Bogue Chitto State Park

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Who's idea was it to go camping in June anyway. OMG it's hot. I'm glad I didn't sign up to go kayaking. This is a nice, very wooded park but no breeze at all. I was feeling so bad I almost cancelled. Most of the trip was on I-10 and traffic was backed up for miles in places. Traffic was just creeping over the Baton Rouge bridge and I hate to be stopped on that bridge. My TomTom GPS was trying to take me all over. One of these days I'm going to stop on the side of the road and throw it as far as I can. I spent half a day updating it. At least it has quit saying recalculating every time I wouldn't do what it wanted.

Don't know what we will do today besides the potluck tonight. I usually bring a bunch of food but not this time. Hope some of you are having cooler weather.

Got up early to return the U-Haul truck. Now I just have to find someone to remove my slider so I can get my furniture inside. I called one place that wants $125 per hour. Then I need to find someone who can be here to help move the furniture in while they are here.

Martha, I can share some of our wind! We have gale force winds here right now! Stuff blowing around all over the place! Was nice and cool when I returned the truck but was hard to keep the truck on the road with the strong winds!

I feel a nap coming on already!

Good Morning! Night and morning low clouds with sun in between. Same ole, same ole. Only 6 * between HI and Low!
Big concert at PetCo Park tomorrow night. Will be lots of fans roaming the streets.
Will be interested in seeing your new trailer Cheryl. Is this your third or fourth?
Barbie, isn't it true...it's one thing or another.
Judy, been following your comments on the aunt and uncle. What a horrible situation! Sorry you have to go through this.
Valerie's boyfriend is off on his motorcycle trip, so I have Val home with me all the time. I am enjoying her company. Will miss her when she goes on her vacation.
I enjoyed that soccer game yesterday. Monday morning will be a big game. All the games now will be very exciting!
Off to the pool as the sun is beginning to peek out!

Martha I dont envy you. I'm not a fan of heat & humidity, so I'm really not complaining about the cooler weather here in IL.

Barbie, when I had sliding doors, they could just be lifted out. The rollers on the bottom could be adjusted to do it. Ask your handy man.

Lyn, nice that Val is home for a bit. Bet Benji likes having her around too. This will be my 4th trailer Lyn. 3rd one that's a Grand Design.

Been busy getting everything out of the TT and in to Dads. Dont know how I did it in one night, In a dealer's lot overnight at that, the last time. Boy I must have gotten old in 1 years time!

Have a good day everyone.

I did get the name of the resident handyman and am waiting for him to come over. Meanwhile, I am laying on one of the love seats in the sunroom. It is getting warm out here but still have a decent breeze.
Lyn, I am sure Val missed you a lot while you were gone on your trip too.

I ordered new glasses from Zenni optical and they should arrive today. I got narrow lenses so I can read things below the lenses without taking the glasses off. Otherwise I am constantly taking them off and putting them on again and they get so dirty from doing that. I have tried bifocals but didn't care for them.

I think I need to go inside and make some lunch. Have a good day!

Barbie: I agree with Cheryl. Your sliding door should be able to be lifted out fairly easily.

The handyman came over and took the slider off and had another guy come over to help move the love seats inside for me. So that all worked out good. He said he will come back to get some other things taken care of on my list of repairs.

Then the guy showed up with my golf cart. I took it for a ride around the resort. It is really fun, and with the wind blowing on me, it kept me cool. They installed two small fans on the dashboard that I can use if there is no wind. The stereo is new and really nice. I may have to cruise around often! I like to look at all the metal art and things people have on their homes and in their yards. Each place is so unique. Having the golf cart will also make it a lot more convenient for getting the mail and taking my trash to the dumpster which is in the next block over. I have to order my name plaque yet for out by the street.

Got my new glasses and really like them. They are rimless but the bows have a little decoration on them so they look feminine and dainty! :D Now I just have to frost my hair and I will look like a cool desert chick cruising around!

It is still crazy windy out! Sustained winds at 30 to 50 mph! Palm frond pieces are falling down all over. Also very dusty. :o My car is filthy! Supposed to die down late tonight.
