project late yesterday and wanted to finish it today. Had about half dozen or so tree stumps along the lot line here from previous owner cutting them down. Thry weren’t quite level, so tired of having to watch em when mowing and trimming around them. All but the two biggest ones were pretty well rotted and easy Peary to take out. The two biggest ones were harder, require some ax and ra ciprocating saw, p,us shower etc. But I got em. Not bad for a 70 year old women  Course the body will pay for it now. I’m planning on having the split rail fence they are next too removed, so that will make mowing easier all the way around. Just a short 50 ft. Section along the lot line. Trees on both ends, so silly to have that short fence there.

Looks like another wave of hot weather on the way next week again. Sure can’t complain about yesterday and today. Just comfortable, no humidity, perfect weather. Beth, you don’t need to send the hot weather to me. That’s nice of you to be thinking of me, but......

Barb, sounds like you have too many irons in the fire. Just take it a bit at a time. Take the trailer to storage, then that will be out of your way for now, then you can get your other storage place empty and be done with that. You can unpack at your leisure once everything is at the house. If you have gotten by without what’s still in storage thus far, then you probably don’t have an immediate need for it. The heat out there isn’t helping you either. You’ll get er done.

I decided last night I really could not stay at Stewart State Park without cell service because I have a lot of work to do because this is midterm week. I do wish students would actually read the things I post more carefully instead of calling me in the morning because they got something mixed up. Luckily it was not too early today, but I was still in bed.

I am at Valley of the Rogue State Park in southern Oregon. This is a nice, usually quiet place, right off I-5 so it is very handy. They have water and electric sites and also full-hookup sites for only $31, which is a good price. I'll be here for three nights and then on to Armitage for two weeks.

I stopped at Trader Joe's this morning and got two of their very small sourdough loaves. Got one yesterday and decided I needed two more to freeze so I would have them later in the weekend. I like the very small size for one person. And very fresh. Yesterday, loaded up with langostinos and some really good cheese so good meals to come.

Martha, I have been looking at the storm track for Barry, and as far as I can tell from where I sit out here on the West Coast, looks like Abbeville might be in harm's way. Hope you are able to evacuate to high ground, and that the storm veers away and misses your home.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Please keep us posted, as you are able.

I'm exhausted... Stayed up too late last night and got up too early this morning. So I've walked Ty and we're in bed. I'm hoping sleep comes early and the phone stays silent.

actually didn't do anything on the kitchen today... we went shopping a dangerous activity any time but this place is going out of business... so many people shop on line that it's making it hard for those of us that don't
so bought more than I should have... oh well new skirt and two new pants then to Penny's and a new shirt almost got two tops with the other stuff but decided to shop around and find something a bit cheaper did for one of the tops but need to look for something for the skirt... then letter boxing didn't find the second one but did the first.. then to pick up the truck it was suppose to be ready on Weds. but the wrong part was sent then had a hard time finding a different one because of trucks being late due to holiday... oh well I was beginning to get worried about it as I had them check something else as well and got to worry about what they found as it was so much later than expected... but got it and for a cheaper price as the part was cheaper...yea me!!!
then we met the rest of the family for supper and the concert... was really good if you get the opportunity would recommend his concert Hugh Jackman... quite the showman... and the energy amazing....
so that was my day am way tired maybe I will go to sleep earlier than normal.. son told granddaughter not to wake up grandma haha we will see I will be happy to make it to 8 o'clock
Martha take care... Barbi take a down day or week then hop to it again... once that trailer is moved think you deserve a break... Judy been to that campground it is super nice

Martha, Please leave a lot of food and water for the kitties in the bathroom just in case things get bad and you can't get back there for awhile. So many pets died in Katrina because people assumed they would be back home in a day or two and didn't leave enough food for them for the longer time it took to get back to them. I am sure you have already planned for that tho.

I found a worker here that was able to unload my Jeep for me this morning. Will try to move the trailer after work tomorrow but it may be too hot to do so. It will be around 118* tomorrow. Dangerous temps to be doing anything outside. I am sure the park manager will understand if I can't move the trailer until next week when it cools off some. The trailer is in a small parking lot that isn't being used right now. I got the memory foam mattress pad today and should get the comforter tomorrow. Picked up some sheets tonight at WM, so that will be done and ready for camping. Don't need much for the kitchen other than my extra toaster, some paper plates, cups and plastic ware, and some utensils. Then get a sway hitch installed. Will probably go with the Andersen hitch again. Just need to find a place that knows how to install it right.

Apparently there was a 4.9 aftershock early this morning. I thought I heard some noise under the house about then but nothing like I had heard the first time so didn't really think much about it. Just heard about it tonight.

My coworkers are very nice and the customers so far are great. Not terribly busy but it is a fairly new shop, but the tips are good.

There is a Whole Foods across the parking lot from the shop and I got some pizza for lunch there. They had an all natural lavender oil product for relaxation and stress reduction so I bought it. You just put it on your pulse areas. I used it a couple times at work and it did seem to help me feel less anxious.

I decided to hold off on taking Lola to another vet the other day and found a holistic product on-line that is suppose to really help with diarrhea in cats. It had a 5 star rating from hundreds of reviewers. I just got it yesterday. I put 4 drops mixed into her food twice a day. Tonight, her stool was still loose but formed a bit so that is a good improvement. It is supposed to take up to a week to start working, so I am encouraged. My house has a constant stench in here that I can't get rid of even tho I clean the litter box every time she uses it. Am getting tired of that, so hopefully this will take care of her issues soon! If it cools off some time next week I could open the windows at night and air it out a bit. Suppose to be in the mid hundred teens into early next week!

At 10pm it was still 109* tonight! Got to 116* today. :o

I love jello with whipping cream on it! :D
