Stressful Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Stressful Tuesday

Postby JudyJB » Tue Jun 18, 2019 1:38 pm

No one else has posted, so I am going to post and vent: 1) Very stressful drive to Bodega Bay yesterday on extremely narrow road and hit something with right mirror. It works but glass is cracked. 2) Aunt and uncle situation getting worse as irritating cousin is trying to take control because he sees $$$. Even though he legally cannot, he keeps trying. Caregivers do not like him and one is afraid of him! Law office sent him letter, but I have to get his access to Georgia home deleted. Grrrrr. 3) 12 volt computer charger that worked fine for two years, but now says it is not the right charger! 4) Have to grade final exams and get grades turned in my tomorrow afternoon. And finally, 5) Have to fly to Florida on 25th, so need to arrange RV storage and revise camping reservations. Whew.

OK, on a positive note, I am with son and grandkids in Bodega Bay and the fresh air is lovely. A little chilly, but nice to see everyone. His wife is a middle school principle so she has to work entire month of June. Son is teacher so shorter school year. So, onward to get papers graded, and finish making phone calls. Things WILL get better.

Sorry, Judy. I think about you handing your aunt and uncle's problems and just want you to know how remarkable it is that you do it as you do. It's a very difficult situation made worse by this cousin. Get the papers graded and try to relax.

Roberta moved from the Mt Rushmore KOA where she was unhappy to the little cg behind the store by me today. We'll be going to Custer State Park on Thursday. Then a few days later I hope to take Steve and Irmi there. I hope they all enjoy it as much as I do.

My neighbors just got back from a trip to Mt Rushmore a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember where all they went but were on a bus trip for 11 days. I use to go on a bus trip with the cattle women every year but now I kind of feel about bus trips the same way I feel about cruises. I don't want to herded around like cattle.

Judy, it's hard enough to deal with caring for someone where you are present. Good thing you have some lawyers helping.

I decided to go to Walmart and get what I need for the weekend and cat food. I couldn't remember what the meal plans are so all I have are salads and hot dogs. I need to eat more salad anyway.

Slept in late this morning. Had some creepy dreams, and the feelings from it have lingered all day. Hate that!

Got more clothes and kitchen stuff put away today. Also got my outside porch set up with my outside furniture. Looks more inviting now. Also got my kitchen table and chairs set up and kitchen curtains put up. There was a tacky stained glass swag lamp hanging over the table. I had ordered a really nice swag lamp awhile back and figured I would have to get someone to rewire the new one in the ceiling after removing the old one. As I was looking at it tonight, it dawned on me that I could just switch out the lamp shades instead. So I tried it and it worked! Looks SO much better and was a piece of cake to do! Sometimes I amaze myself!

The power here is supposed to be turned off for about 6 hours tomorrow to get the power cable installation finished that they had to replace thru out the park. Residents are invited to go to the clubhouse with their pets if it gets too warm at home. Will see how it goes.

Am watching a PBS special about John Denver. He was so awesome!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
